[Q] PIT File for SM-G900I - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I need to flash a .pit file in ODIN as I can't flash a standard PDA file due to NAND error.
Where do I find a .pit file for a SM-G900I? I can't seem to work it out.
Any help would be great

Bricked my sgs4?

Hi, Tried to install root through odin for the first time but the install didn't complete.
Now my sgs won't boot anymore.
It gives, the firmware upgrade error.
I can boot into download mode.
When i try to flash the original firmware for the i9505 it gives an error (something about a pit file missing)...
What can i do to get my sgs4 working again?

seems partitions are corrupt so try getting the 16GB pit file and set it in odin with the repartition option enabled..... and try flashing the new firmware
Under normal circumstances, DO NOT tick "re-partition" during Odin flash of firmware.
Only tick "re-partition" if you have the PIT file as described in previous post
Ensure any firmware (double check !) is that for your specific model.

There's a .pit file in the DOWNLOADER folder at this link: moulnisky DOT com/index.php?dir=Samsung/Firmwares/GT-I9505/
I haven't tested it so don't know if it works, but there you go.
P.S. I had the same issue and restored my phone using Kies firmware recovery mode: samsung DOT com/us/support/SupportOwnersFAQPopup.do?faq_id=FAQ00048586&fm_seq=52928

I'm reading the I need to use a pit file to repartition the phone but my question is, could I use my phone to create the pit file? I successfully flashed it yesterday on mine. PIT File Needed for SM-G900F EVR (EE) Firmware

Hi all,
I'm trying to flash from BTU firmware to EE (EVR) firmware. I need the corresponding PIT file.
Can anyone link me to this? I've had a look around and I can't find it.
Thanks!
You just need the G900F PIT file, nothing to do with the carrier
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2737448
Tried this, didn't work. Same issue.
I used the G900F PIT, which is the model of my S5. I do think the EE (EVR) version must have a different ext4 size, however I can't find a PIT file for this anywhere.
Odin fails on
<ID:0/006> hidden.img.ext4
<ID:0/006> FAIL! (Ext4)
Is there any solution to this yet? Still can't find the correct EE (Everything Everywhere) PIT File,
Any help is appreciated,
XPGTomo.

You don't need a pit file. It's the hidden.img bug.
You must extract the hidden.img file of your firmware rename it to hidden.img.tar and then flash the hidden.img.tar file. I don't know why but sometimes the hidden.img file can only be flashed when it's alone

I have the Firmware under AP

You can't find it because it doesn't exist, as I have already told you, PIT file is model specific, not carrier
If you knew what a PIT file did, you'd understand that

The hidden.img.tar file also comes under AP. After you flashed it it takes some minutes to boot so don't be shocked
I have a solution
I have found and put together a solution to the problem,
If anyone else is having this issue then click the link and install with Odin3.

Short version:
Pit file stock if you need it, later:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/tpygdi1lczo1ggz/stock_pit_fileSM-N910F.zip
new pit file to overcome the flash error in Odin, when the hidden.img is too large (fail in odin):
http://www.mediafire.com/download/ec2uhrl2vmxu690/modded_pit+file_forSM-N910F.zip
please, avoid all idiots processes to flash firmware withour the error of hidden.img, like this one:

Long answer:
extract the pit file of your phone, with this tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...ol-updated-09-06-14-efs-professional-t1308546
edit and save your pit file in order to have more space in any partition, with this tool:
