Nova Launcher - Weird line top left of screen - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have this weird line on the top left of the screen when I use nova launcher. The white line is only on my main home screen. It doesn't appear on any other home screen page. Any idea what could be causing this?
I have attached a photo showing the line.
Thank you in advance for the help.

I noticed that for me too. Top left of the leftmost home screen.

It must be the background image that has that line.
I have it too, but if I change the image the line is gone.

[Q] 5 screen preview

Hey guys. I went from a G1 to the N/S and it is amazing how much android has improved.
Is there anyway to get the wallpaper to display in the 5 screen preview when you hold down the app drawer button? It already displays widgets and icons just not wallpaper.
Long touch on any free space on the homescreen and the wallpaper option should be there
No, not the select wallpaper option.
If you press your finger and hold it on the app draw button for a few seconds, you will see a popup of 5 desktops. Each is a screen capture that shows your widgets and shortcuts. It does not show the wallpaper in the popups. Does anyone know a way to get the screen captures to display the wallpaper along with the widgets and shortcuts?
You used to be able to long press the dots near the bottom to see the preview, should still work.
Or just install launcher pro which you should be using anyway, no reason not to, and you get the preview function as well.

Yeah, it does. You can do it either way. Long press the app drawer or the screen switching dots.
Do you REALLY need to see the wallpaper (that you're currently seeing in the normal screen) as another tiny wallpaper in the little window previews on the bottom of the screen? LOL.

Change Lock Screen Background & Keyboard

Anyone know how to change these? I changed the regular background but the lock screen doesn't change. Also I'm not a huge fan of the bright white Samsung keyboard, however in settings I don't see a way to change to the Android keyboard. Its there, just don't know how to enable it.
Edit* I'm stupid, keyboard was up a level.. now just the background in the lock screen is my problem.

Just long press any photo in the gallery and then preserve menu button in the upper right corner. You ll see a command for "set picture as" with lockscreen as an option under it.

Wallpaper black on bottom half

So I just started having an issue where I go into my photos and do set as Nova Wallpaper. It then slowly brings up the wallpaper and I see the same thing every time. The top half is my wallpaper and the bottom half is black. When I set it it saves the same way on my screen. Anybody have this issue?
Update: when I go to share a link or add a pic it ends up with an all black screen and then I have to back out and try it again and it works.

[Question] graphical glitch? galaxy s5 verizon 900v

Hi- this screen never appeared before and now it does -.- tried wiping factory resetting and this image wont go away from my homescreen. Idk what happened please help looked everywhere of how to remove this but no one has had this issue. This never appeared on stock until after i unlocked my bootloader and installed cm. Tried to use the repair assistant and its still there.
edit: idk why it does not show in my screenshots. here are some photos taken from my iphone... hard to show but there is a white line that is in the background of my homescreen. Shows an sms icon slightly transparent. Annoying **** to look at when I take pics on snapchat. As you can in google playstore and the snapchat photo a SMS icon appears behind the mic in play store and under the switch to facecam icon in snapchat. Does anyone know a fix??
I still have no idea what you are talking about.

lol. ok before on my screen it will be normal fine no graphical errors no visual glitches. pictures wont show it for some reason but if you had my phone in my hand it would show up as SMS icon at the top of my screen like right below the navi bar. Shows up in camera and on my snapchat. Never happened till now. Idk if my screen got messed up or if its the constant switching of roms etc that gave me that glitch. its like a white line that separates the navibar and the rest of the screen at the bottom shows a menu bar on the left corner and some icons. its very transparent under the homescreen display like if the stock rom overlapped
like it shows a small phone screen is under the home screen. in the background- get me?
It's screen burn in. It happens with amoled screens if they are left on a static image too long. You can try some burn in fix tools in the play store. That's why you don't see it in your screen shots it's a hardware problem.

thank you! do you recommend any that would work?

The shortcuts on Mi A1 stock launcher seem strange. Is this an issue?

When we press the icons and a baloon pops up, the baloon is cuted by the screen margins, if we press the icon on the middle of the 5 icons. Is this normal? Another thing is when we change the size of the display: the problem is solved and the baloons will stay in the screen with out cut. But, in this mode, on the top right corner of the baloon we can see a line that is aesteticly ugly.
I know this is a minor question. But what do you think about it. I know I can change the laucher, tho.
This appens on Oreo 8.0 I dont know if the issue was present on Nougat.
