Sweet Rom Kernel - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys.
Just seeing what would be the best kernel for sweet rom? Just want speed and snappy response. I mean, to tell you the truth, it's pretty dam fast in the stock kernel it comes with, just want more. Haha.
Thanks guys.

try them yourslef to see which performs best for you, every device reacts differently even with the same combo, so what works good for me wont necessarily work good for you.. now that being said i personally have had best results with lean kernel

Beast mode - Rage worked best well for me, lean kernel was a close 2nd from my benchmarking.

Sweet man thanks. Giving lean a try now. Doesn't feel as snappy as SneakyKat or the stock that sweet came with. Do you have any abnormal behaviour? Have you guys had any issues with screen rotation?
Thanks again!

Could I get you to post a link? I've searched for that kernel and can't seem to get anything up. Sorry...
Hope it's not a governor and here's me looking for a kernel called Rage! Haha.

Multiple posts on this, one search would have done it. You need to recalibrate your battery and let a few cycles go by. Battery stats mean nothing right now until you do that.
The rom looks alright even though I don't like the theme. I like TW and all but I'm getting tired of 2.2 roms with themes that I have already seen.

Meh...
I just loaded Bionix 1.3.2test with Overstock 2.4.1 kernel, so I'm not really into (re)loading all the apps and stuff right now.
Freaking takes hours to get it right.
I wanna try the next gen Bionix. I've downloaded it already but I hate the blue theme. I'm a big fan of the GB colors and the old Bionix theme. So I'm gonna wait until someone makes a theme or a GB themed next gen is available.

I just do a clockwork backup and then do an advance restore userdata after flashing the new rom. I haven't attempted the technique for two different roms (such as Bi-Winniner to Bionix) but from Bionix-V to Bionix NextGen beta and NextGen 1 worked fine for me.
What's up with all the xda-tw drama again? Mods locked down one thread because it didn't have a direct dl link, and another - because it did??? Lol
I flashed Malice III yesterday and did a full titaniuim restore ... only to wake up this morning with a urge to check the team whiskey forums ... seen this was a public release and clicked downlaod then I flashed it.

From a moderators perspective if a thread in the Development section does not contain anything Development related then it should get locked. If there is no link then it's rather pointless and based on personal experience will only cause issues between other members and the developing party.
In other words, if there is nothing good that can come from it then it naturally closed as a preventative action.
The other thread was locked because the link posted was for that of the BETA release which was intended ONLY for those who had donated to TeamWhiskey. Now requiring donation for download is in conflict with the interests with XDA-Developers and the community so we cannot and will not have that here on XDA.
By the way... I'm not your moderator so I have nothing to do with the decisions that were made. Here I am just like yourself. An ordinary member.

Hey I would suggest a layout like rom manager... split it up by phone and band... i'm not a programmer just an apps analyst. But if you design it like the clockwork rom manager then it should be easy to use.... sorry I couldn't give more input.
What kind of functionality do you anticipate that the app will have? If it's merely an app for downloading modems, it shouldn't be too hard. If you want it to be able to reboot into clockworkmod and install the modem, I think it would be harder. Though I haven't read anything about doing the latter, just assuming here.

Just use ktoonz kernal and getting the newest version after that go down to the bottom of the post and click the link that says for older builds then go to post 5 I believe it is and choose a setup that is performance oriented and there you go.. why would you need a whole rom to be gamming oriented? Im guessing you just want better performance. . Hope this helps

I'm just really baffled by this thread. The hardware in this phone is more than powerful enough to run anything in the Play Store without any mods or tweaks. The only thing that's "hard to understand" is why you would need a specially-tweaked rom for gaming when any old rom you flash will do just fine. You can hardly compare a gaming PC with a phone.

XDA is a development site not a support site. As such members are expected to do the research, read through the development threads and decide what is BEST for them. The only results that would be posted here are what each member has found to be BEST for them by experimentation based on their phone/usage/setup/apps/signal strength. Please take the time to read through those development threads to learn all about the software you are about to drastically alter your very expensive device with.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.

DSIXDA Android Kitchen Support? Aroma support?

As of yesterday i have officially gotten the Galaxy Note 3 in my hands! With that being said i am now going to start development and try and get an awesome ROM out to you guys! Before i start i must know if DSIXda's android kitchen works with this device. And also if Aroma Installer is supported with this device. Really looking forward to start development and get a few Roms out there for you guys but i gotta know this first. Also feel free to let me know what you would like to see in a ROM, especially what kind of theme. My ROMs do have a history of having some kick a** sound mods in them so do expect that!

Why wouldnt you just build and test?

well, your reasoning might be good. Is it the Samsung crapware on the bootloader? I am not being funny, it's just that your answer was very brief and I couldn't see whether you had done any dev work on your member profile. If you have a particular and valid reason I would be interested because I am just learning and atm trying to figure out how to complile a cm11 for n3 9005 model.

Best stock kernel?

Hi guys.
Ive been surfing xda for a stock kernel that can run with the sammy stock. All i want it to debloat the rom a bit either myself or downloading a debloated rom and a custom kernel to try and save a bit of battery and lags. I want to keep all the s features at the same time though. Except the stupid things that are no use for anything.
Could someone give me some guidance on the subject. Mainly for the kernel and rom that does the things i listed above. Im new to the note 4 so not too acquainted yet.
Cheers beforehand to any help received.

the best suggestion I can give you, is read, and read....and read
If you read a lot, you become wiser. Then, you get to know, what is a kernel, what you can expect from a kernel and what does not make sense to expect from a kernel

you ask for two contradictory things that no kernel in the world can give you.
You want good consumption or good performance? The settings for one of them, implies bad results in the other one.
