Does anyone know how? I can't seem to find any settings to prevent the phone from turning the screen on every time I get a notification.

Need more info. When is the voice happening?

I believe he's referring to the splash screen that shows the Verizon logo and plays a tone when you turn the phone on.
Will need root for that. Can then remove the boot sound.

Click to collapse
This. And every time I make a call.
The screen on my wife's S4 from ATT stays on while charging.
If you press the power button, it'll go away for a while but then turns on again.
Disabling 'stay awake' in developer's options does not seem to help.
Is there any other way to keep the screen off?
Is there a danger of burning the screen?
The phone is not rooted.
Restore default settings may help.

I have a problem with my unrooted Marshamallow X Force in that when I am in a call on the speakerphone/hands free the screen will go to sleep after a moment and I cannot wake it up other than by pressing the power button (No sensor detection or screen swipe). Is there any way to either disable the sleep mode during hands free calls or a way to get the screen to come back on without having to press the power button?
EDIT: OK I've found the attentive display thing but if I am looking slightly away like looking at my computer display it loses my face and sometimes I wander around during a call. I will see how it goes.
EDIT:2 Bah! It's not helping. Anyone got any ideas?

There is no way to change this behavior that I know of. I also find it annoying.

On another hand, behavior is logical. To save battery, screen goes off. The same is with normal calls. Only problem is that attentive display/proximity sensor is not turning it on.
Try to suggest Moto on official forum or under Moto app on market to implement that.
I often turn sync on/off several times a day and each there will be a huge pop-up message explaining what sync is. First I can understand this, but dont want to see this each and everytime. Any way to turn it off?
