ok so I purchased a note 3 recently from a friend and I am at the dreaded 27% install issue people are having for kitkat.
The phone does say custom upon starting with the open pad lock, upon checking a root checker app it seems the phone is not rooted.
I is a att phone, does this means it is unlocked? it also says under version 4.3 so i dont think its a custom rom?
My main question is, if I take this phone to bestbuy to a samsung hub will they update it for me to kitkat even with the padlock open on my startup screen?
Please keep in mind im totally new to android so any help will be appreciated! thank you!

Well... After i installed the custom recovery in my Samsung galaxy S4 Canada "Rogers", and also flashed the CyanogenMod 10.2. i've got many problems in ma phone and the main one was because i'm not use to CyanogenMod thing. So. i got the Custom recovery "TeamWin" and i want to remove that completely from ma phone and i want to get back to the stock device and stock recovery as well.. Please!

Hey guys,
Well my ATT Samsung Galaxy s 4 was running 4.4.2 rooted and it automatically updated itself overnight although it's still at 4.4.2. Now my phone won't connect to anything Google related, when I try to open my Google Play Store it says "Check your connection and try again" and it won't fix. I know it's a problem that has to do with the hosts file but I can't edit the host file without rooting my phone and when I try to use towelroot it just says phone not supported. My phone model is SGH-1337 and the kernel is 3.4.0-2539008, i'm new to the forum so sorry if this information doesn't help.
Can someone please help me out?

hello
i recently bought a new s4 i9500 international and im a bit confused.
When i boot into odin/download mode it states the device model as i337 (att variant of the s4) but this is supposed to be a gt-i9500.
it is currently on 4.3 jellybean i want to upgrade it to 4.4.2. or lollipop how do i go about doing that.
I want to send it to Africa which firmware do you recommend.

You own a Frankestein. Install this APP and add some screenshots.
@androidfine16: Without seeing your information from Phone Info, I can virtually guarantee that your only means of upgrading will be to install AT&T firmware, which will not lead to a good experience unless you're not planning on rooting the phone. AT&T locks its bootloader, making rooting virtually impossible.
If you just got this device, run, don't walk to where you got it from and return it.
Hi, recently i purchase a Samsung Galaxy S5 G900F online, turn out to be Model SM-G900F but Build is G900V, so i went to upgrade to lollipop using Mobile ODIN Pro and now i'm stuck at the verizon warning startup. I know i been cheated but i really need the phone instead of go through all the refund process which take days or weeks. I been trying to put it back to where it could be functional but i failed. Please is there any solution can guide me through this nightmare. I really really need the phone to be working again. If is does not appear to have Lollipop then the older version is fine by me too. I really hope this doesn't break any rules, and doesn't automatically get removed! I just joined this website in hopes of getting some help regarding my girlfriend's phone. She has a Samsung Note 4 (SM-N910A) that was originally AT&T and was recently unlocked (no idea how!). She attempted to setup WiFi calling with no avail, and I assume its because everything on it is still AT&T. I tried to look into how to install the stock T-Mobile items, but I'm COMPLETELY lost. If anyone has some basic info I'd really appreciate it! Not looking to do anything else with the phone aside from that.

To do that you need to flash T-mobile based rom and your phone must be rooted.but sadly you have AT&T variant and there is no root method available until now.
My best suggestion will be swap your device with unlocked T-mobile variant.
Hey AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4 who is still in Android Lollipop who can temporary root with KingRoot and who has a Windows PC.
If you have a computer, and if you can root with kingroot Use the batch file on a Windows based computer. And please create the unbrick image
