Best Place for Stock firmware - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Been looking around the forum, and can't seem to find any links to official untouched (I don't want to trip Knox) firmwares.
I know of SamMobile, but DL speeds are ridiculously slow there for me. I found a RG link, and I'm a Premium member, but I'm also only getting 100KB/s from them today (looks like I'm cancelling that subscription).
Does anyone know of any mirrors for offical I9505 4.4.2 (ie. XXUFNC9 or similar) with decent down speeds?

Try
www.samsung-updates.com
And if dont know how to use the website just type the website on google you will see the firmware section

Here there are official rom for I9505.
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9505

for each is clear that both sites are firmwares for Samsung
SamMobile and Samsung Updates, but to me personally when I had to download some firmwares use a Russian forum (and other places) where you can always find firmwares with mirror links
Sorry for my bad English

sammobile.com have the full range of firmwares, and is NOT directing downloads via "funny" servers requiring premium payments or offering free downloads within 10 hours...
It requires registration, but then you have access to ROMs hosted by them directly.

what browser are you using? IE with full set of toolbars, addons, adds and commercials? Then, of course, yes, it can be slow...

No. Firefox/Chrome and Internet Download Manager for downloads.
So how about you read my post rather than just assuming.
The issue with sammobile is that it's slow unless you pay for premium

[Q] Can i change my build # to get ota update?.

Can i change my build or the file that tells the server where my pone is from? i have an I9500 and i know sammy has been rolling XXUBMEA for some time now, i think my phone is from south america although im not very sure, i know the ota update is rolling for indian roms right now and some others, is there a way to tell the server that my phone is from india so i can get the ota update withouth having to wipe my rom and download a full rom from hotfile at 50Kb/s? that will take forever, besides my connection is not good and hotfile doesn't allow resuming.
Thanks!

[Q] Can someone please provide an International SM-G900F Stock Rom

Hey there,
I am looking for Samsung's original stock rom for the SM-G900F (Snapdragon). I am currently running Xtresolite 1.3.1 and I want to go back to stock without root because I'm trading my phone. I've googled a lot but every single link I find either has links for various countries and networks and I'm just not sure which one to download. In addition to that, every link I think was good takes ages to download..(terafile and sammobile). I am currently downloading this one though I am not sure it is the right one http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=32639.
So if someone can provide a link I would really appeciate it. SORRY FOR BEING A NOOB!
go to sammobile.com and search the model of your galaxy s5 which is (SM-G900F) and download the firmware you want the latest one is has the end (NG2) and in the firmware download page there will be instructions for (how to install the firmware via odin)
hope that I helped

Thanks for the quick reply! So after searching for that model, I got a list of firmwares all with countries behind their names. I live in the Netherlands and the phone was bought here, but The Netherlands isn't in the list. Is there something tham I'm missing? I'm searching from this page: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/

No problem mate! I checked that thread and while they are old ones in the first thread (I think so atleast) I can still download and flash the one for the Netherlands (T-Mobile http://oceanhost.eu/sis429k1avpu/Netherlands_20T-Mobile_20G900FXXU1ANE2_G900FTNL1AND1_TNL.zip.htm) and update OTA afterwards, right?

Sammobile Firmware Alternative 1+MB speeds

Hi guys, I know how excruciatingly slow Sammobile's stock firmware collection is, so slow that I simply don't even consider it as usable. Here is another website that hosts these firmwares, exactly the same as sammobile but a heck of a lot faster, http://galaxys6root.highonandroid.com/galaxy-s6-stock-firmware/ Enjoy! Though the latest update may not be there first.

Any chance of updating the repository with the latest G920FXXU1AODI please?
I do not own nor run that website, sorry. I hope the website will be updated to accommodate newer firmwares.

Was this a safe thing to do?

Can someone put malicious stuff in phone firmware?
I ask because I reset my phone back to stock firmware with
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...update-8-2017-firmware-s7-edge-g935v-t3664293
and I just wanna make sure that its okay or know if I should use something else.
Thanks!
Ofc its very possible to put anything in firmwares. It's the price you pay when you download stuff from the internet xd
But you shouldn't be too paranoid about it. If you really are, download the official firmware from sammobile and flash that again (if you have a premium account which you probably don't) OR use this: http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model
Downloads straight from samsung servers so its all safe and sound

Oh. For me, this website downloaded like 20 times faster than the download from sammobile. Maybe try sammobile too (though they do say 15kb/s max....)
To answer your question about the 3rd party thing, sammobile is also 3rd party website so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Whats wrong with having your phone manually check for updates?
are these legit? It asks to pay for the service to download.

Don't ever pay for firmwares
It seems if att is realising it as we speak.
Your device should see the update soon... I have checked several sites and yesterday and today seems to be pushing out to their customers. I would keep checking your OTA in system updates

Pay for sites are not allowed on xda. I would never pay for a firmware. Specially for a samsung
Then dont.
This site is used all the time and im not telling you to pay for it. Nor am i selling it to you personally. Someone will buy it then repack and upload it somewhere and share it for free.
But until someone does thats your solution. A question was asked and i answered it.
And maybe OP asked for odin files for a reason. Such as not being US based.

I would if it where me flash another carriers pie and then flash you carriers CSC file. The update should be out to flash with odin more than likely in the next few days. Since they are releasing it now. I would just wait until its out on the free firmware sites and get it from there

Kinda. Yea there is a guide to change carriers. But most s8s auto select csc based on the sim inserted i flash the multi rom and mine auto selects then but the csc file is what determines carrier the actual firmware is the same for all the snapdragon US devices..
But yea you got the jist of it down.

Nope, not working. Odin shows FAIL..!!
Suggest me if I have any other way to update
You could buy the fw... i had to pay for the s8 actives last fw, then i shared it with a mega link, until someone buys it and shares it the only option is to buy it yourself. As you seem to be aware att is a bastard when it comes to releasing full odin fw.

Idk where they come from, they are leaked somehow, theres anorher persian website that gdts them from time to time. Im not saying you need to buy them, nor am i affialated with or receive any compensation from that site.
Im simply saying where to get the files right now if you want them.
