Rom with AVRCP? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm sure this has been asked before but searching from the Tapatalk app can be pretty frustrating.
Are there any roms that support AVRCP? Thanks in advance

I have been trying liquid smooth, slimrom and purity. All don't work. I am looking for this feature also. Let me know if you found a rom that actually supports this...
I've heard that aokp might support this but I haven't tried it yet.

Help needed: Looking for a rom

Hey All,
I'm looking for a rom and having trouble figuring out which one will best suit my needs. Typically, I would just download a bunch of roms and try them out, but I'm stuck in China with a low data ceiling on a very slow connection for the foreseeable future. I really need to be like 80% sure before I download.
I've been running CleanRom since the summer, and that has been a great experience, but CleanRom is no longer being developed, so I'm no longer up to date.
I want something with integrated tablet mode, and I would like something with a volume slider in the notification tray. Wifi toggle switch would also be ideal (I prefer not to use apps for these features). Aside from those features, I just need the most stable rom possible. Additional customization isn't necessary. In fact, pure stock outside of the features I listed would be great. And I'm obviously not looking for nightly builds. I want something to throw on here and leave on until the next Android update.
Does anyone know a rom that meets this criteria? If you have suggestions, I would love to hear them, and then I'll go read some threads.
I really appreciate the help.

Check CM10 with Tablet UI, it should fit the needs you are looking for.
I have been using it since last 4 days and its been stable. No issues yet.

Check Glazed Jellybean here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1796668
I've been running this rom since 1.1.2 and have been very pleased with it. My current setup is Glazed JB 2.0 with the included Franco kernel, and Nova Launcher Prime for a launcher. I'm also using Pimp My Rom 2.0 for additional tweaks, but from the sounds of it you may not even want that.
Good luck in your search.

Ivbeen looking at that one too, but the feedback seems to indicate that it might be more buggy. Have you had this experience?

You want a solid rom? Team EOS is going to be your best bet. Very minimal isnt loaded with a bunch of crap you wont use. Has its own toggles however are kind of an eyesore IMO. You could just use an app to do the same thing i recommend "Extended Controls" Its a dollar.. but well worth it. LOL reread your OP oops.. :S
Also if you have the pull down.. and swipe in the middle to either the right or the left.. it will swap the Date and clock to a volume slider on the left and a brightness slider on the right .
The only problem I've had with this rom is the oft mentioned error about invalid glazed 2.0 init.. and it's more of a minor nuisance than anything. Functionality does not seem to have a problem, and I'm sure the message has something to do with Glazed being based on a CM nightly.. a bad integer table entry perhaps. Either way, my overall experience has been great with this setup.. buttery fast, and buttery smooth.

Thanks for getting back to me on that. I've got a list of three I'm investigating. Trying out this CM10 kang first.
I've had very good luck with cm10. I've tried a few others but keep coming back to cyanogenmod. It's stable and has the features I want. On my Tablet I have many of them turned off, but it's nice for my phone. I

Best rom for dd?

I currently am running liquidsmooth 3.2. I just found out that the thread for that ROM has been closed as per OP's request. I would like to switch to a different ROM but based on current choices, I don't know which one would be the best for a daily driver in terms of stability and performance. You advice would greatly appreciated.
Carbon rom is made by many off the devs from Liquid
Bionic Rom is pretty stable , basically stock with bionic patches for krait.
Paranoidandroid ROM is the way to go!

Xylon ROM is one of the most stable roms out there. I would say any of the big name roms in the Original development section are pretty stable. Codefire, Xenon, anything else that isn't in beta.
I love Rasbeanjelly and MMuzzy myself.

+1 for PARANOIDANDROID
Basically any rom is good enough for a daily driver on this phone, I know its a Douchy answer but with a nexus its basically your opinion its not like we are using Roms on the next update with major bugs to be worked on lol

If you want something close to stock with some nice additions that add to the ROM I highly recommend MMuzzy. It's stock with the addition of clear all button for recently opened apps, T9 dialer, customizable quick settings, enhanced power menu and the addition to determine between H and H+ speeds. Other than that it is stock. But a good start for a first time ROM.

Rasbeanjelly is cool for me. But many roms are good dd if you test drive and fine tune!

Anyway to make the scrolling smooth?

I've had my Nexus 10 for 6 months and I love the crispy display and fast over all system, the only thing that intrigues me is the scrolling. I believe all sorts of browsing there's a delay when swiping from a page to another. Especially on the app drawer and Facebook app. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

Hello there!
If you look in to loading a custom kernel such as Ktmanta (which I recommend and use personally) I believe you will find the smooth scrolling you are looking for.

Cleanrom for a rock solid experience and fluid system. If you want features you can try aokp by mr robinson, or team eos for a basic rooted rom but still kept pretty slim and smooth.

Slimbean with Next Kernel .
fast,light,stablee

Slimbean official build 7 has really good battery life, the best of any rom i have tried. And there is a tablet mode mod you can flash for slimbean. It is on the slimbean thread somewhere, i will try to find it and post it here. Hope this helps

I've tried CM, AOSPA, PAC and finally SlimBean and combined with TabletUI, Xposed framework and Holo launcher the latter one is what I like most!
Eeehhhh. I use PAC-Man. It's not the most stable thing in the world, with it's occasional fast rebooting. But, I have never seen a ROM with as many customization options as this. Throw your favorite CM theme, and your favorite icon pack for Apex or Nova launcher, maybe play around with the transparency levels and colors on your Navbar and status bar, and then... Then you have a thing of beauty right there. I like it, even though it has it's quirks.

Stock CM runs like a train here. Default Android was sluggy and laggish but everything is now super fast. Never had a problem.

The one found at http://download.cyanogenmod.org/
I am using the 10.1.0 RC5. I think it's the overhead of all Samsung crap that can be found on the device that makes it move like a slug. (Alas, for me the speed was barely acceptable)

Looking for a "Best of both worlds" ROM.

I eventually got round to rooting my i9505 the other day and now I'm looking for an AOSP ROM that has the Samsung camera, video player and other useful apps. Has anyone seen anything among the numerous options available that offers this?
Cheers.

not gonna happen... best you'll manage is a touchwiz rom with JB domination theme...
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
So at very best, a GE ROM or even CM10.1 with the Galaxy camera APK that I've seen mentioned would be a good start!?!?
Sent via telepathy
I will leve that. To many good features are does not exist on custom Roms that are already available in the ugly and not usable touchwiz interface

And that's the only thing putting me off taking the plunge at the moment. I think I'll just start with getting some bloatware off there as it is and see how that goes.
Cheers.
