My mobile is LG L3 II (e-430) and i cant enter emergency mode. I tried volume up+volume down+power but it jus takes me to the lg logo and is stuck there forever. The only thing i figured out is download mode, i can enter it by pressing volume down and plugging my usb cable into my PC. Is download mode same as emergency mode? I need help fast. Thanks.
EDIT: i am in download mode (it is the same as emergency, i have seen it on a forum) and then i do all the steps... (download firmware, kdz ...) then i launch software update and then the program stops responding and after some time it crashes. here is the log: Launching SW update
Unpacking KDZ
after that it stops responding and crashes .
Thats normal i think

Hey all! I've been fighting with similar errors for a couple days and I figured out what happened. I was stuck in fastboot mode the first time due to installing the d802 Cyanogen mod on my d800 AT&T phone on accident (wiki threw me off...) and the second time I attempted to flash a boot.img that was close but not quite right for my phone, causing the boot verify fail issue.
In the first case, my phone eventually went dead and I was able to enter download mode by holding volume up and plugging in the cable while it was still dead. In the second, I found that holding all buttons (volume up, down, and power) continuously eventually made it shut off completely. BUT you have to KEEP holding it, even after it reboots!! Once I got to that stage, the LG Flash software worked wonderfully. Once you get it reset, double and triple check you have the right rom file, then check a few more times just to make sure. Hope that helps!

I probably souldn't have done that...
Code:
ERROR : BOOT certification verify
[830]-----------------------------------
[880]
[930]Secure booting Error!
[1030]
[1080]----------------------------------
That's the error message I get when I boot, this is after I hold the power down button for about 10sec. Then it goes back to black.
The solution seems to be here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142 . Problem is that I used a kdz file to install my ROM and it doesn't have any img files.
When I connect my phone to my pc, a whole lot of local disks pop-up, of which I can acces only 1. This one has a lot of adsp.b00, adsp.b01, adsp.b02, etc files in it together with some other bXX (where XX is 01 to 26) files.
i haD usbhq_bulK and many drives all i had to do was flash tot.with flash tools if your doesnt go into download mode.. use srk toold to nuke download mode if it fails then open phone and short circuit the motherboard..

Sorry for late response i was answering an pm First follow that download mode thing, I will later post the fastboot way if download mode doesn't work for your own safety cause fastboot is also dangerous :good: If you can't enter download mode at once, Try it several times.
Download the LG usb drivers if you haven't done that yet,
Since you probably aren't gonna use the android SDK but only to use fastboot/adb download this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
To enter download mode:
How to Enter Download Mode on LG G2 (STEP BY STEP GUIDE).
1.Turn off the smartphone before beginning the step by step guide. For making this press power button from your device and then select “power off”.
2.Now, press the volume up on the device.
3.While the volume up button is holding, take the USB cable and plug in the device.
4.Now, keep the Volume up button pressed until the Download Mode is being to be displayed.
If it shows download mode read through this guide and then you can fix it without fastboot:laugh: also read through the other steps while doing it.
If you already had installed the LG usb drivers then you can skip step5
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
5.Now, the device will start to install some drivers, and for this action it will take around 10 minutes to complete. So, you need only to wait and to let the device to install the suitable drivers.
6.Important, when you’ll update the LG G2 device by using the Download Mode, do not remove the USB cord while the installation process is in progress as you can end up the process by bricking the device.
7.Next, you can return to the LG G2 Android OS by pressing the power button.
8.Keep pressing the power button until the LG logo will be displayed.
9.Now, you can safety disconnect the USB cable.
So i can solve this problem this simple.? I thought I was gonna have to send it to repair. Thanks I will try this later when I'm on pc. Will post updates

Hi, i think i bricked my lg g2 d802. Long story short, the phone won't boot into recovery (stock, not custom recovery) or download mode. Even if i enter download mode, the phone would get stuck on the download mode with dots below it or something, basically it won't actually boot into download mode. The phone is stuck on the lg logo with the multicolor led flashing. All button combinations are working. Please please please do help me I'm really desperate to fix it since the last 3 days. Thanks.

Hi.
Download mode is when you press and hold the volume up key and plug the usb into a computer. Youll get a black screen with a box that says download. Nothing else will happen until you get the correct software.
If you can get it into the download mode, you will need the LG Flash tool, the LG drivers, the stock rom for your phone and about 15 minutes of your time.
LG Flash tool and LG Drivers from here ----> http://lgflashtool.com/
Stock Rom from here -----> http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda%2FLG+G2%2FStock%2F
How to:
Install LG Drivers.
Extract the stock rom KDZ from zip file.
Run the flash tool and where it says "select KDZ file", browse to where you unzipped the stock rom you downloaded and select the file.
Hold down the volume up button on your phone and plug it into your computer by USB. Your phone will have a black screen and a blue box that says "Download". If it doesn't, you're not in download mode. Try again.
Once in download mode, Click "CSE Flash" in the flash tool
In the next window click "Start"
Now give it around 10 minutes to flash. You'll see the progress on the phone screen. Once done the phone will reboot and you'll be up and running again.
Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for your reply. But i fixed it using srktool method by shorting the capacitors.
As i said , i could not boot into download mode. Lg flash tool works only when the phone can boot into download mode afaik. Luckily, i was able to boot into qhsusb_bulk mode and fix the phone using srktool. Now i can boot into download mode. Anyways, i fixed it. Thanks for your help

Make sure you find the proper ones. You need to remove the metal shield thing before shorting. It requires a lot of patience to short those caps properly. Once do you do it properly, the screen backlight should light up. Good luck
Hello there!
I've tried to go from android 9.0 beta build to the released LG one for my country (H87030a_00_PLS_PL_OP_0905). The installation went ok. But the phone was stuck on logo. So I did factory reset by holding vol- + power button. Now the phone is stuck on boot logo, and it doesn't turn off.
After that I've tried going with this instruction: (https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g6/how-to/lg-g6-unbrick-method-t3935924). But on clicking download button step in QFIL, there goes "Download Fail Switch to EDL FailFailed to Switch to Emergency Download Mode"
Sooooo I would try to install again the original kdz file by LGUP again but the phone is stuck on LG G6 ThinQ logo :|
Would anyone help me out with this?

Worked, I am in download mode, but when I try to go through link instruction to install working KDZ, after clicking "start" the error window pops up:
"Error: 0x81000302, Please use latest DLL
LAF Protocol version is not match DLL=116608592
Device = 124133408"
EDIT: Tried with not "partition dl" option but with the upgreade one. Everything went fine but! Now I am back at the solution of the problem. Back at LG G6 ThinQ powered by android logo :/
EDIT2: Menaged to make it work. It turns out that despite that I bought my phone in local store in Poland, it doesn't mean I get phone specificlly sold for this region market. I got it for POC region. It makes difference :| Thanks anyway guys
Have you already solved your problem? I have exactly the same as yours, stands on the LG logo and you can not turn off the phone or enter the download mode
My lg g6 H870 bootlooping again and again. Download mode is not coming. Factory reset not working.
Please help me.
I never had to do this with my G6, but to unbrick my old LG L9 i had to invoke Download Mode manually, instead of waiting for the flash tool (connected via ADB) to perform a reboot to Fastboot to perform the actual flash process.
That never happened after upgrading from Windows 7 to 8.1 and later, but i suspected the phone's no longer supported TI OMAP SoC to be the culprit.
If i remember correctly for the real Download Mode the phone had to be switched off and while keeping volume up or down pressed(and not power, but i'm not sure) you had to attach phone to usb and if you didn't accidentially release the button during that , the phone would power up into the special D/L mode, unlike Fastboot which would be used otherwise.
Then Windows and flash tool would recognize the phone. With the original LG recovery tool performing online recovery it then worked, while with the unofficial tools and a kdz file it was trial and error for no reason.
But LG's trusted flash tool is no longer supported on the G6 since the Android 8 update, you need the proper new tool(which cannot even deal with UHD screens unlike the old one).
(The original LG flash recovery tool and the inofficial ones can both initiate a reboot- to- Fastboot AND recognize D/L mode and hopefully the current tool, too.
And you can always try to invoke Fastboot by power and vol up or down, but that was no longer an option with the L9 back then)

You need to do this
1. immediately after start connect usb cable to your device and pc, press and hold power button + volume down
2. asap as it reboots stop holding previously mentioned buttons (while screen is black) and press and hold volume up
that's all if you'll do it right Download mode should come up
