use droidwall for it........its best to do the thing u want

I'm using tmobile with a 2gb data cap, when I start out at 0.00 kb of data, it's fast.. Market apps download fast, videos stream fast.. Once I pass that 2gb cap, data is slow but manageable. I often wonder if there's an app to control the use of data during specific hours, so my 2gb cap last more than a week...

I would recommended lbe privacy guard.

A free app is Permissions Denied. This lets you block permissions on an app, and one permission is being able to use the network (internet).
Thanks u all for help
I'm using droidwall app

I always have my mobile data turned off so that I don't get charged for it extra on my bill as I don't want random apps to be using data in the background without me knowing. I want to find a way to only enable data to the app Cerberus which can track your phone and stuff when lost. Is there a way to only enable data on certain apps because I don't mind paying a few extra dollars if that means me finding my lost phone.

If you go to settings>data usage and tap on an app in the list at the bottom of the screen, then you have an option to turn off background data when using mobile. See screenshot (it's in polish, but you get what I mean )

How?

A firewall from the play store. I recommend Android Firewall.
Edit: requires root
Use droidwall (rooted users only)
OK so a firewall did work and let me set which apps I want to allow WiFi and data... However it was really annoying because after I install a new app it would prompt me asking me to set the settings up for the new app... I don't want to keep doing this for every app I install is there any other way??

I have 4 days left to return this phone with 50$ restocking fee. Unrestricted tethering I is very important but is found on the note 3 but not the g2 T-Mobile from some developers. Will the g2 would ever have unrestricted tethering? Don't like note 3 size.

They already created a tethering mod for vzn I don't see why it is any harder for T mobile

What do you mean by unrestricted? T-Mobile tethering and wifi Hotspot work just fine. If you're trying to use tethering without noticing from the carrier, I use PDAnet. USB tethering works undetected.

Hi I was just wondering what can I delete in my system app/ wakeblock to just have my phone work only on WiFi. I don't have service anymore and I know that having all the service stuff on here drains my battery. Or dose it not matter? Thanks!
Sent from my SPH-L720 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I would honestly leave it, removing could actually cause drain. Just put it in AP mode and use WiFi

That's what I was thinking. ^^^
I know from experience. That stuff is built into the framework. Basically so deeply integrated that you would have to modify other things that I'm not even gonna go into.

OK thanks guy!
