Hey guys, what's the exact path to the external SD card? I'm using Rdio, and I'd like to store the synced music files at the MicroSD card.

it will move the app but not allow you to save the play list or anything unless you do that fix

Yea, I just read http://mobilesyrup.com/2014/03/17/w...4-update-for-the-galaxy-s4-and-galaxy-note-3/
It appears that Rdio is the one that's gotta do all the fixing, to make sure it's compatible with 4.4.
It's down to the app makers to update to let you save stuff to sd since kitkat update.

No it doesnt, it has 8GB internal memory on the device, but you need to buy one. I just got a new NC yesterday and im waiting for my 8GB sd card in the mail so i can start hacking it.
cool thanks
but i suppose later, we can put in the internal memory, any files/books that we want right?

In fact, the CM7 on SD uses the internal memory for ephemeral user data (dalvik cache, etc), so there's more SD available.
Just got the M, and I'm trying to figure out some concerns (mostly surrounding storage issues):
- curious to see if there is a way to transfer apps from the phone's storage to the memory card
- how do I get Google Play Music to downloand my music to my sdcard?
- how do I get the gallery app to sync with my photos on picasa?
- I noticed there are quite a few of the "usbdisk_1.x" on my /storage folder - what are those, and can I delete them?
I do have root with safestrap, but no custom ROM yet.
any help would be most appreciated, thanks!
Directory Bind is an app that will move app data to the SD card. It works well for me, it was a pain to set up though.

the only way I know of how to do this is to use directory bind. And for that you will need root.

Did you look at the first result from that search? It told you how to do it unless they didn't work? I've never tried it but it seemed relatively universal.

I am not rooted and therefor have never used directory bind, but here is a tutorial on what to do:

Good luck!
If you have root explorer you can link a folder name it "files" on your SD card and link it to location data/data/com.Google.android.music there should already be a "files" folder there. Once linked any file downloaded by play music will go to the linked folder on the SD card.

Hello everyone!
I got the Samsung galaxy S4 i9500 international version.
I put a 32gb micro sd card of SanDisk and it works fine.
The only problem is that I want to install apps on the sd card and I can't because I dont have the "move to sd card" option.
I saw some videos that show how the "move to sd card" is available without any root to the device...
Thanks a lot for helping!

You do realize that the "move to sd" option doesn't really Dave you any appreciable space, right? It will only relocate the apk and will leave the app or game's data intact in its original location.

You can try using Folder Mount or one of the similar third party apps to move the data to your external sd card and create symlinks from the original location to the new one.

Hi could anyone tell me how to save Apps to an SD card in my Z2?
You cant... its because Google decided to restrict it in 4.4

You can't, read about the restrictions of KitKat. and if you have root you can use an app to do that.
Seriously? Can't believe I just found out... what is the point of this restriction? is andriod trying to copy Apple with their restricted iphone storage?

I don't think Google likes SD cards, and they try to promote their Google Drive. None of the Nexuses have SD card slots.

What about applications though, you can exactly move them to cloud to free up space. The Z2 only has 16gb and with apps getting bigger and bigger that's really going to be a big limitation.

So your apps use 12GB storage? That is how much free space you have. For backup apps you can just move the backup folder to SD card. You can have Nandroid backup on SD card aswell.
Also music and films go to SD card. There are exploits for Spotify to move the folder to the SD card.

You should be able to save photos/videos to SD card still (there's an option in the camera app).
There is an option to transfer data like videos, photo's & music in "storage" , which I know does not solve the problem but is good news for Z2 developers because this shows that it's possble to do it & create roms with that purpose in mind...
There's no problem on galaxy devices coz their native folder manager "My files" bypasses this restriction.
I hope Sony creates their own native manager to fix that!

Try a Xposed module named XInternalSD
Try foldermount. On my Z2 it works but I have the premium version. I am not sure if it also works with the free version.

Free version should work also, I believe difference is in number of pairs allowed.
Thanks for the reply guys! I tried folder mount and it indeed worked for me. But i have another concern, i dont know if its just my phone or others are also having this issue. Do you have problem installing some apps? It says No space available but i still have 9gb available in my internal card. Hope u can suggest what i can do to install any app i want. Thank you!

Let's go out on a limb here but have you tried folder mount?
Still can't do it with new update?
So let me get this straight, even with the new update(4.4.4), you still can't move apps to sdcard on the Z2???
I'm unrooted/stock, just got the device, but I'm shocked to know this, I should've looked more into it before making the purchase. I have link2sd, and I noticed it just takes me to the app in app info(which I could do by myself through settings), and I still don't have an option to move apps to sd card.
Am I missing something? I have to root to move apps to sdcard with the z2 on the latest stock rom and firmware??
I didn't want to start a new thread and saw this one, among others.
I'm trying to move anomaly 2 to my sd card, but it doesn't work. When I go to the application manager I have the option to move it to my sd card, but when I try it takes forever and then at the end it says unable to move app. I have moved many apps this way, but this one wont move. The only difference I can think of is the size of the app, anomaly 2 is 1.8gb which is the biggest game I have. I am using kitkat 4.4.2, and I am also rooted (this problem happened before I rooted though.)

if that was because of android system can use something like mount stick to mount sd-card with internal
