If you hold it in direct sunlight you will notice that its not black on the front it is a dark royal blue. Has any one notice this besides me.

S4 is the same. I know that doesn't help you, but it was well documented with the "Black" S4s.

Just held mine under a very bright lamp and it looks black. I'll confirm that tomorrow (hopefully, if the sun is out ) and let you know!

It's black in most lighting conditions.. only if you shine sunlight directly onto it, you can notice a slight navy-blue tint. It's definitely more black than the S4, it's not at iPhone 5S black level, but it's black enough for a Galaxy device, when compared to the S4.

I have both and I love the blue. It's different. The face (screen) is awesome. It's like blue steel.

I like the blue, finger prints are an issue though on the back. Not a big deal.
BLUE....AO....SHIRO DEWARIMASEN!
Lol, get blue.
I know you don't wanna hear this but it's really just personal preference..but either way
White!
I saw the blue and thought it was just ok, that and I'm sick of black / dark colored phones..
Went with white. I always had dark colored phones as well, plus the blue looks more purple then anything! And the home button is a different color, which makes it looks ugly in my opinion.
I ordered white and I went to T-Mobile store to check them out. I left with a big relief since I still want the white.
It's of course a personal preference. If you have any doubt you should go look at them side by side.
White, it looks awesome.
blue cuz it's an awesome color

I have the blue, but went out today and took a look at the white, certainly better looking than the blue, however I still have a problem with carrying a white phone around, just looks odd to me. It's kinda like painting my house pink, eewww.
Also the blue is a finger print magnet. I have the mesh case on mine to help with that problem.
Thx for the opions guys.

I preferred the brushed aluminum look of the blue but the different colored home button threw it off. I went with white, it's all the same shade and matches anything

same here. I actually liked the blue a lot. but the metal rim has such a purple tone I can't help feeling it's gimmicky.
I have seen them both in person and after doing so, I'm glad I pre-ordered white.
I have both colors

I went with white. As many people said before, I am tired of having a black phone all the time. In my opinion the white just looks so much better. Again just my opinion.
Blue. It looks sleek and futuristic. Here's mine...
the post above gives a really good idea of the blue, i have seen both and the white one looks very plasticky (also there is light bleeding on the cap lights for every white samsung phone which i cannot stand), the blue has an elegant brushed finish, i would go for the blue again if i ever had to re purchase.
I just wanted to say how happy I am I waited for the black color to become available. And by waited, I mean bought a blue then a white and now my lovely black. I definitely like the black the best

I saw it a few days ago in the shop and I have to admit it looked gorgeous and much better than the blue one. I also noticed the plastic on the edges is a fraction of a millimeter higher against the glass, I guess they did some minor revisions on the manufacturing.
Bought one but reverted back to the white. Couldn't stand all those fingerprints. Even the slightest specks of dust were visible too.

if there was a matte black i'd want one
sent.
It IS gorgeous...got mine via expansys a few days ago. Not that this should be a reason to love a phone but have had several people ask if this is the galaxy s4 lol.
Because of the amoled tech, if you disable the wallpaper using apex or something, the blacks of the screen are so deep that it looks completely seamless the frame/bezel. Currently rocking a minimalist white icon dock and it all looks very slick.
Highly recommended.
I waited very very long too only to grt it in black.i generally have always black phones i love the dsrk style but on the s3 it looks georgeus.
It makes the s3 look like a alien weapon

LoL that's a blue with a black cover.
My Pebble Blue looks very similar to that. I've got a black cover on the back of it and it's hard to distinguish both! Quite interesting!

No, it's black. The flash is messing with the picture. It does look a tad blue in the pic. I assure you in person the black is black, the burple and black look very different.

I just got my AT&T S4 off of ebay. It said Black Mist, but the front looked like a dark blue. Is it supposed to be dark blue or a pure black color? Just wanna make sure. Thanks
It's Dark blue.
Its black not blue

Yup I thought the same thing.
It's definitely navy blue, not black.

Ok. Good to hear because I was alittle skeptical when I received the phone.
Hi guys. Was wondering if u guys notice, experienced or this is normal about the camera led on the Note 3. I notice the led flash was abit yellowish, tinted, not completely white. I've compared it with other phone brands from my bro n there's a noticeable difference between them. Just want to know opinions before going down to service centre. Thanks.
Yes it is yellowish compared to my old i9100.. but works much better in the dark i find.

Yellowish tint for natural colors when shooting pictures in the dark.
(yellowish color imitates sunlight better than cold blue, probably thats why)

I haven't noticed this on my edge+, on the note 5 I had this dirty screen issue under direct sunlight. That along with reception issues is why I exchanged it for the edge+ and so far its been great.
