[Q] how to the stock rom? im newbie

guys i just want to ask , how to change the stock rom?
my phone is samsung galaxy Y .

I guess he wanted to install another Stock firmware for Galaxy Y. I guess Odin does do the job for Stock firmware installation. But I can't give you the exact steps, as this is more of a device-specific question. So this would be more suitable if asked in Galaxy Y Q&A section.

i wanted to install other firmware for Galaxy Y and change the stock ROM to custom ROM but I don't know how to change it.
can you refer me a link for some tutorial about for Galaxy Y.

By this he can know how to.come back to his stock rom using cwm and other methods..

Restoring my phone to original (factory) settings after custom ROM

Hi,
I have recently rooted my S5360. Then I installed a custom ROM. But I want to get my old phone back. I want to restore it to the original ROM which it came from Samsung. Can I do that? How??

Thank you Sir, I am naive in this tweaking stuff & I am paying my price for having tweaked with my phone. Can somebody please post a download link for Odin for S5360 , I will be highly obliged.

Hey it always comes up like that, I think so it is only because of KNOX, it doesn't matter at all, it is all safe.

I have 2 questions before I can help you:
What ROM do you use?
KitKat? Lollipop?
What do you mean by "How can I turn my phone"?
From what you explained, I can guess that you are using stock Lollipop ROM....right?
This will be the answer to question no. 1
Now your question, "How can I turn (ON) my phone?".
I assume you can't turn ON your phone or in another words your phone is stuck in a BOOTLOOP.
This assumption is based on the first question's answer.
All Lollipop stock ROM can't be ROOTed the ordinary way.
Any attempt to ROOT a stock Lollipop ROM will cause a BOOTLOOP.
To ROOT any Stock Lollipop ROM you need a Custom PERMISSIVE KERNEL.
It means that you need to flash this KERNEL before you do ROOTing procedure.
You need to search this forum before asking these questions as there are many threads about this already!.

If your phone keeps restarting. Download samsung official firmware from sammobile.com and install it in your phone with ODIN. Watch youtube videos on how to flash official firmware with odin. you should do some reading before messing around:good:
