Do you have a micro sd memory card inserted? If yes, remove it and see how things go. If everything ok when micro sd card removed then the problem is in your memory card. Try to format your memory card to FAT32 using a pc.

Better move your items in memory card to a pc then format that memory card to FAT32 with default allocation size and try it again. If the same issue still exists, buy a new one then.

Some say you should format your memory card from your s4. I recommend you try it too after you backup your items from your memory card.

Thanks for another solution

If the problem exists after re formatting your memory card and/or you put a new one, then I guess it might be with sd card slot but that is like 0.1% micro sd card slot problem and 99.9% the problem is because memory card.

Please guys help me to fix my 16GB memory that always deletes files(some files) inside my memory card.
Everytime I try to format using HP formatter it says 'device is protected'.
Please post some advice to make it work again. I still believe there's a solution.
Thanks in advance!

I dont see anything wrong with the title.
I can format the sd using any other tool except to HP formatter.
And yes everytime i transfer my files from 4GB memory card, after removing from the computer the contains of 16GB are not equally the same as to my 4GB sd. For example i copied my titanium(folder) back up from 4GB and transfer it to 16GB the folder becomes empty when.try restoring. Even my music files are automatically deleted after placing the 16GB to my phone. Thats the situation.
But the other files remain inside.

Did you happen to not safely remove the sd card from USB storage? Also have you tried using a sd card formatter there are plenty free to download and may fix sd cards not recognized by windows. I have had this happen but only when I flashed wp7 and messed up my sd

Hi all,
Can anyone help me with this problem?
I have a 32GB class 10 micro sd card and I have used it from s3.. when I went to put the card in my s4.. I was restoring some games from Titanium Backup and there is toast msgs saying External SD memory left 1.78mb..
How can it be if my card still have a storage of 25GB not used? Is the datas of the games in another partition or if I would need to format my sd card? To FAT or Exfat?

Look in the TWRP and or CWM folders and sub-folders on your external sdcard,
most likely you have many nandroid backups in those folders.
Or perhaps you have a lot of recorded videos on your externel sdcard.
If worst comes to worst copy all files and folders from externel sdcard to computer
and then remove the sdcard, connect it to computer and use this fat32 format utility
to reformat the card.
Here is the download link for the free fat32 format utility: http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/FAT32format-Download-79375.html

I've had stupid Sh*t like this happen with my S4 as well - with both internal and external SD - so I just reformatted them (in Recovery! not in windows) and its fixed the issue.

This might sound really dumb but I can't figure out how to move my **** to the SD card. I downloaded couple 3rd party apps to move them but its telling me my device is sharing space with the sd and internal storage which is total bull. I would like to move **** but theres no option too. Any advice and or ways to move this ****? Thanks guys.
Google changed the way Android treats SD cards with Kit Kat...
If you meant moving apps to the SD card, you can do that with several apps with root. Not possible without root.
You can move media to the SD card no problem with most file managers.
It is possible.. You have to make two partition on your SD card... Download mini tool on you PC then put your SD card in it and make to partitions on SD card
Question
With the progress made on this phone in its current state can I move apps to the SD card?
I'm telling you it is possible download MiniTool Partition off the internet onto your computer
---------- Post added at 08:36 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:31 AM ----------
Root Browser and linked to SD card is what you put on your aunt on your phone
MOVING
Can manually move app data to sd card

When I had the Note 7 with a 256GB MicroSD card inserted, Everything that I downloaded went to that 256GB MicroSD card.
Now wih my S7e, using the same 256GB MicroSD card, I have run out of room on the phones internal storage. I have used 31 of the 32 GB that the phone had.
Question 1, How do I get the files on the internal card moved to the MicroSD card,
and
Question 2, how to I get future downloads and apps to automatically go to the SD card? I prolly missed some setting(s)..... Thanks!
BTW I have over 200GB of free space on the MicroSD card.
Make your sd card part of your system.partion

Before you make it part of your system partition back up files on your computer cause you'll lose everything on that sd card

Thanks for your reply but How do I go about making the SD card part of the system partition. I do not have root.
No root is required, just go to settings storage and click on sd card . Click this link http://www.xda-developers.com/enable-adoptable-storage-for-galaxy-s7-and-s7-edge/

Personally I would root making it part of the system partition is not wise as if something happens to your phone storage your SD will go with it root and use xposed to get Xinternal SD it allows full access to your SD card which everything saves to unless you don't want it to
