It looks like the $649 pricing for the M8 was only for a couple weeks, because now they've raised the price $50. Now there's no price difference between unlocked and the GPE, so if you're buying from now on, the GPE looks like a more feasible option.

No it was totally out of the blue. I'm very disappointed in this TBH. It already was trying to compete with the S5, and now that it is $50 more off-contract they're not helping their cause. This is just going to cause more disappointment with the M8.

Well it's still $650 from Amazon if you want to buy, but advantage of directly buying from HTC was no sales tax outside of CA, TX and IL.

Just give some info for those who looking for Samsung Galaxy nexus. Its $550 on expansys-usa eBay and $520 something after $20 coupon in mobilecityonline.com (Google it).
And you can also get a galaxy note (opened box) for around $630 in the mobilecityonline.com
Some OT here, Been looking the deals on mp for a while, some people are just not ethical enough, they're trying to make money out of this clean, free, nice forum, and selling phones at crazy prices, they are just taking advantages over some people who knew less info about the market. Anyway, do a bit search before you buy.
