Backup procedure for Darky upgrade

Hi,
Iam using i9000m with darkys rom 9.3 and i want to upgrade to 9.4. Iam kinda new into android and iam trying to find out if there is a way to backup all the applications and the saves of games. Is there a applications or a simple procedure how to backup and to restore everything. Hope something is out there which does it only 1-2 steps.

I've used this and it does a great job just ensure your contacts are synced via your google account and everything else should be fine.
could always use idrive lite to backup contacts as well

Awesome worked great.
It didnt backed up the data of my copilot like the maps.

flashing without loosing apps

Sorry, I am new and maybe this is a silly question. Can I flash a new rom without loosing my apps and their settings and my games and their saves ? Like backing-up all these.

If you are rooted use titanium backup from market, but the fact you asked this indicated you need to study more before you start flashing roms

hahaha. Thank you very much for your quick answer ! Maybe you are right. The fact is that I already flashed my phone 2-3 times but never interested in backing-up. On the other hand now, I have spent a lot of time with it and I do not want to loose my apps. Is there something specific I should do with titanium back-up ? or I just back-up with this app and then, after I flash, I restore ? ( sorry haven' t used it before )

Yeah you just backup before flashing, restore after. Bear in mind I don't think it is compatible between cm7/miui and samsung - based roms.

Well restoring app data can cause problems, but that is depending on what rom you are flashing to and from, and like any app you need to learn to use it I recommend paid version as it allows you to batch restore and backup

You may have problems with app data but I'm really not sure, you will know if you do because you will get a lot of fc of apps

Some games store their save files on the SD card (data or similar). So if you flash a new ROM, all you need to do is reinstall the game and you can start where you left.

ive never had any problems backing up and restoriing ONLY user downloaded apps between cm7, stock and miui using titanium. the only thing which would cause you problems would be restoring system apps..
if you wish to backup messages also and use them with other firmwares u could also use GoSMS, which has a backup function

Cm9 Ics media problem

I just installed the newest nightly of the cm9 mod was working great but once I ran a titanium back up every time I try to use the camera or go to the gallery I am getting an error that comes up: unfortunately, the process android.prosess.media has stopped does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Also I just noticed that when I try to check my gmail using gmail application it comes up with error box process gmail has stopped? Sorry I'm not able to comment on development forums yet so any help would be great thankyou

i think wipe data is highly recommended and it will fix every thing but remember to back up ur data and apps

Thank you I did a data wipe and factory reset through recovery it has fixed it and I found it was a saved setting in titanium backup that was still lingering from build 15 so I deleted the waved setting and restored my backup now working zealously

Serious problem, need some help!

when i open some apps its say "unfortunately the X (app name) has stopped", apps like asphalt 8, sports apps and more.
i dont know what the problem, maybe its about adfree or supersu?
when i wipe my data i dont have any problem, But I have no patience to install all over again.
please help? somebody!!

Apps aren't really comfortable with reinstatement through Titanium Backup if you've upgraded from 4.2.x to 4.3. The best way to do it is to install the apps through Play Store, and then restore Data only from TB.

Hello all,
I did a backup of just user apps on my stock ROM. I was able to apply the backup to Ellipse ROM no problem. When I try to apply it to Baja ROM it only shows 3 apps but there is 39. I try and point it to the correct folder where the backup is which is already shown. So what am I doing wrong. Is it possible that Baja doesn't support it or something?

It works fine on Baja ROM. Try clearing the app data for TiBu then point to your backup folder again and restart the app. Also make sure you have USB Debgging checked in Developer Options.
