(D800) AT&T G2 LTE signal issue?? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all,
I recently picked up a D800 LG G2 (second hand)
and I believe I have some issues with the phone not picking up LTE so easily.
Before this, I had Iphone 5, nexus 4, G Pro, Gnote2, etc... and they all picked up LTE just fine at my home
However, G2 rarely picks up LTE signal and it is mostly on HSPA+ (4G Icon) I believe.
I took it into AT&T store to see if I could get a new sim card but when I got there, the phone picked up LTE no problem.........
However, at locations where full bar LTE connection was available with other phones, the G2 still stays on HSPA+..
Looks like many Sprint users are experiencing same issue.. is there a fix for this??
*The phone is currently on stock / non-rooted 4.4.2
Thank you in advance!

[Q] Having issues with LTE on GS4 GPE

Hello! I recently bought a Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition. I'm coming from an HTC One. On the One, I had pretty good LTE reception, but I put my sim card into the gs4 and I have not seen it get more than one bar. Every now and then, it goes to 4-5 bars with an H instead of lte.
I spoke with an ATT rep and he said he doesn't see any possibility other than the GS4 is not as good as the One with picking up LTE. That sounds kind of strange to me. Is that really a likely scenario?
Also, I'm not rooted. Just a plain ole GS4 GPE.
Thank!

[Q] Can my Verizon LG G2 V980 on T-Mobile?

As the title, Wondering if my LG G2 Verizon will work on T-Mobile network, I see here and there about this on the internet, but I figure
I'd ask on XDA . So far I hear I'll lose out on LTE, but HSPA is good, which is good enough for me.
Also Verizon LG G2 comes unlocked, if true, Do I pop in my T-Mobile SIM, and out the box working?
I'm interested in this as well. I tried my tmobile sim in a coworkers G2 and it worked on LTE, but I just bought one and tried it and it's showing Roaming and HSPA.

[Q] Changing 4g icon for LTE

Hey guys, so this is what's happening with my phone: I have a SIM unlocked LG G2 D801 (it's a Claro PR phone, but it's basically the same as Canadian's version D801 from Wind mobile). Thing is, since Wind Mobile has no LTE, the icon in these rom variants are nowhere to be found (I DO get LTE, but the icon reads 4G). The Claro PR stock rom one had LTE but I had to refllash using the LG software, and the damned thing flashed me a Wind rom... so you could say it's basically an aesthetics thing.
So the question would be, where do I have to go or what do I have to change in the phone to swap out the 4G icon for a LTE one? Thanks in advance!

[Q] Will a phone purchased abroad work on UK 4g?

Afternoon all,
I have an LG G2 32GB that I purchased from a website that operates out of Hong Kong (I forget which). I've got a 4G SIM however can't get a 4G signal, even in areas where I know others do on the same network. Before I start talking to O2, could the problem be a phone purchased abroad like this might not be able to use UK 4G?!? Is there a way I can check?
Thanks
nick
if your phone is LG G2 D802 Model , 4G should work

It says that model on the back. I've got the sim in at the moment and still no 4g in another place that I should get 4g and still no 4g.
If I go to network settings and look at preferred network types it only lists gsm and wcdma, should it not also lost lte?

Thanks this worked like a charm. When I set it to gsm/wdcma/lte I get 4g. Only slight draw back is when I'm in the office the 4g signal is a lot weaker so the phone defaults back to a 3g signal. However if I set it to LTE only I get a decent enough 4g signal, only problem with that is I can then no longer take calls! So set it to LTE only then back to gsm/wdcma/lte and 4G seems to stick.
Thanks again for your help
@nickhopkins07 can I ask what was your model number? D800 or D802?
I'm finally thinking of buying the G2 as its still an amazing phone and can buy a brand new 32GB for around £200 from abroador for the same price a used UK model. Because I believe the D802 is the EU model so should work without any problems in the UK.

[Q] Which LG G2 variant will work with metropcs without any problems?

Hello guys, Newbie here, i'm currently looking to buy an LG G2 for my girlfriend and would like to know which variant has 4G LTE on metropcs, because i noticed that people have issues with unlocked ATT models, but the international version doesn't have the frequencies that metropcs works on, so any help? i noticed that the Verizon is the most likely and it also has Qi wireless charging, so any help please?

Well MetroPCS has been gobbled up by T-Mobile, and they're shutting down their CDMA network and going all GSM (T-Mobile frequencies), so the T-Mobile version would be your best bet.
