I recommend you don't, but if you must here's a thread discussing how to port roms from the international s4: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2349440

After upgraded my S4 i9500 from 4.2.2 to 4.3 XUEMJ5 via Kies, I'm having a lot of troubles regarding battery drain and overheating.
I came to the Samsung Services Center yesterday and asked them to downgrade my device back to 4.2.2, but their answer is "Sorry, we cannot do it. Once upgraded to 4.3, there is no way to reverse to 4.2" ?!?!!?!?!
Is it true? Has anybody tried to downgrade your S4 from 4.3 to 4.2
Thanks for your advice!

I had the same issue. There seems to be a problem downgrading to certain 4.2.2 roms. I eventualy managed to downgrade using the South African version (I9500XXUBMH1) . After you've flashed this, you can re-flash whichever ROM you prefer.
Give it a go and let me know.
Cheers

Are you really serious? So you can downgrade from 4.3 to 4.2.2 using that firmware? What does your knox say in download mode?

Unfortunately it states:
Current Binary: Custom
System Status: Custom
Warrant Bit: 1
But it doesn't really bother me for now, until I have to send it back for repairs I guess
I'm sure the Chainfire guys will eventually be able to reset this counter as the TriangleAway is currently not supporting the GS4 I9500.
Cheers
So is there a specific way you have to flash it or do i just use odin?
Do i flash the roms back to back or what?

Have you updated your baseband and modem to match your new ROM? You need to flash them in desktop Odin, normally a few times in a row, and once you reboot your WiFi etc should be back.

Ahh, well if you still have the 4.2.2 bootloader then you'll probably have some WiFi/sound issues depending on the ROM you pick. You can always flash a 4.2.2 Based ROM to unbork your phone and then look for an alternative?

is there a way to downgrade Android 4.4.2 to Android 4.3 on the i9500 i need this urgently. (Stock Official Samsung Touchwiz)
Have you tried downloading the 4.3 ROM for your phone's region from www.sammobile.com/firmware and flashing it with Odin? If you are not sure how to do that, you should be able to find lots of info in the forum explaining how.
BTW, questions should be posted in the Q&A forum.
Best wishes

You can still downgrade your phone , by using a Custom rom. But if you flash a stock 4.4.2 STOCK then you can no longer downgrade yoUR phone into 4.3 STOCK rom via odin.

Hey,
your latest stock rom was 4.4.2, right?
Then it doesn't make sense to flash a 4.3 firmware because that isn't really possible. And a 4.3.1 firmware doesn't exists I think but I'm quite not sure. But that isn't important, because your have to FG lash 4.4.2

Which result do you want to have?
Do you want to go back to stock completely?
Then flash 4.4.2 of your country and be happy. Of course you need to fullwipe your device

trank i sollen the Problem
Hello
I have a Samsung Galaxy s4 GT I 9505
and i have a terrible problem. The problem is the CPU Overheating.
The phone becomes very hot With only normal use.
I tried several ROMs And stop all device fetures
but It did not solve the problem.
Is there another solution such as using a certain kernel .....???
thanks for help and Sorry for my bad English.
Use a fan like me lol, I think all of our s4s overheat so it's nothing to worry about ur not the only one

Is this stock or custom roms? Go to about phone and look under baseband. I don't really think this is too much of a problem, when gaming it is normal. I know I had problems with this on Kitkat, but lollipop seems to have fixed it for me. If all else fails, try full wiping everything on a custom recovery and going to stock with odin. Look for the unroot thread which is in general i9505 I think.
