Lost Samsung Music App. Want It Back - Galaxy Note II General

Hey,
Well, I was trying to install the S5 music app (flash) and I did so, got FC constantly, so I clear app data, cache, recovery cache, dalvik. I then flashed the S5 music app hoping it would work fine, but when I booted up the music widget was gone, so was the app.
I checked my app folder and it isn't in there either.... Is there a way for me to get it back or is it lost forever?

Extract rom files and copy music app.

have you root your device?

I think the s5 apps will only work on twizz kitkat rom so if you are still on 4.3 that might be the problem. Kitkat puts system apps in a different location AFAIK

[Q] Galaxy s4 i9505 music player problem after root

Hi
I have an S4 i9505which I have rooted. All was successful. After performing a backup with Titanium I started to uninstall the Samsung bloatware thru Titanium
Now the music player stops of its own accord so after realising what I had done
I went back into Titanium and restored the Samsung Hub/Widget and music player but something is still
forcing the music player to stop
Also when looking thru the gallery a window pops up sayint that samsung text to speech engine has stopped
Any ideas to what has happened or why it has happened?
What can I do to make the phone work as before?
regards

1. Go to Titanium Backup and Uninstall the "Samsung Tex to Speech Engine" Gallery problem would get solved.
2. For the Other Issue try Clearing Data for the Music App or You Can Just wipe dalvik Cache and Check.

Many thanks for your suggestion but I had to reflash my ROM with Odin in order to resolve the problem. Uninstalling bloatware with Titanium have corrupted something that Titanium is not able to restore also if I had a backup. I tried to investigate the cause of the FC of the music player with logcat but I haven't found anything... so... I reflashed. I would have preferred to know the reason but I needed my phone up and running... :silly:
My music player fc same as yours but havent rooted or anything?

[Big Bug] Calling running ART

Well, guys let's see if you can help me...
I had the doubt about running ART, because you know it, in LOLLIPOP there's necessary ART, so I changed DALVIK to ART, I was using all totally good, but... When I was trying to call somebody:
I press the number in PHONE app and if I press 2 NUMBERS It says "CONTACTS HAS STOPPED". I try a lot of stuffs, REALLY A LOT. But, when I gave up, I remember the ART change, so I turn back to DALVIK started phone app, press ALL THE 10 DIGITS NUMBER and there's no problem.
So:
In Art: PHONE APP CRASHES (sorry about the music is youtube option)
http://youtu.be/_Y6HMOC7h-8
In dalvik: Everything goes normal
(Sorry about the music is youtube option)

I've been using my phone for 1 week. It is rooted and is the EXYNOS 5433 version.
Have you tried it?
Is it just my phone?
Why you just don't try to install a new ROM. I think you pretty much known about it if you are rooted. Else in recovery just clear everything(factory reset) and then try to again use see if the problem is solved...

Hi, It is just your phone. I switched to Art about an hour after buying the phone, I am able to dial and use the whole without any crashes. The contacts and dialer works fine. Did you try to disable any apps / services manually?
No New rom
Well, There's no new ROM, for exynos, so I'll pass for this time, and yes I'm lretty sure that if I do a full reset There won't be any troubles on that apps. It just was so curious.
Did you root your phone before change to art? Is exynos version? I did it since wednesday, If I have more time I'll do a back up of all my apps and I'll do A FULL RESET in recovery, I'm just waiting to install CWM recovery.
It's probably best to wait for L to start using ART. Seems everyone that had tried it has run into problems.

[Note 4 (N910C)] app isn't installed when put twitter widget

Dear All,
Today I decide to remove the root from my Note 4 and keep original stock rom to receive updates official from Samsung. So I delete the root & backup my data then I reset factory & cache. After that I install the stock rom via odin & restore the backup. Everything is OK except when I want to put the widget for Twitter it give message in the bottom "app isn't installed" even the app is working without any problem. I try to remove the app & reinstall, Clear cache, Clear data, restart the device nothing working. I search in google for this issue I found some fix this issue when moving the app from SD card to main storage. For me I don't have SD Card installed. All other apps & widgets working without any problem. Can anybody help me with this issue?
Any solution???
I'm having the exact same issue, but with a fully stock Verizon Droid Turbo. I installed Twitter today, the app works with no problems. Just can't add the widget.
So the problem from Twitter??? Did anybody have the same issue???
Maybe the widget doesn't work with lollipop

Lollipop Music Lockscreen Bug

Hello. i am using Official Lollipop from Poland. And i do have a problem regarding Music Lockscreen. The album art is gone stretched. I dont know why but it bothers me a lot. The only solution i found is to restore it to factory settings. Can you help me guys? It wasnt like this before. I think one of my apps we're triggering this. Perhaps the SD Maid?
Try clean cache from the settings search for on every apps that could be relative with the music app so if this doesnt work reboot in recovery and wipe cache partition if this doesnt work try an other programm from play store and if you have the same problem reflash stock rom using odin !!!

I use an i9506, and i tried flashing a few roms on it. However, cyanogenmod always caused a bootloop so I reverted back to an old backup. Then one day, I noticed that play store kept crashing. So I tried editing the hosts, wiping cache, even factory reset but Play store kept finding a way to srop working. Right now, my play store opens but crashes soon after and keeps on crashing until i wipe the data. The it repeats. Can anyone give me a solution?

Try doing a clean wipe, not factory wipe. Then re-flashing rom with the correct gapps.
Deleted data expunged
