Are you using an app or ADB commands?

It's rooted on kitkat 4.4.2 and the app is in the playstore. It's a paid app root required

Unfortunately it only records sound from the mic and not the system. I've been able to do that in android for a long while now using Screencast. When I first read about the built in screen recording I thought it was going to include system sound, but looking into it on the android developer site it even notes there that the screen recording through ADB does not include audio.

After a bit of searching I was able to find this for recording audio from the OS and not the mic.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2476818
It requires root which I don't have yet. I'm not really sure I want to root at this point.

I have screencast also but it's not compatible with tegra 3 or 4

[Request] recommendation for a good call recorder

Hello,
As the title says, I need a recommendation for a good call recorder app. I need an app that automatically saves my 10 last calls (or so) with the ability to save the important once permanently.
And another thing: it is important to me that it will record through 2-way kernel and not through the mic due to poor sound quality. From my understanding it is a kernel feature, and honestly, I have no idea if mine supports it or which other one does.
I run PA 3.99.1-RC1 with its official PA kernel.
Thanks a bunch in advance!

What do you mean by "no need"? The quality is way better that way

I mean i'm pretty sure with alsa or somehow it records through audio line even tho microphone is selected. Just try it and decided for yourself.

Well I do hear pretty good although the sound level of me speaking is way louder than the other person on the line..
What causes the PhoneLine not to work?

I think you need kernel hack to do it and no one did it here.

Ir blaster

Just wondering what other devices you guys are using your note 3 to control. I didn't even know you could use it for things other than a TV. In the xda YouTube video review of the note 3, the reviewer mentioned he was using his note to control the camera he was using to record.

It can control anything that uses IR to receive signals and messages.

HBO GO app?

Anyone get the hbo go app working on note 3? Playstore shows incompatible. I emailed them and they said they are aware of it. Wish I would have backed up the app from my note 2 to try it.

I haven't had a chance to watch much but it appears to work. I'm working off a backup from my note 2, just like you mention. Isn't there an xposed module to fool Google? You must be rooted of course.
I tried the xposed module and it will let it show up, but will not let me download it. I would love a copy of that apk.

I can get showtime to work and play video on 4G but not on wifi. I can get hbo go app to work until I try to play video. It won't work on wife or 4g. Also won't work with hdmi/ mhl adapter. It reminds me of other apps that have some sort of root checker. But I'm no expert.

Xposed Framework & GravityBox[KK] module.
Also I believe WanamKit module would let you do the same.
Be aware, Xposed isn't compatible with ART so you won't be able to enable ART with Xposed installed.

Actually I think this is exactly what you were asking for. It's a suite of changes and tweaks. All of which you can customize. As far as I know there isn't a quick one-shot app to do this, but if you're willing to tweak, its the answer you're looking for.

Yep, GravityBox has QuickSettings management where you can customize which tiles are there, the order they're in, how many tiles in a row, etc. It's one of my favorite tweaks to date.

Yes. I flashed Stock, unlocked bootloader, rooted and then installed Xposed Framework and GravityBox. That's all and it works perfectly. Just wait for the 4.4.2 camera mod and a working volume boost and then is everything perfect.

I had this exact same issue! Uninstall the V4A driver and uninstall V4A. Copy the .apk to /system/app and set permissions to the same permissions the other apps in that folder have. Reboot. Open V4A (which is now installed without opening the .apk), install the V4A driver when prompted, voila!

for example let's say your TV's max res is [email protected] and Note3 automatically connects to it. but your TV also supports [email protected] and [email protected] so a mod would be great to allow you to switch to all possible resolutions. note3 works at [email protected], tested on another TV.
