How many of you overclocked their processor? I only do it before I play Asphalt 8. I find it Really useful

Currently I have a Hauwei U8800, hence my choice of the forum category to post in. As mainstream is the Adreno 205 GPU, it's bottlenecking my 1.6Ghz OC Scorpion CPU (800Mhz Stock) a lot! I'm using N64oid v2.6.3, but it's just not good enough. Is there a better emulator or GPU overclocking app? I'm really dissapointed...

Please post all questions in the Q&A section
N64oid is, as far as I know, currently the fastest emulator. I got halfway through the Deku tree using Oxygen at constant 1.2 GHz, if I remember correctly. Performance wasn't game-breaking, in my opinion.
Which ROM are you running? You could try a different one. I've tried a few and usually run an Antutu benchmark; I remember being particularly awed by the 3D performance of the CM7 ROM in this thread: http://forum.donanimhaber.com/m_57121700/tm.htm (use Google Translate if Turkish is Greek to you, like me)
I don't know why that particular version has such good 3D performance or whether or not it's just the libs it's using, but give it a try.
I don't really wanna flash 4 the third time but thanks

Please share your X10 compatible games here and how to install them, such as :
Racing Games (NFS, Ridge Racer)
Shooting (NOVA2, GTA)
Adventure
etc?
AND Which Rom and Kernel you are using - how much Overclock - and how it runs
Temple run working on all Stock roms - and kernels. On some Roms a bit laggy - but all in all playable - you neccessarilly don´t need overclock.
Asphalt 5 running on FERALABS v 18 - Half overcloked (1,13 ghz) on Doomkernel very smooth.

So My N4 graphics when I play A7 it's look like crap. It's like playing minecraft. Someone please help
You should search for minecraft graphics mod. I have seen minecraft graphics that look better than Crysis 1.
This method supposedly works on Nexus 7, but you can try it on a Nexus 4. I think you needed to be rooted to access the file.

You can flash a custom kernel and tweak thermal throttling in it.
It may help you. Also you can overclock your gpu through custom kernels.
*Flashing a custom kernel will not wipe your data or any setting..So you can give it a try..There is no harm.
So i was wondering for hours what are the most common or better most preferred rom and kernel configuration and their settings for gaming(not benchmarks) most people using for smooth gameplay and for what games. So i decided to create a thread for everyone to post their personal config on gaming.
So i will start:
I use cleanrom 2.6 with latest elementalx with stock values and gboost enabled and deadline
i get some lags playing modern combat 4 and other heavy games.I could never achieve a steady framerate. Can you recommend something? Im also a little afraid of oc :silly:
So whats your benches on gaming on your roms or kernels?
P.S. Gameloft Sale!
Following games are 0.99 cents:
Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour
9mm
The Amazing Spiderman
Order and Chaos Online
The Adventures of Tintin
Gangstar Vegas
The Dark Knight Rises
sorry for oot, but try install 'heroes of order and chaos'. It's free and good game. Can you pls give feedback whether it runs smooth or laggy, because I want to buy nexus 7
I'm currently using stock ROM w/ ElementalX kernel 2.6. CPU @ 1.7Ghz, GPU @ 490Mhz.
I've yet to find any Android games that don't run smoothly and I also have no problems emulating PSP, DS, PSX or N64 (some 64 run a little slower but still playable at 20-30 FPS).
P.S. thanks for the heads up on GL sale items, looks like its time to jump into Order and Chaos.

Hello guys, i tried to find some stable, gaming rom for SGY but i didn't found it. I'm looking for stable w/o "Force Close" and w/o lag rom. i saw on youtube ppl playing really cool games like GT-Racing, on my stock rom can't install or "Force close" so if anyone got some stable gaming rom answer please.
There is no such thing as a best or most stable rom
the galaxy y 5360 was not designed for hd games - are you sure you wasnt watching a video of the new galaxy y
anyway there are loads of roms in the dev section - none will cause a force close of any game legally downloaded from the play store
as this is a best rom thread which is against xda rules I shall report for closing
Yes i'm sure, i can't still post link on site but you can check on youtube.
Graphics is low but still its hd game. On play store I can't play any racing game.Sad
and alot more hd games playing on SGY.. search for them.
they use chainfire3d to reduce texture quality
anyway like I said there is no best rom so this thread isnt needed

There is no gaming rom.. Just root your phone install chainfire 3d and reduce the graphics quality
.Also a custom kernel can help so you can set your cpu to performance so the game runs smoother
Mod Edit
"Best" or "Recommend" ROM/kernel threads are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion, and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.
Don't forget to make a nandroid before you start.
