No problem bro. Just download and flash the Indian firmware DDLK2 (not DDMD1 because it contains a lot of bugs). I also encountered this problem a few months ago alongwith UC Browser Mini FCing when opening any webpages. It was solved automatically after a month or so. So I hope this also happens in your case.
We do not provide support for banned roms.

Hey guys
I'm running the P1000JXJJ1, FroYo JPJJ2 firmware on my Tab, and samfirmware states P1000JVJL1 is the latest one !
so I was advised NOT to use KIES, and ODIN was better !!
My tab is rooted with OCLF set, Just a quick question, Odin will delete all my data and also I believe that I'd have to re-ROOT the device right?
another question is since I didn't have market out of the box, the product sales code has been changed to XSG.
thanks a lot guys in advance
Cheers
Jackie
if u use oclf, undo oclf b4 update firmware, kies or odin works fine for me, i'll only use odin when i screw up with my tab
and will I have to re root the device and also will ODIN delete all my data?
Hi,
searching for something else I accidentily found this thread.
Maybe my experince might be of any interest: got the galaxy tab 3 days ago, installed KIES and instantly got a message to update the firmware to Froyo JK5. I followed the suggestion to save my data which I regret later, because it took very long (had already copied a lot of videos to the internal sd) and couldn´t stop it. To cut it short:
the update was successful and nothing deleted, just everything in place. Also synchronized Outlook contacts, though at 96% it got stuck - waited a few minutes, then broke up and all contacts had been transferred fine.
(don´t know, if firmware is different for other countries...)
Odin will not delete your data if you did not choose to repartition, no need to use pit file to repartition if you are just upgrading fw from the same region..safest is still via KIES
To correct some mis-information from above. Flashing with Odin can delete your data, it depends on what components are included in the image you flash. If you flash an official ROM with Kies you should not loose your data but there is always a risk of an issue occurring during any flash that could lead to data loss. Unless you flash a pre-rooted custom ROM you will loose root and SU during a flash. These can be re-applied easily to the SGT using the Super One-Click method.
Redardless of what flashing method you use, if you use RyanZA's OCLF you must undo the lag fix before you flash, otherwise you will certainly loose data and possibly end up with a corrupt system that won't boot (I had first hand experience of this early on in my flashing days with my SGS!). You shouldn't really need to apply a lagfix to the SGT as it doesn't seem to suffer from the same lag as the SGS.
Finally, flashing with Odin can lead to product code being changed, especially if the ROM you flash isn't intended for the normal product code of your device. There are various ways to restore your poduct code, look in the Samsung Galaxy S forums for suggestions on how to do this as the basic construction of the ROMs is very similar between the two devices from that point of view. Also, be aware that people with SGS devices have reported loosing their IMEI while flashing with Odin. If this happens you will end up with a WiFi only device unless you backed up your /efs folder before you flashed. There's lots of info in the SGS forums about this and it's worth a read if you are new to flashing. I haven't heard of anyone with a SGT loosing their IMEI yet but it's worth taking precautions.
Happy flashing folks!!
thanks a bunch guys, I'm now running the latest version !!
was just trying to install the latest gingerbread theme from the forums !! will let you all know how that went

Go to the Android Development section.
Look up Overcome and BOCA for the Galaxy Tab. Both a great however I prefer BOCA. The current release is 2.3.4 but 2.3.7 is in the works.
If you follow the instructions for BOCA you will have a GTab that feels like it was newly born again.

Yes. Follow the instructions on the magrathea site or overcome
Use overcome instructions to instal stock GB 5. It tells you the pit and modem to use for your tab.
Then install the overcome kernel and reboot. It will root the tab and format the storage.
Then you install the Boca zip over the overcome kernel.
If you just want overcomes Rom follow their instructions. They make it simple
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
is that all??hmm,
will try donload all the files 1st,then i will try
thanks guyz for da info..
so i dont need to flash stock rom like i always do with my SGS before installing any custom rom?

I suggest you should try to flash official firmware through odin. Since the guy said he already flashed 4.4.2 then you could try to flash yourself again 4.4.2. If he or you successfully flash it, official/stock kernel should not be an issue. Follow Khizar's guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51601704.
Find the firmware at sammobile for your country/carrier
I tried out another ROM on my spare phone in the hope of gaining more space, but I have decided to go back to the stock ROM, and install LINK2SD.
I've got several identical phones, so should I backup a ROM from one of them and restore it on the flashed phone? If not, how do I choose the best ROM from the Galaxy Y S5360 flashable firmware packages
thread?

The thread you have quoted is old and no longer in use
See my firmware thread at the top of the dev section or by clicking the link in my signature & selecting the appropriate thread
There is also a guide on my thread which tells you about Samsung firmware codes - Just select the one from your region
Thanks again Marcus.
It would be really useful if some outdated posts could be culled..
Flash your stock firmware through odin.
There is no bad choises, only bad results.

Hi guys
I recently moved to the note 4 910F from another device.
As I have always favored custom roms ( regardless if I was using a samsung or LG or another brand device ).
The problem I am facing now is that the xda Note4 forum seems to be incredibly messed up. There are literally tens of threads with useless information and whole new threads just for one download link or something.
If someone new like me comes to the Note 4 forum he will not know where to start. The previoux device I used had a beautifully organized XDA section.
Anyway. What I did until now was to flash :
1. flashed cf-root over the stock firmware and verified that it worked
2. installed busybox
3. tried to install TWRP as I have always used it . But , Their page said to make sure I have the correct bootloader installed.
So, I got back to the rom page that I wanted to use and the dev had links there for the correct bootloader and modem. Downloaded and flashed them with odin. Now my device was restarting every 1 minute or so and I no longer had any IMEI and baseband version was unknown
I fixed it by flasks the stock firmware with odin
Can you guys help me out with some correct information on how to be able to flash a custom rom ? I know how to root it but what bootloader do I need in order to install the custom recovery and flash a new rom ?
Thank you in advance.
Hello,
I don't know why my Samsung Galaxy Y, stopped suddenly from working. It restarted and since that day its still stucked on the samsung logo.
I checked on the net before posting this thread and I saw people advicing to hold the Home + volume (up) + On/Off button and try to do wipe data/factory reset.
I did that but nothing changed it still stuck.
Should I root it or there is another option ?
Which tutorial do you suggest me if I have to root it ? there are too many.
Where can I get a rom ? don't tell me sammobile please, because I need the french rom, I checked sam mobile and it's not free, I need something free and on sam mobile you should pay to get the ROM , i can post the link cuz i am a new member but if you go to sammobile and you add /firmwares/galaxy-y/GT-S5360/XEF/ you will find that you should pay to get it.
don't samsung has a free site to download all roms ?
Do you suggest me a custom or original rom ? Are customs roms safe ? I prefere to start by original one, but can you tell me what custom rom may give me as advantage.
Thanks a lot to any of you who can help me

The site UpDato has lots of stock ROMs, which you can try flashing e.g. with Odin.
https://updato.com/
Custom ROMs can breathe new life into old hardware. They often have minor (sometimes major) bugs, so it's a matter of trying them out to find one that suits. (I don't suggest experimenting with your main phone as you might end up bricking it.)

I couldn't get my Galaxy Y to work using the Stock ROM for my region even after flashing with Odin several times. The correct ISP logo appeared but wouldn't go further. Also the Android Stock recovery would overwrite both TWRP and CWM.
After trying a few Custom ROMs I settled on: [ROM][CM11][4.4.4][Port]Xperia Honami Material Themed ROM Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 which can be found at:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-y/development/rom-material-xperia-themed-rom-samsung-t3268818
At first the ROM was exceeding slow to boot and the GSM phone wouldn't work although WiFi worked well and I could connect to the internet. Both the slow boot and the GSM phone were fixed by getting the correct modem and CSC for my region by unpacking the Stock ROM using Odinatrix (because 7zip and others couldn't) then flashing the CSC and Modem files using Odin. Also a SIM card had to be installed.
The phone now works like a charm, better than ever before. There are just few improvements to make it brilliant (to my eyes at least). This is a great Custom ROM - my thanks to the developer(s)!
