I tried them ages ago - you dont get any audio duo to libs
if you want radio either use stock rom or an internet radio app
You can use TuneIn Radio. Very nice radio app but it requires an internet connection.

I just bought my daughter the Flip Out. I've read that it has a built in FM radio tuner, but that you have to use the AT&T Radio app to use it. I believe that this app costs $4.99/month.
Is this the only way to use the FM tuner?
Do you have to pay to use the AT&T Radio app if all you want to use it for is your built in FM tuner?
Thanks,
Rich
I believe no.. Check if there's Radio under Music. My version has it there.

If you're saying you have a Radio option in the Music app, no I don't see one in there. (or are you talking about within the ATT Radio app?)

I have tested the Central Europe retail ROM and the UK retail ROM, these two have it under Music(Connected Music Player). The Chinese retail ROM has a seperate app for FM radio.
Check out user manual from Motorola, this should help.

Good old AT&T must have removed it from the rom to force you into their app. I did get my answer, however. You have to use the AT&T Radio app. After your trial subscription ends, it will only allow you to select FM Tuner option without subscribing.
So the FM tuner is free, that's acceptable...

Hi all anyone know if the xperia play has an fm Radio and if so where ?
Sent from my R800i using XDA App
There's no FM-Radio app on the xplay. SE chose not to enable that function for some reason ( afaik the hardware is there). I think I read somewhere that the reason is battery drain and that might well be, cause on my HTC DHD it was a big drainer.
Regards Dousan...
Good news if the fm Radio hardware IS there, but I have my doubts... Anyone know any apps that might make use of the possible fm Radio hardware?
Has anyone got the radio to work using any apps?
Sent from my R800i using XDA App
It's confirmed that the radio is there

its will be disabled in the kernel so no app will be able to access it there is no doubt is existst as a fm transmitter/receiver is part of the snapdragon chipset.

I want an fm radio app which is compatible with this (Android 2.3.7) which doesn't have mandatory bluetooth that is one like in stock rom..

Stock FM from 2.2 doesn't show the Icon but bluetooth is enabled if you check the radio status from terminal emulator and such. Spirit FM I think doesn't do that. You'll need to find Spirit FM Free, the author placed it in some filesharing site and removed it from market.

YOU CAN NOT enable FM without bluetooth, spirit FM uses the same instructions to enable Radio as Stock or CM roms. The reason you can not see the Bluetooth icon on stock Roms is that its hidden, but you can easily check that its on, by say getting any bluetooth manager app, and going into it, realising bluetooth is already on
what is the latest version of spirit fm radio????
Check this
I think the below link is the one. Please check
__https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mikersmicros.fm&hl=en&rdid=com.mikersmicros.fm&rdot=1
remove the underscores before

Try tunein radio for free radio, it relies on mobile data / WiFi but is very good for a radio app.

There is spirit radio for those who dont have FM radio in stock. It works with every previous phone I owned but not working with my setting on my n4.
As far as I remember it is kernel specific and with franco its not working now. I still have to search and try few different settings.
In short Spirit FM radio is your only hope.
Edit :- was searching for spirit fm support. Till now no support and things not looking positive. They are coming out with next version in Jan so just wait and watch other than that dont even hope it will get FM radio support.
I read in the specs that this phone has an Fm radio. How do we listen to it? I couldn't find anything in the music player for it.
Anybody know?

Sounds about right. It would be pretty dumb to have a feature hard-wired into the device already and simply not bother to enable it. Hopefully it was just a misprint or something.
Due to tax issues LG disables radio in Turkey d802 comes without radio but if u flash UK Rom radio works. Hope someone will come up with apk solution
