Has anyone tried to see if the S4 audio booster mods will work with the S5? This thing is painfully quiet when using the speaker, I can hardly hear alarms go off.
It will work. It's a qualcomm audio processor. Just the part with root is making me thinking...

Anyone feels that speaker is too weak and cant hear people's talking in the phone calling? I have to use handfree when doing calls. Just so annoying!

Please download AnEQ equaliser from market. It enable you to boost +15DB of output to your speaker. Used that. Clear sound but touch bass boost will distort the speaker.

Mine is loud enough. Haven't changed anything.

Thanks for introducing the app to me. I really donno if that's hardware problem or not. Or maybe just the phone is too big and I don't get used to it. I used 3.5" monitor mobile before. And now the phone is bigger, when do phone calls, my holding must have to be different. The speakerpohone always cant reach my ear hole. LOL!
Works beautifully. There is another app called "Volume+" which provides more options for Headsets and Bluetooth too. It too works good but "AnEQ equaliser" is bit louder.
I have tried to make the Adapt Sound work with phone calls on my wired headset and it just doesn't seem to be an option. Anyone know how to make this work??
Curious if it would be possible to get adapt sound to work with Bluetooth headphones?

Didn't check the date on this, but no it won't work on bluetooth and to start the program I had to make a widget. Hope there is an update because they made my wired headphones sound a lot better.
What makes wired headphones and even blue tooth sound the best is Viper4android imo.. It literally turns your headphones into magic :sly::thumbup:
I'm on 4.3 And using this from the Play store

On my Galaxy S4 I9500 I would like to use a DSP. But when I turn on a DSP and change the settings in the DSP I get noticeable static and hissing coming out of my headphones. I'm not sure whether its the headphones, the ROM, the kernel, or just the phone itself. I'm using the Perseus I9500 kernel and the WanamLite custom ROM. The headphones I'm using are the Apple EarPods.
I'm just wondering what the issue may be and what can be done to get rid of the hissing. The hissing is more noticeable at lower volumes fyi.
Thanks
This happens if u use an eq app like equalizer or noozeoxide too..
The sammy sound fx cause no problems @ all..

no problem with dsp here
Yes, it happens. I have a hard time not questioning the hearing on folks who say that they don't hear it. The issue is something noted in the CM thread on the 9505 also, and they have different DAC, so it's not hardware related. Freeze DSP and the problem vanishes.
Hey all
I am running a tw 4.4.2 rom (kingdroid at the moment but had the same problem on others).
Using the stock music app or play music (a haven't tried others) when listening to music on headphones the audio will randomly be sent out of the phone speaker and headphone jack at the same time.
I have no idea why.
All I do know is I intended to use this phone instead of a dedicated audio player but I can't as randomly I scared the hell out of old people on the train.
Is this a known issue?
Any advice would be fantastic as I am so close to going and spending stupid money on a dap that I really just don't have lol.
Thanks in advance.
Scott

Update:
This occurs on all audio.
Eg.
Phone calls will route audio via ear piece and speaker. Music will play vis headphones and speaker.
All audio routes as it is meant too but in addition via the speaker.
The issue is intermittent.
No obvious trigger

I recently picked up a Bt35toy for hands free call and audio streaming in my car. The audio playback is extremely bad compared to my previous audio tape converter. Does anyone have an app that can correct the sound quality for streaming audio via Bluetooth. Currently the volume is significantly lower and it sounds as if the music is being played through a tin can.
Thanks for any ideas

Not sure if it's really a problem of bluetooth streaming quality. Maybe it's a problem of power of the streaming ?
Does the "quality" of the audio playback differs from time to time ? like when you move your phone ? near the receiver ? or when it is fully charged ?
Can you (or have you) tried with another phone ?
Finally, have you tried audio/volume booster apps ? or equalizer (Viper/DSPManager/...) ?
The receiver is mounted almost directly below the phone. I have noticed a difference in distance or charge power. I will try to pay attention to that. I think a volume booster would be helpful. I will see what I can find.

I forgot about this thread. Any other ideas for increasing the Bluetooth gain?
