Hello everyone, i rooted my phone and flashed a custom rom to my S4 and i could even restore it to stock once but when i rooted it again and flash another custom rom i can't get back to stock!
odin keeps failing whatever i do it says "Can't open the serial(COM) port." for 4.4.2 stock
and "Complete(Write) Operation Failed" for 4.3 stock rom and i just cant do anything with it, i tried uninstalling the phone drivers and installing them again what should i do ?

restart computer
try different port
impossible flashing 4.3 - downgrade
Are you using the same "official" build you were on last before flashing a custom ROM?

Edit:
I just the cable port and it installed or updated the drives, whatever happened i could flash 4.4.2 successfully!

do not try to flash 4.3 it will not work you cannot downgrade from 4.4.2 as your bootloader gets updated and if you do then you will only endup trigring knox binary that will void your warrenty if you care....

Hi everyone,
I hope someone can help me with this problem. Basically I was updating my phone to mk2 BTU via kies and it failed. Kies stopped recognising the phone and it kept going in to stock recovery.
I tried manually flashing stock mk2 via odin but I kept getting the same result.
Then I got fed up and I rooted (cf auto root) and installed TWRP and my phone booted in to a rooted mk2. My knox is now triggered which is a bit annoying but at least it works now.
The problem is if I try to flash stock rom via odin it still does the same thing boots in to stock recovery and then I have to root and install twrp again. I blame all this on KIES!
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Not clear here - by stock rom do you mean stock MK2 ROM (unrooted, same CSC as the rooted one that works)?
Have you also tried in Kies the special "emergency recovery mode" (under tools)?

Hi,
Yes thats right MK2 stock unrooted and same CSC. I tried KIES the first time with emergency recovery but it kept saying device unsupported, that's when i rooted it and installed TWRP and it worked. I don't understand it.
I rooted my note 3. Then installed cwm recovery through odin 3.09. Then i tried to install two different custom roms,one is 4.3 other is kit kat, using cwm recovery. They both installed succesfully but after installation i reboot and it freezes at samsung logo. Also i tried an official russion rom using odin 3.09. It opens but this time it always gives keyboard stopped working error. What must i do. I cant install any rom. Please help

sorry by my inglish, i will try to explane...I can see what you say, tahat you didnt flash tho csc file , that why you have that keyboard error.. you can solve that by conecting some bluetooth keyborad to your divice , and with that keyboard try to write the fields to get to playstore an donwload another keyboard for your divice like , donwload another one from playstore like swifkey, once u donwload the keyboard selected insted samsung kerboard
But i flashed scs. No way. And also i cant start any custom rom after installing throughh cmw recovery
So you flashed Kitkat 4.4.2? -- N900 or N9005? -- reflash your Stock ROM - need to be 4.4.2 now since you tried previously.
Yes kitkat 4.4.2. N900. I can install succesfully using cmw but after rebooting it freezes at flashing samsung logo

My note 3 on t-mobile was acting up after i went back from CM to stock with exposed modules. I accidently wiped internal storage doing a reset and now only can boot into TWRP. I downloaded stock firmware and am trying to flash it using Odin but i get a failed to write error after a few seconds. Phone says SWREV checkfail sb(1)fused 2> binary 1. Phone is recognized by computer but nothing seems to work. I've tried older versions of Odin and even stock firmware for 4.3. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried flashing cm11 from an sdcard in TWRP just to make sure the device is okay? Or even a stock rom.

I just was able to side load CM11 from adb so it looks like the device is good. I was a bit worried. I am guessing that i will be okay to go back to stock from CM using Odin now if i wanted to. Thanks for the help.

I want to revert back to stock however I tried following rom but failed with error "nand write start failed"
I am able to root phone and install custom recovery, Already using TWRP, Installed this rom via CWM, Everything went smoothly but with Odin it's giving error:
Triend : Odin 1.07,1.09...
and following Factory OS:
I9505XXUGNK4_I9505OXAGNK4_DBT
I9500XXUHOA7_I9500SERHOA7_SER
I9505XXUEMKE_I9505OXAEMKE_DBT
Phone is DBT German version, I also tried re-partition but failed with error "Secure Check Failed Pit" (On Phone)

Search for downgrade from Lollipop to 4.2.2,you wont't be happy,search and read before upgrading,you have flashed a new boatloader.
When I was on 4.2.2 tried to upgrade to 4.3 also 4.4.2 with stock firmware downloaded from sammobile. But odin giving same error (nand write start failed)

So, today I tried to upgrade my gt-i9505 with android 4.2.2 to 5.0.1 lollipop.
I downloaded the rom from the sammobile, I started odin , i had the drivers installed, and at the end of flashing system.img.ext4, the fail message appeard, and after that, i was unable to install another rom, i still get the nand write start error. Can someone help me? THX in advice.
P.S, i had the stock rom, without root and an custom recovery.
