[Q]center clock status bar LGSystemUI - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
I have a problem with the modification LGSystemUI, namely I wanted to add a center clock.
I've done all kinds of combinations known to me in statusbar.xml unfortunately unsuccessfully.
I know you can do it using Xposed, but I would prefer to avoid.
Please hints
Yours.
Sorry for my poor English: p

Same question for me, I've it with Xposed module but I prefer to have it cleanly in the framework...
Thx to help us

Hi S3V3N, I think in your G3 ROM you solved the issue. Can you give us a hint?

Imported photo back noted can't be modified

Hi everyone !
I have imported my photos back noted from my GNote 1 and got some issues. First, the arrow in the top right corner doesn't appear, so it's impossible to identify at first look if it's a regular picture or a noted one.
Secondly, I can't erase the note and if I make a modification (adding something) and try to save it, the gallery crashes.
Does anyone of you have the same issue and maybe a solution ?

[Q] Getting started with F2FS?

I'd like to give F2FS a try on my N10 but I'm not sure where to start. I know I need both a ROM and kernel that's compatible with F2FS but not much beyond that, so if anyone can help point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks!
Hello. Only the kernel needs f2fs drivers. So you can use any ROM you want. My kernel includes latest f2fs sources. You may use it. Now by answering to you I think it'might be a nice idea to offer stock kernel with f2fs...

Locking apps content

Hello all,
I am new on ZTE, I received my phone yesterday. I come from an old Xiaomi Mi2 and I am quite frustrated with the Rom. Note that I have the international version.
What I would like to do :
Protect some specific app with a password.
I would like that the content of some apps is not accessible without a specific unlock.
I found an app called "Applock" but it doesn't work each time, and even when it works one still can see the content of the app when we click on the recent app button. In Miui I could set it more private so that no one had access.
What would you recommend me?
Best regards,
Chinesur

Update Android 7.1.2 to 8.0 when root

Hi,
I want to update my Mi A1 on Android 7.1.2 to Android 8.0 but I'm root with Magisk and I didn't flash TWRP. Usually, on my OP5 I just download the full zip and flash with twrp, but here, is the same method or not ?
Thanks

Hi,
I had the december version of android 7 (i think it was 7.1.2) and was also rooted with magisk, of couse without twrp installed.
What i did was to remove all modules from magisk and activate 'magisk hide' and 'magisk core only mode' (in settings). I don't know if it makes any difference but I had 'preserve force encryption' and 'preserve AVB 2.0/dm-verity' checked (in the main screen). After this rebooted, checked safetyNet (was all ok) and followed the instructions from here: https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/blob/master/docs/tips.md#ota-installation-tips (devices with a/b partitions).
I have to say I had no problems with the update. After this I installed some magisk modules and everything is ok.
However I was a little afraid to proceed as I read lots of posts from people with bootloops (probably from uncompatible magisk modules) and so on. I decided to take the risk as I'm not nearly an expert on this.
Resuming, IT'S UP TO YOU TO TAKE THAT RISK..... or you can wait for some other opinions.
regards and good luck
I'll try soon, when the OTA update was ready for me, Thanks a lot

Navigation bar height in EMUI 8.0.0

Hello folks!
Since the roll out of Oreo with EMUI 8.0.0 for our devices I've noticed an unpleasing change in the UI regarding the navigation bar height, which became a little bit higher than it was on Nougat with EMUI 5.1 (As you can see in the picture below).
So the question is if there's a way to rearrange the height of the nav bar to return as low as it was in Nougat? A command or something without messing around too much and without root?

As far as I know there aren't any good ways to change navbar height on emui without root.
Though there are some apps that can change it, none of them work in Emui.
The only way I can think of is either hide the navbar entirely and use something like this to crate a new one or Emui theme editor has some navigation bar options but I doubt that it lets you change the size of it and I can't test it right now because I'm using Resurrection Remix.
Or of course you can root your device and install Xposed Framework and then install Gravitybox or something like that which has tons of options for navbar (I think:silly or you can install a custom Rom that lets you change it. At least Resurrection Remix as an option to change navigation bar height.
Maybe someone has a better answer but this is what I have got for now.
Edit: Alos Xposed is compatable with Emui 8 you just have to use the right version.
