Hello, having noticed that LG Quickwindow is rather awkward to open with the left hand (it opens on the left) I was wondering how could I enable a 180° rotation on the screen, which would allow me to use the phone upside down with my left hand. I'm sure many cyanogenmod or other roms might allow me to rotate any direction as was often was the case in my previous phones, but I would rather stay on stock for now, thus requiring a "flashable" feature.
Thank you in advance,

if you are rooted and have xposed you can try g2 xposed or g2 tweakboxs I know one of them(or both not sure make sure to read) has the option for 180 degree rotation

Thank you for that, I'll try those as soon as possible

Hi,
Just got my Topaz today.
I only manage to get it to landscape mode when turning left, is there a way of getting to go landscape when turning to the right. I prefer it that way for querty usage, being right handed I prefer to have extra reach with mi right hand.
Thanks.
I thought that it can rotat each way except for upside down. If not that will suck but sure there is a hack for it. Try turning it to the right and tilting the screen down a little bit?
If it works let me know. And by right I assume you mean that you like the bottom of the phone to be on the right side. Because I hate diveces that rotate to the left.... I've seen a few where you need to turn it left to slide out the qwerty. Seems Bass Ackwards to me.
Is it possible to rotate both ways?
Anyone found a fix for this? I'm using the new WM6.5 rom, and after enabling auto-rotate, I can only get it to rotate one way. I'd like it to rotate the other way as well as that would suit the position of my car mount and car charger better. Any ideas anyone?
not sure if it works but you can try to change with advance config 3.3 landscape mode from 270° to 180° for right rotation but its fixed

Don't you mean "to" 90 degrees?
180 would be upside down?
yes 90 degrees
You can use ChangeScreen to rotate all the programs.
Changescreen does the trick
Thanks chaps for all the advice. Advanced config does seem to have settings to rotate in all directions, but the Touchflo interface would still only rotate in the one direction.
However, changescreen seems to override that, and allows you to rotate it in all directions (as long as you take the restrictions of the Manilla settings).
Thanks everyone!
Lee
I'm left handed and when I want to turn it landscape I turn the phone to the right but it doesnt rotate to the right It does rotates to the left..
Is something wrong with my phone or does this happen to everyone else
Think it only works one way. I'm left handed too and haven't noticed any particular need to turn it to the right.. I'm used to phones behaving that way I guess.
If you're lounging in a chair holding the phone at an angle you'll be glad that it doesn't suddenly rotate on you when you least expect it..
Yeah, i'm a southpaw. I would love if it rotated to the right and left.
anyone know if Open Home or any of the other home replacement apps supports rotate in all directions?
The Android OS doesn't support a rotate to the right, no home screen can change this.
Individual apps can support it (see bebbled) if they program for it, but it's a hack.

Motorola has it enabled by default on the CLIQ, not sure about droid.
It's very possible and should be part of the core.
Was playing with my friend's iPhone last night - it does it.
I too am a southpaw, would be nice. But I don't find it annoying or anything.
Is there some kind of tweak or such that I could install to be able to rotate my Galaxy Tab 4 (10.1) upside down? I got a case (with a built in cover) for it, that can fold and prop it up for easy typing, but the device ends up upside down so thus it's useless...
I'm rooted so maybe there's an Xposed module for this?

I may have same case. I use my tab inverted upside down, because such cover . In order to display was all the time in this state, I disabled auto rotate screen. And also that some applications were also upside down, I use Rotation Manager https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spydiko.rotationmanager
I found a way to easily accomplish 180 degrees rotation, there's an option to do so in Wanam's Xposed module... it was right under my nose! Haha Thanks all for the suggestions!
So a while back my nexus fell and the bottom half of the screen is damaged and is un-responsive to touch. Is there a way to force the apps that don't allow me to rotate it upside down to do just that?
If there's a way to have a kernel that forces it that'd be great as well, but I doubt that's possible. Any help or guidance would be very appreciated.
Rotation control, from play store( even on lock screen)

Awesome. Do you know if you're able to flip screen on android installation (I'm on an old ROM from lollipop.)
Turns out that you cannot flip it during install, is there a way to force it outside of installing the rotation control?
Hey! I just rooted my Oneplus6T, installed Nova Launcher and a screen rotation controller app, but I still can't keep the lockscreen in Landscape mode.
I double tap to wake the phone, it comes up landscape, I swipe up, but then the screen always rotates to portrait for the pattern (or the PIN, I tried that as well).
I've already altered the build.prop file, but it still hops to portrait every time. Is there anything I can do to fix it?
I tried a lockscreen replacement called "Hi Locker", and while it worked, you could just get right through it to the home page and do stuff, so it's not secure at all.
Thanks!
I just tried Substratum "Subtweaks" and it doesn't work either! Help!
So everyone else's phone stays in landscape when they enter their pattern to unlock?
Seriously, it would help if I knew this was JUST my problem. Might help me figure it out. Thanks!
Well, I'm glad to have joined such a robust, supportive community. :\
Pretty sure the lockscreen is only portrait. Why anyone would want it in landscape is beyond me, probably why it's not there at all.

Because this is stupid.

Every time I want to unlock my phone in the car, I have to do it sideways. I used a Note 3 that gave me a Landscape Mode Lockscreen for years, so it's certainly possible. I much prefer it, and I would like it on the Oneplus 6T, please.
And thank you, Bladestonez, for responding to my question, even if it was just to imply that it was ridiculous. Never settle! :\

You can always flash an aosp rom. I'm pretty sure aosp has lock screen rotation, you will however you'll loose the fingerprint scanner but it appears you don't use that anyway so might be a good option. Could also suggest lockscreen rotation as a feature for future builds of oos.

Hey! Thank you. I root to block ads and back stuff up, not to start installing custom roms, so I may just wait and see if they can add it officially. I did a little dance recently when I was able to install the latest OTA with Magisk without losing root. That's about as far as I want to push stuff like that.
I DID try the build.prop code, and while it does make the "swipe up" screen Landscape, when I do swipe up, the "pattern dots" screen rotates to Portrait.

It's not a deal-breaker, it's just stupid. As well as my Note 3, every tablet I've ever had has given me a Landscape Lockscreen, so it can't be THAT hard. They probably just decided no one wanted it and didn't include it (or inadvertently disabled it), I guess.
If anyone has any other ideas, I'm all ears. Otherwise, I've already been in touch with Oneplus and I think they put it on the wishlist for me. Gonna start holding my breath... NOW.

Yes, I know my case is the opposite, but you can use the same app.
My case:
Today I have noticed that on lockscreen the screen is rotating what did not happen before. I have tried several Rotating apps but none of them could block rotating of the screen while on lockscreen.
Lastly I managed to force it to portrait mode with https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pranavpandey.rotation
In the Settings - Conditions - Lock Orientation - it has to be set to Autorotation OFF then it works. When I set it to Portrait it doesn't.
So in your case you could try setting it to Force Rotation or Landscape.
