Dear all,
Today I was flashing my xt905 back to the stock rom through one-click fastboot but then before the first reboot everythings went black, there was a power failure in my house... then I rebooted my pc and tried to reboot my phone but there was no response. It doesnt response to any buttons nor charger, my pc can detect nothing when connected the phonw with usb...
My razr becomes a brick, totally...
What means can I do to rescue my phone?
Thanks!

Thanks for replying , do you think in my case it's a hardware failure?
Most likely a combination. you think they are going to open it up and go well this was rooted... They can't even turn it on so you rooting it shouldn't be an issue but opening it up tho that may be one in terms of warranty

I have new update man, I just connected my razr to pc and it shown the green led!!! Now I thought it's not a hardware problem but the bootloader damaged (just a guess) Is there any method to restore the bootloader?
When connected to pc it detected an unspecified device called "USB input device"

Long story short, bought a DX at a good price hoping to flash and sell. Here's the best part, the phone will not charge or be reconized when its on by a PC. To makes things worse...I factory reset it hoping it would take care of the issue and when it boots, it boots to no home screen (black screen, white top bar). I can't sbf, can't load the home screen and it wont charge when on. It does charge when the phone is off.
Anything I can do? I just don't understand why it will charge when off but not on and because of that, there is no connection to the PC so no way of sbf'ing. Phone is currently 2.2, 30.03 bootloader.
Any help would be appreciated!

pm replied too hope it this helps.
i was just thinking of something. you may not need to do what i suggested in the pm i sent you.
try this FIRST!!!
charge the battery (obviously) and power up the device. if you cannot see the screen plug in a hdmi cable to your tv.
press the Menu key when you're at the Home screen or a pane, then select Applications -->Development. USB debugging to turn it OFF.
if it is already off....then turn it on.
either way hopefully when you plug it in the drivers will install to your pc. if not then follow the directions i sent you in the pm. goodluck.
note: i do not know if it will work as i do not use hdmi on my device. but hopefully it displays the homescreens on your tv.
I have a case on my Nexus 7 that uses the four sensors on the side to turn the screen on and off. I was using the tablet just fine, then I close the case like normal, and upon opening it, it would not turn on. The only way to get a response from the device is by plugging it in and the screen just lights up black. Any type of power reset using the button combinations result in the screen shown in the video at the end of the post.

Sorry I can't post the link. I don't have 10 posts yet.
Solution: I removed the back cover and disconnected and reconnected the battery.

Not that I can recall. The tablet is purely my Portable Netflix/Evernote slave. I've left it on the wall charger for 24 hours, and on a usb port charger for 24 hours, to see if that helps but that won't do anything.

If you don't have anything important saved, you might to just try and wipe everything and start fresh. Are you rooted?

I have nothing that I would need to save, and how would I accomplish the wipe? I've never done it with an ASUS device before.

Check the stickies in the dev section, they will show you how to root/unroot and flash back to stock. You can likely just use the updated nexus 7 toolkit.

Good deal!
There have been a couple threads where folks reported similarly-behaving screens. "sparkles", "static", "like an old tv screen", et cetera. I think at least several of them were similarly traced to battery charge issues or loose terminals on the battery connector.
Maybe add "[SOLVED]" to your thread title and it will help future visitors with the same issue.
cheers

Seems you have the red light of death ( RLOD) . Can you get into the boot loader?
Plug in the charger, hold power button and volume down button. If you can get into bootloader then use the volume key to select "power down" and use power button to choose that option. Then just leave the phone plugged in for a while.
I've had it only take maybe 5 minutes and other times take an hour. Try turning it on, if it just vibrates then shows the Google screen and reboots then redo the steps and leave it plugged in and let it sit for longer

Check the file you flashed. Sounds like you flashed a ROM not meant for the nexus 4 like a nexus 7 ROM.
If that's the case you are bricked and only a JTAG will save it.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
If you can get in bootloader:
download the ROM from computer (correct one)
get into recovery
mount usb storage
put ROM in phone
flash rom
wipe
reboot
you might have to hold power and volume down for awhile.. 10+ seconds
You posted this in the wrong forum btw.. next time Q&A would be appropriate

No download mode, the only thing i could get out of it was a red led
You could try to charge it whole night, and then access the recovery /download mode, or maybe open it and unplug battery terminal and plug it back after few minutes....
If that won't help, I think RMA is the only solution (they should not be able to check it if it wont give anything but black screen)
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I don't think RMA covers user mistakes Its hard bricked if you flashed the wrong ROM. You have to send it away for J-Tag. Likely your only solution.
Gonna ask to the local LG store for repairing costs, then i'll value the best option
I erase my n7 boot loader and they fixed it for free should be the same with the n4

Try turning it in and see what happens, i doubt they will be able to tell the phone has the wrong software and the bootloader is unlocked.Good luck
Thought repairs should be done worldwide but swaps only in the country where you bought it.

Did you lost all the personal datas?
I had the same issue. Windows Explorer on my Win 7 computer was not downloading the image properly from Google, and when I tried to install the factory image I got the red led and it was stuck on the "X" screen. After trying several times to get it into download mode, I discovered that I could eventually catch it if I hit the volume down and power buttons at a certain exact time during bootup, at which time I reloaded a non-corrupted factory image and I was up and running.

So I hard bricked my 10 last week after being in a hurry and not running an RUU when downgrading firmware and of course has been unresponsive ever since. Out of curiosity, and a bit of desperation, I called Verizon to see if I could play the "it committed suicide during the ota". Apparently they can tell your device is rooted nowadays which is fine, my fault, but the red power Led was flashing and then stopped after the phone call was over. How can they connect to a bricked phone? My real question is is it really toast and they have their ways or is there some hope? (not holding my breathe)
Thanks
Edit: just plugged it back in and the red led flashed a few times. Mean anything?

I'll call them again later. I wonder if my Verizon app reports things to them in the background? I've had it request root before and I denied it. I went into the Verizon app on my m8 the other day and ran a device health check on it and it requested root, I denied it, and it still said custom software. Bastards are catching on!
