When i try to increase the ringtone ...its move together with notification volume how can i change only the volume of the ring tone without notification???

You should be able to go into Settings - Sound - Volume to adjust individual volume levels for ringtones, media, notifications, etc.

link to volume setting

since the volume slider when activated works on the device volume, not the ringer volume, I'd love to have icons in claunch that set the volume to some specific volume i.e. 20%. Is that possible?
If you have time, you can check and see if that's possible to do it in Mort script http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=289197&

Volume COntrols /??

Is there any app that can control the volume of messages tones, ringtones and then media players etc all seperatly like on a normal phone ??
On my old sony i could mute the message tone but keep my ringtone, alarm and media players volumes all up i cant see a way of doing it with the diamond
Any help would be great thanks

how do you turn on vibration for sms?

and how do you lower the volume for alarm?
settings - sound and display - notification souds - new message (click new message, not the slider box) - move the slider on vibrate to OFF - done.
The alarm will sound at whatever volume level the device is currently set to.
Want it lower - lower the volume before going to bed.
thanks alot! i didn't know i can click on the new message =)
thats where you pick the sound you want it to make.
does it for all of them under notification sounds.

No sounds with audible selection on

As the title says, i cannot hear clicks when selecting anything anywhere nor can I hear key clicks on any keyboard. All volume settings are at max. Other sounds like notifications and MP3 work fine.
I have this same issue. Everything else works fine but I can barely..... hear selections with all volumes maxed out.
I had this problem on my HTC EVO 4G.
Download AudioManager from the Market. (It's free)
It's by developer Smart Android Apps, LLC.
Raise the "System Volume" and see if it works.
That worked. Why can I not adjust the system volume outside this app?
It's dumb, I know. My EVO would not let me do it either until I downloaded the app.
Yeah that is a bit dumb.... Thanks a bunch.
Ok so in Settings under Sound then volume the three levels only do the following:
The First volume bar represented with a speaker icon adjusts only the Music Level(Instruction books says that this volume bar should adjust the system Volume level.)
The Second volume bar represented with a Bubble with Exclamation in it adjusts both the Alerts and Ringer Volume.
The Third Volume bar represented by an alarm clock or course only adjusts the alarm volume.
Also, The volume rocker only adjusts the music level only not the system volume level.
Looks like there is a firmware boo boo. Sammy needs to push a fix. What I don't doubt is that they're aware issue and probably will not fix it until touchwiz is pushed.
Only way right now to adjust the system volume on the tab 10.1 is with a third party app.

[Q] Notification sound

I am working and wish to lower my Galaxy Note's overall notification sound including incoming calls, sms, whatsapp, etc... I pressed the volume button on the side to like 2/7 of the bar. The incoming calls sound seems lowered but not the sms/msg sounds. What settings should I change in order to have the whole device's sounds controlling all at once?
menu > settings > sound > volume > notification
edit:
Sorry, I didn't completely read your post.
There's an app called audiomanager and it allows you to link your ringer volume with your notification volume.
thanks for your answer.
I mean there is no way to control the in-coming call + notification sound in 1 button? I pressed the volume up and down key on the phone only can control the in-coming ringtone I thought most phone can do that but not this Note. am I right?
So confirmed there is no way the side up and down volume button can control both ringtones and notifications sounds at once?
