I found this post with instructions that worked for me. My OTA wasn't applied, but my phone wasn't bricked anymore.

Hi All,
im running an nexus one (unlocked bootloader) with a custom recovery (amon ra). Recently i got the message that there is an OTA update available.
Even though i knew that custom recoveries don't support OTA i accepted to try out what happens.
The nexus one rebooted but there was no update installed (N1 stayed at FRG83).
After that, i downloaded the update manually and put it on my sd card as update.zip.
When i went to recovery i was surprised that the amon ra recovery was gone, i could only get into the stock recovery. via stock recovery i installed the FRG83D update which worked fine.
So did my first try to install the OTA wipe the custom recovery and revert it back to stock? Does this mean that i can directly install future OTA updates since i have stock recovery now?
Yes and yes.
There is no problem flashing OTAs through custom recovery if you turn off signature verification.

oh ok i didn't know that.
i don't really need a custom recovery, just wanted to get rid of the vodafone firmware. so if i got you right, i now should have stock recovery and FRG83D (US), then i'm perfectly happy.

Boostrap recovery is old. You need to flash the sbf and install 2ndinit recovery instead. Go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1559109
I have a question, I am using LG G2 D802, rooted, using CWM v6.0.4.4. My sister also uses LG G2 D802, she updated her G2 in Kitkat. So I want to get the update also, I opened the Update Center and tried to update, but I can't see the update for kitkat. Only "V10f-DEC-23-2013" appeared on my update list, so I update my G2, and restarted the phone, and stuck on CWM. Resolved this problem by following instructions on the threads here (Thanks to you guys!), but my question is, how can I update to kitkat when I can't get passed updating to V10f-DEC-23-2013 that stucks my phone to CWM boot loop (Tried downloading many times but stucks me up at CWM bootloop)? Anyone out there experienced this kind of problem? Can you guys please suggest me what to do?
you should update on clean stock rom without root and the custom recovery.

What steps should I do?
Hi all,
I have an LG D802, was running standard ROM just rooted and with PhilZ recovery. Well I was silly and tried an OTA update, and got stuck at recovery...unfortunately I panicked, cleared everything and tried to flash another ROM but I'm still stuck at recovery.
I tried the instructions in the thread about being stuck after an OTA update but as I;ve formatted the sd partition it didn't work.
I want to go back to stock, I just have no idea how....I have ADB access though if that helps! I'm not really experienced in this kind of thing so please dumb it down for me!
Any help much appreciated!

can you get into download mode either try the adb reboot download mode or turn phone entirely off and hold volume up(only volume up) and plug it into the pc usb, if you can use the back to stock guide to get your phone working again

Yes trued flashing a custom ROM, however in my haste to try and stop the OTA forcing me to recovery I may have formatted some partitions I shouldnt have.
Can I restore everything by downloading the kdz with all the correct IMG files in, converting to a flash able zip (saw a guide on here) and trying that?

Yes that is possible to do I should know because we have something like that for d800
Sent from LG-G2 D800 on AEONFLEX 4.4.2
Verizon LG G2
Rooted
Installed TWRP
Without thinking (doink) tried to install the latest OTA.
OTA failed.
Now I cannot reboot into TWRP.
Installed ClockwordMOD and installed its own custom recovery. Still won't boot into any custom recovery.
Phone works fine other than that.
How can I get back into custom reccovery?
Note: When I turn phone off and try to reboot into custom recovery it takes me to the "reset" screen.. and then IT RESETS the phone.
When I try to boot into recovery from Clockwork or TWRP app it gives me the android robot with the open tummy and red triangle.

The OTA update installed the KitKat bootloader, which hasn't been hacked for custom recovery yet.
Use this to downgrade the only the bootloader and install custom recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715496
You have to root frist. You can use IORoot25 to root the KitKat rom that you have now: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48709232

Ok.
The KITKAT rom didn't install properly..
Phone says 4.2.2
Super user and apps that need root to work are working properly. Looks like the bootloader is the only thing that got hit.

Oh. Not sure if AutoRec works if you are still on 4.2.2. Sorry bout that.
If it doesn't work, you can always just manually flash the complete firmware using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476. Surest way to get back from failed flashes. You can flash the full 4.2.2 or 4.4.2 KDZ and then start over again. That method wipes everything though.

HELP
I am screwed here.
#1. Tried the "unbrick stock" solution. Can NOT get it to work. I tried it all 3 ways given and it gets to the LG driver start... and then it says I am up to date. I tried to change the country, the language, upgrade recovery, can NOT get it to work.
#2. I can get TWRP to load. But I can't get my computer to recognize my phone so I can move a rom over
#3. I can't get ADB to recognize my phone.
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP

save yourself the hassle flash stock 4.4.2 KK, use IORoot25 to root and then use Autorec to install Custom recovery.
Time needed 1 hour.
