Hey guys,
I think i just got a brand new Find 5 because the support replaced it.
The camera was working on stock and then i rooted my device and put Asylum Omni Rom on it, but now the camera is not working anymore.
When drawing a circle on the turned of screen it enters the app but says "No connection to camera" or smth similiar. Furthermore I have no camera app even if i flashed PA Gapps and banks Gapps.
I also updated to the newest Rom version.
Thank you very much in advance!
Can you use a file explorer to navigate to system/app and find camera2 and try to install it?
I have similar problem with CyanogenMod. In Color OS, camera works in CyanogenMod I receive same error as you are. Many others don't have this problem, so I am guessing that our phones or cameras are a bit different.

When going in System/apps i only find googleCamera.apk and i cannot install it because a error occurs: "Could not install"
Did you find a solution?

If you use asylum, full wipe, flash ROM, flash minimal gapps, reboot. Should be ok. Google camera is only when you flash pa regular gapps or similar.

Did you try clean install, dirty install from other rom especially color os will gives you problem, or camera may be known issue in asylum rom version which you installed

First which ROM version are you using. Second make sure you're using the latest gapps 20224, that's currently the one I'm using.
There is a newer version of gapps 22304, but I have not tested it so feel free to try it also.

You are not supposed to open the zip, you flash directly the downloaded zip with the phone with recovery mode

Probably testing to see if the file is corrupt, which it was.
Thank you Flashers.
I have downloaded from original RR site. but still it's damaged one. unbelievable
well let's try once again.. can i flash this to XXLPW base??
1.You don't need to open the .zip.
2.Most probably your browser isn't downloading the whole ROM.I had this problem with Mozilla Firefox.Use some other browser and check that you have the same file size after downloading as listed on the download site.
Hope this helps.
Original file size is 391.482 MB but downloadable file size is 373MB, don't know why??
Redownload the file again

Try one of the mirrors... Don't download through your browser use a download manager
How are you trying to flash the rom?
It should be flashed using CWM Recovery.
By any chance, would you be using ODIN or Rom Manager to flash it?
If so, such issues are expected.
I was getting this trouble with every Rom I tried. Saved each to external.
Then I tried saving to internal with external removed and bingo no problems.I will format external and try again sometime but for now more than happy with RR 2.6

Finally downloaded correct file and installed RR 2.6, very happy
Thanks flashers...

Install Jelly Bean 4.2 Keyboard from the market and use that one instead
I can't download from the market on account of I don't have a working keyboard. ill try downloading the apk.
there must be something wrong with gapps. it runs fine before installing gapps. after installing gapps i installed the keyboard but the rom is very unresponsive, the account setup kept glitching, couldnt get the market to connect to the internet, and the home button doesnt work. whats going on? would someone mind sending me a backup that is working and already has gapps installed or point me in the direction where i can find that.

I've tried a couple and the same thing happens. The one I've been using is gapps-jb-20121212.zip. I'll try again.
I'm downloading the one off of cyanogenmod website under nexus 7 grouper. I'm pretty sure I don't have the gsm version but I'll check.

What's the deal with cm development on this tablet. I even just tried to download the play store apk and it force closes.
Idk I am pretty dissapointed because I've always loved the CM ROMs but thats what XDA is for.

I'm having the same difficulty with CM 10 on a Sony Xperia Arc. Have tried multiple kernels (included with CM Roms, or not) and Gapps packages. If it is possible to load a stock or other keyboard after flashing a ROM, I'd like to hear about this.
I am currently running the latest paranoid android Rom on my nexus 4 using Franco's milestone 2 kernel. I am having problems installing apps that I downloaded (e.g., Adobe flash update). What happens is I can see the installation screen with the different permissions, but I cannot click on the install button. It works when I install apps from the play store but not through root browser, astro, es explorer. I have tried other apks to make sure it's not just that one file. As well, I had even removed those dimmer apps like twilight and lux before installing. I also stopped the running applications and then tried installing. I'm stumped and I have no idea what to try next. Maybe there is another uncommon app that I need to uninstall before installing off my card...
If anyone has any suggestions, that would be greatly appreciated.

Disable HALO if you want to install apk`s.
Geez. You know how to flash paranoid android but not how to search? This has been mentioned many times..
Disable screen filter if you by any chance using it
It happened to me yesterday and it was found it was caused by file screen.

Disable Halo, then you can install it.

you can not install adobe flash from the play store, flash does not support android 4.2.2. yoy would need to install it from the adobe site list of past flash updates. same with any other app from the play store that doesnt support the nexus 4 or the right android version.
thanks

AppWidgetDisplay
Also AppWidgetDisplay for Sony Smartwatch causes such behavior.
There is another way which will always work, If you don't want to waste your time.
Just use adb to install. As shown in the post below.

Hi all,
I just rooted to Carbon ROM and am able to scroll around and open applications etc, but my Home button isn't working, keyboard isn't available, gapps are missing etc. I loaded on the latest gapps (gapps/gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip) through CWR but I guess these issues are pointing to the fact it hasn't worked? I might be wrong on this, so please correct me.
My phone has 4.3 android and loaded with SuperSU v 1.65.
Please help?
Thank you

It's a Nexus 4. I figure out the issue. It was basically an incorrect gapps file, so none of the basic phone features were working. Thanks though.
