LG L3 [e400] Disscussion and help thread
I open a q&a and discussion thread for the lg l3 e400.
We can talk about everything that's related to this device, but do not make flames and spams or I'll pm moderators.

I just wonder. What is currently the best Rom for LG l3 e400 or the most stable Rom?

There's no fully stable rom. ICS roms have lags due to base kernel, and they use a lot of ram. GB ROMs have some bugs like auto-reboots and sometimes connection drop. Let's see the next of the next

i think cyanoid has less bugs compared to the official cm9 and mini cm9 is kind of okay in performance ..... but we presently as linuxxx said have no stable roms ......excpt gb modded by gellmar(it kinda better in working than the original stock)

Nope it's useless and it will make rom lags like hell. Flash it only if the Dev. ask for its flash

i think E435 (dual sim) has jelly bean and it's source and packed rom is available.
i am starting a project to port it over E405.
anyone interested can join.
that would be great if true , unfortunately i am a noob and don't have experience with any of this, but please keep us (me) posted with any progress, maybe even create a thread in the development forum.
I don't think there's an ICS ROM for E405, but it should be easy to make one, since basically it is E400 with 2 chips
ics installing it on my E400 for daily use
getting there

Hi! I'm using the Cyanogenmod 9 last build for L3, with SDMerge and Overlock 1GHz.
The L3 goes smooth since i understand how to kill those apps which are "eating" Ram in the background. I'm really happy. Greenify is very hellpfull, so i did not need to flash with dangerous -sometimes they are- apps or zips to handle the L3 little RAM.
I read a lot about Kit Kat and L3 and i think this mobile can't handle Kit Kat. I think if you want Kit Kat, you need to buy a new mobile. We can expand the hidden resources of the original LG ROM, or maybe transform this cheap mobile into a better.
But, technically, i read here about developers, who know much better than me, that they are working in a KitKat ROM for L3. Well, i don't know if that is possible, because, well, all we have are developers ROMS and a strong community as Cyanogen just finished developing ROMS for L3. All we have are nighty builds with known bugs.
So, if someone out there is an expert or developer, am I right and i should buy a better phone -not now, in a couple of months, i'm more than 2 years with my L3- or is it technically possible and, more importante, are there developers developing a KitKat ROm for L3?
Thank you.

Your forum is very nicely.
Here is latest ports of @desalesouche's roms, original roms here. I store only two or three latest versions per the roms. Remember to say thanks to desalesouche, he have made a great job.
If you need help or you have found a bug or have something interesting to report, then the right thread for that is: 4.4.4-CM11 for huawei honor & Ideos X5 U8800 Pro & others KitKat flavours. Remember to say you are using u8800pro phone to get proper support.
You should also follow that thread to keep yourself up-to-date.
See #2 post for information and etc.
See #3 post for some not so popular roms or something..

- Test notes for MokeeOS
More information coming on..
Why you are not porting the Lollipop ROMs from u8860 ?!?!
Because they do not work. Why? Because ROM is made in a way that do not support u8800pro.
Sound quality in CM/MK/BeanStalk/BlueLighting?
Sound quality/volume is same in all roms. Quality is good and in call volume is okay.
Do you test these roms?
I test the Cyanogenmod and MokeeOS builds and I'm trying to test them immediately after desalesouche uploads them. Currently I'm not planning to test other roms.
Do you test the rom with dalvik or art?
So far I have been tested the roms with dalvik only.
Which rom is the best?
There is no answer for that. Personally I prefer CM roms and sometimes MK. Test different roms and use that what do you think is the "best" one and suitable for you needs.
Multi-tasking?
Difference's. The more you have apps installed the more laggier your phone gets.. You need to test which rom suits your needs the best.
Bluetooth? Does it work?
Should be ok, send a message if not. When you enable bluetooth, device name is "Huawei Honor" instead of Pro. I can't affect that device name when I do these ports.

I do not remember there were any minor bugs. But 44.3 is stabler, 44.4 is sometimes slower and not so good in daily use compared to 44.3. That is my opinion.

Since i go very huge-memory-eater apps i spent the internal memory right away.

I've tried all versions of des's roms. Even though I appreciate his work and devotion, those roms are NOT stable enough for daily use on pro.
Personally speaking, the best rom for pro right now is CM11 by CrysisLTU. I know it can be cool to have some of the neat features of des's roms, but they simply aren't optimized for our device (even though honor and pro are almost identical).
So, my advice is go for CM11 by CrysisLTU if you plan on doing some multitasking (eg Music & Browsing).

I disagree, I have used CM11 build 20140621 for a month now as a daily driver. It's stable, it's not laggy or sluggish and everything works. But some of the builds is not stable and the performance is poor so they cannot be used as daily driver, like CM11 build 20140701 seemed to be sluggish when I tested it. I have not tested some heavy multitasking or playing high-end games (if you do not count 2048 ) with these roms.
I should test CrysisLTU rom some time..
Thank you very much!

AospExtended is more customized than Tesla, not as RR but more stable.
there is no "best" ROM, each one have his best one depending his own criteria
however my best one is curently validus + kernel Optimus
my criteria:
- good battery / smooth
- light memory usage
- usefull features/tweaks (all I need, and not too much)
- bug free
- the dev team seems serious (gz)
- no problem to root with phh
- no data toggle bug (not least !)
- Optimus : I like the new governor, no need anymore governor script

Optimus 19 + RR a little bit slow, and connections problems, but a lot of battery time, better than stock, and very customizable
Those who are uncertain about all the custom ROMs, I'll suggest you guys to use VANIR ROMs. They are very similar to MM and a truly pure experience

Nougat based
Dear developers and friends,
I'm using Redmi 2 Prime 2gb 2014818 varient.
Currently I'm on official Miui 8.2.1.0. Lollipop stable version.
Now I want to upgrade to either Marshmallow or Nogut.
So dear friends, I want to know the most stable, or say it, near to stable ROM of either MM or Nogut.
I'm expecting some mandatory features in any single ROM such as:
VOLTE.
Double tap to wake.
Improved battery life.
Stable telecom network.
Less heating.
Dear friends your suggestions are highly expected.
Try Tesla ROM by Ground Zero, it is nougat 7.1.2 and has all features you need but it no longer is being maintained by @premaca , but it is the best version till now.
It could be found on Main XDA thread for Redmi 2, see the Central ROM link pinned by Mike.

No, volte video call option is not working in both CAF AOSP and Tesla.
Anyway, it's not available in any of the custom ROM out there..

Battery backup is better than any nougat custom rom, around 5-6 hrs in normal usage, performance wise it sucks sometimes as cpu struck at 800, dont know why. has few bug also like reboot when swapping data between sim.
Overall it's quite stable for daily drive if u can bear above mentioned issue.
