I am unable to resize ! . I select 1x1 . Then when i resize , there is empty space on the sides of the widget? i also tried so scale using zooper but that to no avail

I had the same problem but if you add the widget as 4x4 instead of 1x1 and then resize it stays sharp (for me anyway).

Nexus 5 is not available so how it can has a homescreen
Thread closed for now.
Device released, thread opened.
Not done a lot yet, just nova launcher as I hate the size of the icons with KitKat launcher. You lose all that lovely new menu and Google now access though.

Looking for a N5 owner unlocked custom recovery ...rooted is fine but not needed to test some Zip themer mods from my other Nexus threads for compatible files. I will not have mine til after Nov 8 (that's when sprint gets device) and trying to get ahead of curve... If ur familiar with Zip themer app and want to test some zips for lockring change and soft key change PM me or respond on this thread...thanks sorry for the OT post...

Nexus 5 stockish look
The kitkat easter egg is actually just a logo, so I took it and did a quick and dirty cut and paste to create these. Kept them in PNG format, so no image quality is lost in the process.
Don't know if anyone will fancy the black version, but it may work for AMOLED screens. For other colors just use the Gallery's editor to change the hue.
Note: They look best if you use Google Launcher to set the wallpaper in portrait mode. Also Nova Launcher have the ability to set wallpapers in portrait mode.
The 'square' version is for pre-KitKat devices, which tends to crop the image as a square.
As Google now is a part of the home screen does this count

I personally have been waiting for Nova to be updated for KitKat...mostly for the transparent navbar/status bar. And the beta started today!
Heres the list of changes from the AndroidPolice post.
Kitkat scroll indicator (Settings > Desktop > Scroll Indicator)
Kitkat folders (Settings > Folders > Light Background and Folder Background > Light Circle)
Kitkat font (Settings > Look and Feel > Icon Font > Condensed, requires Android 4.1+)
Kitkat app drawer (on by default, get the old style by long-press > Edit > tap the icon > Built-in)
Transparent system bars on Kitkat (Settings > Look and feel > Transparent Notification Bar)
Transparent nav bar on Moto X (Settings > Look and feel > Transparent Navigation Bar)
Drawer tab indicator scrolls during tab change
Drawer scroll indicator is relative to current tab
Scroll indicators animate properly for infinite scroll
Backup/Restore from external sdcard (on devices with sdcards)
Fast scroll for vertical app drawer

Now there are a few ways to get it. I'll let this page explain it. I would recommend doing it through Google+ instead of just downloding the apk. That way you get updates automatically through the PlayStore.

Once you join the Google+ community, the page should load. If you don't join the community first, you get a 404 or forbidden page.

I tried the music search extension and I was dissapointed. I have to unlock the screen first to tag a song If I unlock it first I can do a swipe gesture with nova to search. So I don't need the extension. I don't think it's a setting issue, right?

I'm not sure I haven't used the music search extension. Maybe there is a different music one that will do a better job?
The problem for me with this is that it's not that useful if you have a lock on the phone (pattern or pin). What I really want is the ability to see recent emails / messages etc on my lock screen without swiping. I know I can set the lock screen maximised to show this, but then I need another swipe just to get back to the unlock screen which is frustrating (fwp, I know!).
Or if I have the lock screen minimised, all it will tell me is the number of unread messages etc, not who they are from. So then I have to maximise the lock screen to see this info, but then I may as well unlock it anyway.
I think the only way something like this could be useful for us with a pattern lock is to reduce the size of the pattern unlock grid and show it on the same screen as the maximised lock screen. Anyone know if this can be done ?
Is it possible to have daskclock fully expanded on the lock screen? Or do you have to always pull the widget down to expand it?

That's something a custom rom will allow you to do and not dashclock itself. You will have to flash something if you want that feature

I have the obviously collapsed version on my lock screen and then the expanded version on my home screen which means the full view is still only one swipe away BUT all the add ons that only work after unlocking work immediately.
Does anyone know if there is a way to resize the font?

If you install the Xposed framework (there's a working beta out for KitKat now), install the module named GravityBox. There's an option to have maximized widgets by default. I use that for DashNotifier

Widgetlocker app replaces the default lockscreen. It allows to resize the widgets as you like.

Pretty sure they have to have a reminder/alarm set...when it reminds you it should stick unless you clear the notification

Hello Guys ... i used to have an s5 widget for my own in uccw but it kinda suck
but i have heard about zooper and its awesomeness ..so i have ported it and it also looks typically like
the s5 one pixel-by-pixel
Features :

- 4x2 layout (if you use a dimensions with different scale than (2X*X) the clock and date would be ruined "for now" )
- 10 Weather Condition Textures (background and small accuweather indicator)
- 12-hour set with am\pm (next versions will introduce 24-hour mode)
- Celsius is used for temperature (you can change zooper to fairhenhiet but the "c" wont change "will see this too in the next versions")
- same font used as in s5 original widget "samsung numerals"
- same layout dimentions
- last update time is the time of last good update

For me, not worked in free zooper.. When i downloaded pro version- its WORK now

The temp is fine but the program is using much of ram so it's better to use the system weather.

may i say that zooper is a new app to the scene of android so its sort of beta so there is alot of work to be done in terms of lightness and functionality

Rubbish. I've been using it for over a year. There's nothing remotely beta or new about it.
