Hi, I'm on KK stock, rooted without custom recovery. I've changed some values in mixer_paths.xml to boost speakers, rebooted phone, and now it won't boot. I'm stuck after but animation on logo... It's there any way to fix this, maybe via an or something?

Changing xml on the phone can cause issues such as the one you are experiencing now and since you don't have custom recovery the only way is to go back to stock

I was trying to avoid that... You sure there is no other way?
When all else fails, use the LG flash tool to go back to stock. That's what I've learned.
Maybe there is some way to restore this file?

well like I said without custom recovery there is no way of flashing anything so the only way is to go back to stock
It's moments like these you notice how important custom recovery is...

I bought a phone pre rooted and everything. It was nice, but the problem is I am having trouble changing the recovery on the phone.
For a long time I had TWRP 2.6.3.4. I could not flash any recovery over it. I was finally able to flash TWRP 2.6.3.1 using the same method to get TWRP. At that point I'm still not able to flash a recovery over TWRP.
I just discovered "flashify" tonight where I had flashed the CWR image for the d800. Now I can't even boot into recovery. It acts like I have non. I can boot into android no-problem though.
When I use "flashify" or "Recovery Tools" they claim I still have TWRP 2.6.3.1.

Can someone please help me.
I too tried flashing CWM over TWRP using Flashify, but it didn't work, it still said I had TWRP. However, Flashify did work to revert back to Stock Recovery.
I still have the backup file of the Stock Recovery, I can upload it somewhere if you want to, then maybe you can install CWM.
I have a D802 myself, not sure if my backup would work with your D800 though. but if you're adventurous...

I was able to get back a version of TWRP following this: http://theunlockr.com/2013/11/03/flash-custom-recovery-lg-g2-versions-video/
Still don't know why I can't get other recoveries like CWR or why almost all versions of CM will fail to flash using TWRP
EDIT
I miss read you post. I thought you had a copy of TWRP. Go ahead and send the the stock recovery as that's one thing I have yet to try..

Well now I'm not sure if it's a good idea. Even for custom recoveries there are different files to download for D800 and D802. I don't think my backup would be compatible with your variant.
If you want CM, try flashing Official Nightlies. I've heard they are stable. I flashed CM11 Nightly with TWRP 2.6.3.4 just fine. You can grab it for D800 here.

Mine never works. I think its a MD5 error or something. I can only get one version of CM running and I think it's 10.2, I assume my whole phone is just messed up. Not being able to flash CM or recoveries.
Try going back to stock and starting over? Did you by chance take the 10o ota? That seems to be causing issues for others.

Hey,
Can someone explain to me how I can tranfer a TWRP back up from my PC to my LG G2 D802 using adb sideload?
I got an OTA and updated, now I get a constant TWRP bootloop and don't have a back up.
I was running the 4.4.2 LG KK rom with custom recovery and root : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2681205
I want to place my TWRP back up of my rom, so I can use this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2659231.
I removed the back up from my phone because it was 4 gb large, hovewer I also do not have enough room to place this back up.
So:
I have to remove some files so I have enough place to place my back up file, so I can restore my phone.

ok first that is not a tutorial that is someone else with the same problem as you and if you would have read through he stated restoring a backup didn't and I can confirm that restoring a backup will not do anything I suggest you try this and if that doesn't work check to see if download mode is working so that you can use the back to stock thread in the general section

Man, thank you so much for taking your time to help me.
I do have a couple of questions:
1) When I revert to stock am I returing to the state when I bought my phone thus jellybean so I will be able to upgrade to 4.4.2 with custom recovery ?
2) Am I than able to restore my nandroid back up of the previous ROM?
AS I STILL HAVE TWRP:
1) Would it not be easier to transfer the roms and files needed from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2681205
and just flash them in the same proces?
2) Would it not be easier to just flash another custom rom like pacman or paradroid using ADB Sideload, as I read in many cases that flash tool stops during the process ?

You can restore to stock 4.2 or 4.4 it's up to you and the kdz you download, if you restore to 4.2 after rooting and getting recovery you will be able to restore your previous nandroid, if you decide to go to 4.4 then root and recovery are available but to restore your 4.2 nandroid you would need to flash the in baseband too, it would be easier to and flash but that wouldn't get you out of recovery the moment the phone tried to ota it creates a dev block(temporary partion) which holds on to the ota file so that it can be installed/flashed the with the phones stock recovery and the only way to get rid of it is by flashing stock kdz

Okay I get what you're saying, flashing stock is the way to go
Flash back to 4.4 and than apply root and custom recovery with the AutoRec – KitKat Recovery Installer
Btw to apply method 3 as you suggested:
do I have to put my phone in dowload mode or just on during the lg logo ?
Those are my only questions I still have left.

I dit it ! It worked due to your instructions thank you so much !!
I could not get into Download mode because the phone kept rebooting, the trick is to keep on pressing the volume down and the middle button until the phone completely shuts down and does not reboot.
Try it this way.
Can you the best way to root my device so I can perfom a custom recovery with autorec?

The weird thing is that only my settings were kept, I just lost root en Custom recovery.
I rooted the phone, everything was going good. I was playing with Exposed and I wanted to remove soft keys. I found a post to edit build.prop and I did not back up build.prop before i tried to edit it and all went all from there.
Now When i turn it on i get it booted up but it says unfortunately androidsystem.ui has stopped and wont go any farther,
I am running 4.4.2 stock rom, After this I did a factory reset hoping this to fix the problem...This did not fix it lol.
I am afraid I can not ADB it now as I do not have developer options and USB debugging....
Anyway to edit Build.prop from the computer?
if not how do i fix this?
Thank you!

First off, brick means it's as functional as a fired clay brick.
Second. ADB from recovery. If you don't have a custom recovery, factory reset.

I don't think a factory reset would help since it only wipes data and cache. He said he already tried one without success.
If you have a custom recovery installed, you have a couple of options. If adb is working, you can pull/push a fixed build.prop. Or you could find a stock build.prop and create a flashable zip for it.
If you don't have a custom recovery, as far as I know you're pretty much stuck having to flash a factory image, which means you'll lose all your data because your internal storage will be wiped.

I was wondering, Can i install custom recovery now?
Keep in mind this is my second LG G2, The first one I COMPLETELY bricked it and it wont power on, no LG image, No charge, no download mode nothing. I do not want that again as it is a paper weight now lol.

I have the Verizon version so I can't speak for others, but you only need to downgrade to the 4.2 bootloader to install the recovery and then you can go back to the 4.4 bootloader. I used AutoRec which does it all for you automatically. But at this point I don't think you'll be able to flash a custom recovery, as you either need adb access or the ability to install an apk.
Here's the guide for flashing the factory images: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
I suggest trying the TOT method first if your variant is supported
Thank you,
I believe I will trade to flash stock rom again and root from 4.4.
Wish me luck.

Before this I flashed Kitkat Prime. For some reason I have lost root. I am trying to reinstall a proper recovery for the L7 so I can properly flash another rom or go to stock. Can anyone please help me with this? Thanks.

Hmm... I think I'd tried a hard reset with the hardware buttoms, if not I'd tried to install a stock room in download mode. Then, you can try it (root, recovery, flashing) again.

Flash throught fastboot
Okay so i have a few questions here its been a while since i have placed a Rom onto my device the last one was a Sprint model of the G2 and i was able to successfully install CM12 nightly onto it.
With my T-Mobile G2 i had used the once click root application to do so and used auto rec from the app store to install TWRP recovery hopefully i didn't do anything wrong at this point. So now i try to boot into recovery using the power and the down key at the same time but when i did this i was prompted with do you want to reset all data or not and i of course i chose no and booted back home.
Yes i have Super Su with granting access so to solve this minor problem. I had the quick boot application here to boot into recovery but another problem persisted. I cant flash anything over it fails every time and i am trying to flash 5.1.1 cm 12 i think with gapps with 5.1 i believe but in doing so still failed it matched up and everything. I thought that maybe i was trying to flash something that's really not compatible with my phone so i tried to use the same rom but different carriers.
It was cm-12-20150406-NIGHTLY-D801.zip and gapps-lp-20150222-signed but still failed to install the rom? is there something im doing wrong? May i have a tutorial step by step on what to do to successfully flash? and why cant i boot into recovery with the button configuration did i do something wrong with that i just want to so that if theirs a boot load epidermic and i need to use that to restore and see what the problem is? just need help please

There's no way anyone can read that without any punctuation marks or any paragraph order.
Basically, the data reset function doesn't work when you have a custom recovery, that's how you enter it. But the TWRP version installed is usually old, somewhat like 2.7.0.0, so you need to update it before installing any roms.
If you really do have recovery installed when you get to the screen about erasing data just choose yes and yes and it will just take you to recovery. If that's too scary for you then just boot into recovery using an app like rebooter from the play store.
As far as flashing it sounds like you may have downloaded bad files. If you're using your phone to download the roms maybe try using a pc then transferring to your phone. And DON'T flash roms for a different carrier, you're just asking for trouble.

The problem might be that you are on the wrong bootloader so v30 lollipop. As loki and bump don't work on it it will result into an failed flash. What you can do is flash the right bootloader or easily downgrade bootloader and bootstack with autorec for your phone. Read carefully which one you need for your tmobile d801. If there is an loki error then just flash the jellybean bootloader what you easily can do with autorec.

Well you download the right version for your d801
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=13763
Then you need to install it
Click on the lollipop and let it do its job. If it asks for root then allow it.
It will probably reboot and you are done. Only need to flash then a newer recovery. Also search bender_007 on xda and leave him a thanks perhaps for his app

Well, as far as I know autorec downgrades to jb bootloader, to boot into stock you could find d801 lp modem and d801 lp bootstack/bootloader as it might need kk bootloader

With cm12 I am not sure but the cause could be perhaps the wrong modem, and or bootloader. I also suggest to check out newer custom roms the only cyanogenmod as some custom roms are already running on lollipop modem and caf. CAF is code aurora forum so kinda it will also have changes specifically for qualcomm devices.
