Hi,
I have 16GB memory card. I have used it previously on my Galaxy s3 and now using it on Galaxy s4 i9505.
In the Gallery, i can not see pictures from the memory card and when I changed the location of taking new pictures To Memory Card, it did show pictures for few weeks but then all of a sudden it doesn't show any picture from the memory card in Gallery. However, when i use File Manager, the pictures are really present in the memory card.
What can i do to solve this problem?
1 Make sure there is no .nomedia file in your pics folder
2 make sure that you are viewing all the pictures from galary and not of one particular album.
3 try a different gallery like quicpic
A screenshot of your gallery will help us understand the problem better

Go into App Manager and clear the data for Media Storage. Reboot.

guys
i connected my android to my computer but in all directories like data, dcim, download, etc i don't see my camera pictures
I guess camera pictures are by default stored on the sd card and when i delete a video, i see space released in the sd card menu.
Thanks
Depends on what app yuo're using (which drives me INSANE! I wish devs would follow some sort of standard when saving to the sdcard)
Camera App saves to /dcim/camera
Video App save to /dcim/video
SnapPhoto saves to /dcim/camera/date
QuickCamera saves to /quick
That's all I've used.
Ok today was the first time i used the camera app on my play. I took some photos but now i want to actually access the files without sharing them via facebook or email but i cannot find them anywhere on the sd card or on the main memory. My phone is rooted. The only way i can access the photos is by clicking on media and viewing them that way. Does anyobe know where photos are saved(the directory location) thanks is advance.
There should be a folder on the sd card called DCIM they are in there

Thanks bro
after i put the memory card that was on my galaxy s3 in the S4 , the gallery dose not show any photos or videos from the memory card except what you have taken using the S4 camera.
so is there any explanation for that?
I'd like to tell the camera to use internal storage for all pics vids but I can't find the setting.
Reason is I like Quickpic way better than stock Gallery but Quickpic cannot modify anything on external SD cards due to Androids new laws on writing modifying external SD
Anyone find a work around?
Open camera then click on the settings cog at the top left.

Did you try rebooting the phone? I had similar issues and rebooting forced the phone to scan for media.

Just tried reboot and no luck.I dont even think it did a media scan wtf.Does the G6 show in notifications running media scan?Im very new to lg.all past phones are Samsung
And once again all pics show up in quick pic app so it must do a media scan on a reboot.
Any thoughts on this? This is not normal for a brand new phone.I tried media scanning apps and still nothing in my pic gallery app or music app.I transfered a couple of pics from sd card to internal memory and opened my pic gallery app and go figure the pics were there.
Does the app have permission to access the memory card? It's a new android thing now.
