Hi, I have an att s4. When I open my music app it doesn't have certain songs. Before it had all my songs. I tried google play music and the same songs are missing. Any suggestions.

I assume you have them on a microSD card? I believe that's the problem but I'd never be able to prove it. Sometimes when I put **** on the SD it just disappears or doesn't copy.
Look up any media rescan app and you should be fine if they were there before.
Try remounting sdcard

I had the same issue. I remounted the SD card and that fixed the problem.

You may have gotten a bad ROM flash.
After deleting my album art from a few songs with album art grabber, google music started to bug. Whenever i play a song it starts with dashes and end with 0. Also when i move the cursor, it skips the song. Please help asap

Have you tried to uninstall and re-install "Google Play Music" from the market?
Otherwise go to Settings > Apps and clear App Data
Tried to do both( uninstall updates and clear data) however is not working

Connect phone to a PC and check for music and artwork cache folders under Android folder.
Remove them, disconnect phone, restart phone and try again.
Is the music on the phone, or in the cloud?
My music is in the storage. Ill try that method when i get home

I think the folders are;
Internal Storage\Android\data\com.google.android.misic
Internal Storage\Android\data\com.android.providers.media\albumthumbs
If you still have issues, then move (not copy) all the Music files to your PC and check the ID3v2 tags in Windows Media Player or iTunes.
Some tag editors may change more than just the album art. Fix them there, then move them back, or get a Google Music account and upload them to the cloud. You can edit the tags in the cloud with a desktop browser as well. I have more than 11,000 songs in the cloud and less issues than when I only kept a small number on my phone.
Also its label .mpga instead of .mp3

I use an app called iSyncr. It's available on the Play Store.
Hi all. Whenever I download a picture or a file, I can view it in from the downloads app, but it does not show up in the gallery, at all. Also I have a music app that allows me to save songs on the phone, and it saves them, but they can not be found anywhere, not on phone storage, not on SD. This all started after I installed an external Sd card. What can be the reason?

use a media scan app
And as for your music files, try using PowerAmp, it's a great music player that finds your music by scanning your entire device.

And the best thing with it is that you can set it to scan just the folder you put your music in, so you don't have to listen to ringtones when playing random playlists
Poweramp is the #1 player for me!
Hi guys,
I transferred all my music on to an microSD card, however half of my songs do not play on the player for some unknown technical reason. I tried using alternative music players, such as Doubletwist and PowerAmp and had the same result. Many of these files are MP3 files and they do not play as they should.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Sound like they were corrupted. Try deleting them (ideally format the card) and re-adding them.
I have 10.4GB of mp3 files on my (crappy)microSD, all play smoothly.

Thanks I tried it, it seems to be working better now. I think the files got corrupted during the transfer.
