Hi everyone!
I'm using XT905(Australian model, not Electricify M) and on Stock and every custom ROM i have same issue. There is no 3G/4G signal. Only emergency call. What could it be? Hardware? Settings?
With sim card everything ok. And with 2G everything ok. Data and network works on 2G perfectly. I'm using GSM btw.

Problem is that there is no even network, when i'm switching to 3G/4G
Similar thing happend to me. i lost my 4G and my wifi. if settings cant fix it, then your going to have to reinstall your rom. fixed mine up :good: :laugh:

Hi guys
I've been trying to do this since day 1 with this phone. At work I'm in a spot where I get 2 bars of 4G and it reverts back to 3G . This happens all day . Is there a way to turn on LTE only like you can turn on CMDA only?

I don't think that's possible, as different areas are bound to have weak, strong or very strong signals.

IO do the opposite. Turn off lte because sometimes I'm getting weak lte but very strong 3g.

with the recent update on my s4, this is now not compatible to my device... any other alternative app? i used to use this a lot. now i miss my lte connection when im in the office.
Firstly, does your network support VoLTE?
VoLTE is not currently supported by any network in the UK, this means you cannot make or receive calls when on 4G.
What happens is when you make or receive a call, your mobile network forces you down onto 3G or even 2G.
Therefore if you find a way to force your phone onto 4G and your network didn't support VoLTE, you will never be able to make or receive calls.

"Advanced Signal Status" from the GooglePlay worked for me on latest 5.0.1 i9515 phone. It was a long time since i wanted to set it work like i needed.. Now my networks are in wcdma/lte only mode, working fine. Recommend!

Hey guys, I am having serious network issues.
3G and 4G are not working at all, when im connected to wifi however the 3G icon turns on and is grey, once I turn wifi off it goes away.
Every now and then I get a blue 1X signal and it is connected.
It does not matter what ROM I am on it still does it.
I have my network set to GLOBAL. Ive tried all of the other ones and still no dice.

that could be your issue then. if you are verizon like your info shows, then you should be on LTE/CDMA/EvDo. set that, then try a reboot.

I'm on that setting for the past 7 hours, restarted and still nothing :/
I also flashed stock 4.1.2 with the Batman utility and started fresh. I'm using Carbon now.
Would the "Network Operator" setting have something to do with this? When ever I go in there it just pulls up an error.

I get "error while searching for networks" - but no FC.
could have been a kernel issue for you then.

Tried removing my SIM card while my phone was powered off for about 30-60 seconds, it vibrated many times. Then I restarted my phone and it still won't connect to the mobile network.

I unlocked sim card on my SPH-L720 but it won't connect to any network except to 2G network. I live in Venezuela and It's supposed to get 3G signal with my carrier.. but only network I can use is 2G..
Is there any chance to force 3G connection trought service mode??
Did you set/add your APN manually? That usually has fixed the problem for me.

Is there any way, to toggle network mode from 4G to 2G without root?
The problem is, that when im at work or at home, my 4G signal strenght is really weak, so it drains my battery too fast. When i manually switch to 2g, the signal strenght is good.
Is there any way without root to toggle network mode with tasker or other apps, while my smartphone is connected to my home or office wifi?
I tried AutoTools w/ tasker and changed the preferred_network_mode1 according to this tutorial, but it did not seem to work:

im on the international/european unbranded version.
yes, i do have that option but i would still like to use 4g, when not connected to my home/office wifi.
I hear ya, I'm on sprint which is a bit of a pain because it'll reboot phone when switched, try dialing *#*#info#*#* from dialer and you should be able to change network type from there on that model(yes I know not exactly what your looking for), but that's only thing I can think of without having to root or reboot phone each time(I don't own that model so I don't know that particular phones software)

I have a problem with LTE in my device. When I have it in 3G mode internet works ok (but it's 3G). When i have it in LTE/3G mode first it connects to 3G, next it tries to connect to LTE but fails and it's out of reach for few seconds, and then gets back to 3G. I figured out that it isn't SIM card issue (it works with other devices). I also checked that this phone supports 4G bands in my country. Is there any way to fix it?
Check your apns you may need change or make new one.
