Hello guys !
Last Sunday I bought a LG G2 D803 (Canada Telus version). Phone had jelly bean installed in it, was rooted (didn't know at point), was accepting any sim (made a few call with it). When I got home I connected it to the wifi and did the OTA update to kitkat. I found the phone stuck upon reboot to the lg logo. I used LG flash tool to put it back to stock and I have the phone now running kitkat (root lost). Now here is what is happening:
- Phone doesn't recognize any of the sims I have tried (Tried Rogers, ChatR, and Koodo). It doesn't everything else but says "No sim card"
- I checked about phone and I can see the IMEI and baseband and all that (it's not null nor void)
- I turned it off several times removed the sim for a while put it back and turn it on again no luck
- I used the flash tool to try to downgrade to jelly bean and no luck with that.
I am pretty sure that this is not a hardware problem (at least I hope). I am out of ideas though. Any suggestions as to what is causing the phone not to read sim cards and possible solutions?
Got it to work

This is what I did (I hope it helps someone who is stuck in the same situation):
1. Rooted phone by using Kingo App
2. Installed TWRP 2.7.0 with the AutoRec App
3. Rebooted into custom recovery
4. Did a wipe (except for data)
5. Fixed permissions
6. Turned it off
7. Removed sim for a couple of minutes
8. Put back sim and boot
Working now!!!
Hi, I recently started having trouble with my gf's phone (Nexus 4 running lollipop 5.0, lte enabled, tmo). It started shortly after I enabled a SIM lock pin on the sim, but not sure if that's the cause or not... The phone started to intermittently drop signal, and would not make calls (it would just appear to be dialing, but you'd hear no ringing and never connect). When I'd restart the phone, I could usually make a call. I tried to fix it by restoring everything the stock image, rechecking the apn, making sure stock radio was installed, etc, but the problem persisted and eventually got to the point that voice calls did not work at all. LTE and data worked to get onto the internet, but once a call was attempted to be made, it'd lose all signal. I discovered eventually that if I switched off lte/4g/3g, and only kept gsm 2g on, I could make a voice call. Next I tried her SIM card in my phone (Note 2 on Android 4.4, t-mobile) and as soon as I put her sim in, my phone started doing the same thing. After switching back to my SIM (that was working just fine, before), now MY phone is stuck with the same problem! (Can only make calls with just 2g enabled). I'm at a total loss. Has anyone experienced anything similar, or do you have possible solutions/ideas on how to fix this?
Flash stock and unroot you'll be fine

I flashed back to stock image a couple of times via wugfresh toolkit, but got the same results each time. I did, however, just fix my note 2 by removing my sim (the one that was previously working), flashing stock via odin (didn't help in recovery), and then replacing the original sim. This leads me to believe that the sim in the n4 is somehow corrupted and once loaded, permanently changes some settings somewhere. (I hope that's the problem, and not the phone). I'll pick up another sim card from tmo tomorrow and try flashing stock again before loading it. Any idea what would cause this? The only thing I did different was set up sim lock on the card, and it seemed to work just fine for a while, till it didn't... Thanks for the help, I'll let you know if the new sim works.
Solved
For anyone who may be having the same problem, here is how I solved it. I picked up a new sim card from t-mobile, flashed a stock rom via toolkit (with the sim card not installed), loaded rom, installed sim, loaded correct apn. Everything works as it should now.
Hi friends
I have LG G2 D802 Phone. I have bought this phone 2 years before, was working perfectly but from last 3-4 months, it has got network problem. The problem is, when i insert a sim card and powered on the phone, it remains searching for network and shows the message "Emergency Calls Only".. I have done hard reset, flashed the phone with stock rom, flashed with stock modem zip etc.. But nothing happened. I wonder if this is software related issue or hardware as it sometimes catch the signals for few minutes. Sometimes, it shows fake signals. I m extremely tired of trying many many things which i have found on different forums but problem is still there. Its really annoying. PLZ HELP ANYONE. My phone is currently on LP 5.0.2 16GB 30d Stock rom. Kernel version 3.4.0. Thanks
I have a LG G2 f320s
Often during use (sim card) phone turns off, reboot and lost range, but after 3 days without sim card smarthone work properly even when heavily loaded (YT and chrome at once).
Tested on Stock KitKat, Stock 5.0.1 and 3.3 Cloudy
What could be causing the reboots
Regards
Broken SIM? Try an other. Maybe somthings short-circuited.
others sim cards turns off too?
I got a locked Tmobile h872 that I put TWRP and flashed diferent roms so I get rid of the Tmobile Lock thing.
Suddenly it just wont read my sim card anymore. Ive tried reset, change sim, flash other rom, kernel...nothing.
It just doesnt reads the sim card ! Any idea? Its been working for few weeks and just stoped. I wonder if thats a hardware issue not software.
