Any news of these features will come to the note 2?
Who cares, Galaxy S4 sucks. I'm waiting for Galaxy Note 4.
Galaxy Note 3 will be same as Galaxy S4.
Does anybody tried the new galaxy gear on the Note 10.1?
How cool will that be, I am now using a Samsung Bluetooth Stick its good but the usage is too limited, i cannot see who is calling or i need to take out the note when making a call. But with the Gear not only that you can dial using it, you can even receive messages. Planning to buy gear but its only supported on Note 3. Anyone tried to install the gear manager on the Note 10.1
The Gear currently only works on the Note 3 or the Note 10.1 (2014) not with the 2012 version.
Earlier this month, a leak bought an unofficial list of devices that would be getting updated to Android 4.4 KitKat, at least in the U.S.. Today, Samsung USA has decided to make things official and has announced which of its phones and tablets will be getting the KitKat update, with many of the devices that were named in the leak actually included in the official list, including low-end devices like the Galaxy Tab 3 and the Galaxy S III mini (the upgraded model with LTE launched last year on AT&T and Verizon, not the international variant that came out in 2012.)
If you’re rocking a Galaxy Note 3 or Galaxy S4, expect to see a notification for the update today itself, especially if you’re on Sprint or US Cellular, as Samsung mentions that it will start rolling out starting today, confirming earlier leaks that suggested the update would be making its way to devices on the two networks.
Here’s the full list of devices that will be getting KitKat:
• Galaxy Note 3
• Galaxy Note II
• Galaxy S4
• Galaxy S4 mini
• Galaxy S4 Active
• Galaxy S4 zoom
• Galaxy S III
• Galaxy S III mini
• Galaxy Mega
• Galaxy Light
• Galaxy Note 8.0
• Galaxy Tab 3
• Galaxy Note 10.1
• Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition
That’s a pretty big list, which should make users of the aforementioned devices quite happy, though if you’re using a non-flagship device, we would recommend patience as Samsung will likely take its time pushing out the newer version of Android. The presence of the Galaxy Note 10.1 on the list is especially good to see, as users of the device have been pretty vocal of the poor support Samsung has extended to the original Galaxy Note tablet, with the device on Android 4.1.2 for more than a year.
Here’s the press release:
Samsung Confirms KitKat for U.S. Smartphones and Tablets

Hello everyone.
This query might sound creepy but does the Galaxy Note 8.0 go well with the Galaxy S5? 'Cause after understanding Samsung's pattern of manufacture, the Note 8 is the conjugate Tab of the Galaxy S4, right? Similarly the Tab S is the conjugate Tab of the Galaxy S5. So does it make sense to have a Note 8.0 and a Galaxy S5?
Thank you.

That is what I am using right now and it works OK as a combination. I also have a Note Pro 12.1 but it is off getting repaired under warranty right now. I got the note 8 for free when my wife upgraded her phone to the S4. When I got my S5 and note Pro I kept the 8 around and still use it when I am out and about. I like the size and functionality of the 8" tablet when traveling.

I haven't heard anything yet about when Lollipop will be coming to the Google Play Edition Galaxy S4. Does anyone have any info on this?
Thanks, Alan
