You can say that again ... more is right
hell, at least there's a glimpse of hope
i'm patient enough to see it fully implemented on my tab ^^
Oh wow that's amazing! Lets hope we get some more info on this!
Edit...
This video is probably fake. It could just be a movie, kinda like what Motorola was doing at CES. If you look closely it doesn't even look like his finger touches the screen which could mean the movie is playing and if he touches the screen the on screen controls would come up....hmmmm.

LOL, that would explain why the vid is only 5 sec ^^
somehow if people managed to make honeycomb works on their tab,i'd bet they brag about it on a couple minute video just for the hell of it
Im fairly sure if it was real it would we would all know about it because some xda pro would of made it happen
those hardware heys dont even look like galaxy tab
Fake for sure! Theres a bounty on here of over $1000 so am pretty sure if someone had done it for real they would b on here shouting an bragging.

Fake. It's the demovideo running fullscreen.
Looks fake, notice the buttons on the lower left ? although it might be the galaxy tab2..
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
I dont think they are hardware buttons, but buttons on a lower status bar, isnt honey comb meant to have on screen buttons
yes, its not a button
honeycomb have that on screen button
the one that bugs me is that kinda flying finger thats not touching at all like earlier post
it is samsung galaxy tab indeed, not galaxy tab 2 or anything
since its a video running full screen, thats why he's not touching it
lol, it's the video from youtube.com/android, it's a fake
I have done the exactly the same on my Tab just to see how it would look like, all the buttons and that stuff.
also, look at the Icon arrangement , it's exactly the same from the video, even the Appointment and the mails and also the ninja fruit kaka icon is on the same place

Help everyone. After a brief affair with the iPhone 5 this dinner, I have returned to Android via the Samsung Galaxy S 4.
Only problem is the bezels. They are too thin!! I literally can't type on this thing. Its not the size of the screen, I used to run a note, it's the bezels. Mainly the bottom one.
At the moment I run the GPE ROM. This is all fine and dandy, I'm loving the Nexus 4 like experience. But I miss the on screen buttons. They brought the bottom bezel size up significantly, making the typing experience amazing. I need that on this phone. But I also don't want the capacitive buttons. Luckily they dissapear when not lit up. And I found a flashable script to disable their functionality. I just need to find a ROM as stable as the GPE ROM and with on screen buttons and IR support like the GPE ROM.
Does anyone have any ideas? Other than the typing issue I like the phone. It's not nearly as comfortable as the 4.7" screen of the Nexus but its usable and really my only choice to get back to my Android home.
Thanks!

He means soft buttons. Like on the nexus devices.
OP, there's a couple aosp roms in the original Android development section that include soft buttons.

My girlfriend had the exact same problem and he's right - there are some great ROMs on there that will have exactly what you're looking for. There are some that coincide with the haptic buttons and some that are stand alone and do not use them at all.
Some can be found at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2257#romList
You can also find more by searching for specific ones.

You should give Task's AOKP a try. He works really hard to make sure it is as stable as possible, and you can activate the on-screen buttons.

One last question, is vibration alerts like really weird on this phone? Not just the ROM, I mean the phone in general. The vibrator is extremely loud, doesn't buzz very well, and with notifications it'll either go off in three very strange bursts or two very short bursts.
This is nothing like my iPhone, nexus 4, galaxy bite 10.1, or really any device I've ever used.
You might think I'm being really picky, but I just want to make sure this is normal

So, this ROM is amazing!!! Well I just have one small issue, the nav bar covers up the bottom portion if NY screen, so typing in the message fields in the Messages app doesn't work, and I can't see the footer in most web pages in Chrome.
Other than that, wow! Smoothest ROM I've ever used! With Dynamic Notifications from the play store the ROM is literally perfect, once I figure out the NavBar issue and how to disable the capacitive buttons (the flashable script I found didnt work :/)

A couple of things:
1. Keep in mind, using Dynamic Notifications on an Android 4.2 rom will result in battery drain while the notification is active. An Android 4.3 rom would be better for that, since it has the new "NotificationListenerService" feature.
2. For disabling the capacitive buttons, it might be worthwhile to move to a rom that has full hardware key rebinding. I'm a big fan of SlimBean. There is a settings screen that lets you choose exactly what each of the buttons does, and you can just set it all of them to "none", and then disable button backlighting in Display settings.
SlimBean has it's own look and feel, because the DPI is very low and the Slim logo is inserted a few places. All of this can be changed, though, if you prefer a more stock experience.
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions; I'll be happy to help.
i don't get it...how has no review shown this at all?
when you go home, the phone lags out for like 2 seconds. you can't switch screens..it's like it's unresponsive for a second or two before it starts chugging along. this wasn't shown in any video at all.
try it with keyboard up or without..you'll notice it with keyboard, because when you hit home, it takes like 3-4 seconds for the keyboard to dropdown and go away..that's bc it's like hung up when you're going home.
anyone else notice this? other than that, this phone rocks.
*edit*
the issue is def launcher redraw. when it's redrawing, it doesn't allow you to switch between homescreens or open folders, and it's a delayed response if you attempt to. hopefully our devs can do a modded launcher that won't redraw, or we can get some kinda bulletproof launcher script going.
VIDEOS:
of course when i went to film it, i couldn't get it to do it. took forever, but i finally got something. it isn't the 100% frozen issue, but it shows it getting caught mid-home screen because it's trying to redraw the launcher.

**NOTIFICATION DROPDOWN LAG SOLVED**
and here's the super annoying notification dropdown lag on the lockscreen (this happens when youre on the launcher and you unlock..if you're in a settings menu and your phone locks, and then you hit power and do the dropdown on your lockscreen, it WON'T lag like this..it will only lag if the last place you were was the launcher. wtf is up with this stupid launcher? lol)
turns out that you CAN NOT set a homescreen wallpaper to NON SCROLL, or else you get this annoying lag. as long as you set a wallpaper to SCROLL, then it won't lag at all. makes absolutely NO sense, but yeah. just tested.

Can you explain this a bit more? I am not entirely sure what you are referring to. I assume you are saying when in a messaging app and you have the keyboard up? My keyboard drops pretty quickly but i am also using thumbkeyboard. I've always had issues with stock keyboards.

Mine doesn't do this. Sounds like you got a dud.
lol i doubt i got a dud. although, i did have to return the first one the second i powered it on bc of dust under screen adn dead pixels. they gave me such a hard time because they're a bunch of morons at corporate stores and weren't going to let me exchange it.

anyway, doesn't happen everytime...any of you use swiftkey? when youre using the keyboard and you just hit home, it stays up for like, 3 seconds or so. it's getting caught up somewhere with the launcher perhaps.

ha i should've known it was swiftkey! bah.
i remember when i got the gs4 there were reports of swiftkey literally lagging down the phone by just being installed, even when not in use.
i LOVE that keyboard, but damnit, they really need to optimize it correctly!
Have to agree about SwiftKey. It lags on my nexus 7. It is absolutely frustrating on my gnex. Seems to run fairly well on the nexus 4 and on the s3 with aokp.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4
eh just uninstalled swiftkey and it made no difference. it's like when you go home, wait a second and then start scrolling, or else you'll notice lag. i'll just stop trying to be so speedy on my phone
A phone with these specs shouldn't lag. I sure hope the bootloader gets unlocked so aosp can be installed. That made a huge difference on the s3. I personally haven't gotten the phone yet. I am trying out a nexus 4 on t-mobile. Unfortunately, I get no signal in my house. So t-mobile is a no go. I was hoping this could be my next Verizon phone, because my gnex lags terribly. Using this nexus 4 is spoiling me quickly.

A few times today I was showing people my new Note 3.
It is completely stock and running Touchwiz launcher.
However, after putting it back on the table it made a strange beeping sound as if it had a new notification.
I've not heard this sound before and haven't since.
There was nothing running only the home screen.

I've never used NFC before so I'm not sure how that works (before the Note 3 I was using S2), but I know the S3 has NFC. Maybe Note 1 too. Coulda triggered something I suppose?
Bump your phones and see if it makes same sound.
I hear that sound too... like bird chirping (in whistle tone). 3-4 times in total of 5-6 minutes. But there was no notification at all.
And I don't not have any other devices near it... so no NFC issue possible.

Hi Guys, I've just bought a 6T....12 Hrs ago.
I love it, it gave me a real Wow switching it on.
There's just 3 things niggling me.
1. One speaker? Really? One Speaker?
2. The Clock and Weather Widgets, I can't get them lined up on the screen, also the trademark Red digit is not incorporated into the clock widget and both the weather and clock widgets show the date....!!! So side by side they not only don't align they repeat the same data and don't match.
3. Can't hide apps....would be nice to hide a load of stock apps I will never use.
Apart from those 3 gripes, the phone is amazing.
I absolutely love it and am very, very glad to be part of the OnePlus community.

Let me tell you what I've learned since I have gotten mine. I'm not sure about the clock and weather widget. But at far as the single speaker, this phone doesn't need 2. This summer l speaker is loud. And you can hide apps by creating a Locker. I'm not sure yet how to do that but you can Google that, that's where I read about it.

Thanks...yeah I hear you about the speaker but when you are watching a movie all the audio is in on one side....I mean come on it's mono and that went out in the 1960's!!!!
My first oneplus aswell ?. Another tip in hiding apps is that you can store them in the hidden section of your stock launcher. You can do that by swiping up to get to your apps and if you gently Swype from the left corner to the right it brings up the hidden section. One the speaker in with you most times than not I tend to cover it by accident while watching YouTube etc

I can have a dark theme on an amoled screen which looks awesome. I think it's brilliant. I've got the international version because I'm UK. Even the phone itself tells you how to hide apps in its default launcher, it pops up just after you open app drawer...

I must have missed that...
So do you know why my stock clock widget doesn't have the red digits? Is there an APK somewhere on XDA that can sort it?

Don't use the clock widget, search through your widgets for one called "OnePlus widget"
I completely agree with the OP regarding the feeling when using this phone. I had been a long time htc fan but after TMobile stopped carrying it, I was lost because the os experience was severely lacking from the other manufacturers. I'm on jump on demand and I tried fiddling around with lg and Samsung for a little bit but just want satisfied. Finally made the switch to iPhone and was happy for 2 years with apple, however after apple pulled the stunt of increasing prices for subpar upgrade to the iPhone this year, left a bad taste in my mouth and when I saw TMobile will carry the one plus, I decided to jump and give it a shot. It's been a long time since I had the feeling of having the perfect phone and this is coming from someone who tends to change phones every 3 to 4 months due to the freedom provided by JOD. I will be keeping this until the next upgrade from one plus comes out. Plus I got lucky as one of the reps sim unlocked my phone even though I met none of their criteria for unlock in the spirit of Thanksgiving holiday! So a pleasant bonus and now currently waiting for bootloader unlock code for root. The only reason I want to root is due to completely and utterly blocking ads from everything including apps. That is one thing I miss from apple. A lot less ads on the device compared to Android, however that should be resolved soon. This stock os is perfect otherwise! Amazing battery life, extremely fast charging, and buttery smooth! What else can one ask for!

Yep, that's the weather widget it's great and has the red digit.
But there is no clock with the red digit.
There is however a setting for the red digit clock for the lockscreen...so somewhere in the phone is a red digit clock widget!!!

Yep it's a great phone....very very glad I made the switch from HTC.
Advertisement wise you can use Edge browser with AdBlocker extension. It helps a lot.
I still haven't had one glitch or stall!!!
It's been nothing but super smooth...
Hey look at the widgets I've found...
The red digit is only the 1. Anytime a 1 shows in the temperature or time, it's red.
