March is coming, where's ICS!!!!!!

So i had the galaxy s 2 i9100 and that phone and the note are both scheduled to get ICS in Q1 of 2012 which means by the end of march. But the galaxy s 2 already has a millions of leaks and plenty of extremely stable roms but we only have a couple and its harder to install then the one on the gs2. Why hasnt samsung leaked the ics build for the note like they did for the s2?

Hi guys, I'm new here recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S Plus and want to use ICS on it.
I saw that so far there is no ICS rom for the Galaxy i9001 and so please join forces and invite you to sign this

Sorry, but this is spam. Search a bit around here and you will find that arco68, the guy who ported CM9 for Galaxy W, is trying to develop some CM9 for our device.
And the 9000 DEVs will not be very helpful as the 9001 uses a completely different chipset, porting from 9000 devices is impossible.
And least to say (although it is sad): such petitions will not change anything. Money does - for buying a beer or two for a good developer - and to buy him a device.

Yes i read about that. but there are other developers on here which I'm sure would help us if we address them

Perhaps open up a thread to organize donations, or a plan to secure device(s) for the developers like arco and maclaw? I am interested in donating too, but we need an organized move first.
We've got to start something, maybe we won't have mass threads about ICS and CM9 that way..

I would ddonate $20 after it's been released, and i think i'm not the only one.
Think the ammount of money that this release would generate if let's say 20% of the rom user would donate a small amount of cash.
Guessit's enough to stimulate a lot of developers to race on the delivery of ICS / CM9

You don't have to wait till it's finished. They are spending hours per day to develop something for us. I don't want to know how many hours Yarde or Skywalker already put into developing.
So if you want to spend them a coffee go ahead and donate if you can afford it.

About roms

Hey guys what about if insertcoin (by bad news)realeses a rom for samsung galaxy note2 ? As we all now hi did a great job in samsung galaxy s3. Plz post your thoughts and if you like this idea hit the thanks button .

I think that every development must be encouraged.
However i think we don't care that much for NoteII releases in this subforum
since this is about the note1

LOve his releases ..he was using the name baadnewz earlier. People at HTC Desire remember his GB releases. his thread gets a bump even after 2 yrs, is it ? very stable.

So my current device now is the wildfire buzz from htc ... I was going to sell it but after installing (cm9) on it I had second thoughts (thanks to xda-developers )
any way that's not my question ... my question is ( I want to get another mobile and I want it to be one of a kind so I was thinking to get the new iPhone 5 and I was very convinced .. until I saw that magnificent device the Xperia Z and now I'm puzzled .. what should I do ... go with this magnificent android device or try the IOS device that have a lot of people using it right now and saying that it will last for a long time with no problems)
So the bottom line is ... what's your professional opinion about this problem???

Well the Xperia Z and The iPhone 5 are very different in many ways but the biggest is clearly the OS... Android vs iOS. Well in my opinion Android is the better one but that is my opinion... Everyone has its own taste in smartphones so go to the next shop and test some of the newest android devices and then the iPhone 5, watch some comparison videos, read some articles about it, etc.
On the hardware side there are some big differences aswell:
Snapdragon S4 Pro Quad-Core chip for the Xperia Z and Apples A6 Dual-Core Chip for the iPhone
1Gb Ram iPhone vs 2Gb Xperia Z
4" Retina Display with 326ppi on the iPhone vs 5" Full HD 420ppi Xperia Z
Both are pretty awesome devices... So either way you go, you can't go wrong

In my opinion, iPhone was the best in like 2 years ago. After I do root, ul boot loader, install ROMs and port ROMs etc... I will never leave my android... it is up to you whether to choose what but I suggest Xperia Z.

Any chance for unofficial cyanogenmod port for Samsung Galaxy Express GT-I8730

I dont know where else to post this since there is NO forum for this phone yet.
Is there a unofficial port of cyanogenmod because I rly don't think a official version will be released any time soon

You will get help on getting cynanogen mod on your phone by messaging developers. Most of the time they will help you.
