Samsung needs to tell us clearly what is what with the Note 2. If someone wants to buy an International Note 2, from say UK, and not wait till Nov., will the Note 2 from UK work on ATT with LTE? Why can't Samsung publish the radio bands for the International Note 2? I have looked at numerous websites and some list LTE and others don't, and overseas LTE radio bands appear different than ATT, as an example.It would seem we should be told what is what, so all can clearly understand what device to buy from where, if one wants LTE. I don't have on original Note, but have on S3, and totally a requirement going forward. LTE is so much much faster than 3G that I don't want to buy a Note 2 if it isn't capable of LTE that works on ATT. I rather wait till mid Nov. and get directly from ATT than get 6 weeks sooner, if it only has 3G. Perhaps I will just wait to be sure, but seems straightforward question that easily can be answered and published by Samsung.
Maybe I have missed something, but I can't find any definitive info regarding this LTE subject. Samsung needs to communicate.

Additional examples, Clove UK specs say nothing about 4G LTE, yet Negri Electronics specs calls out 4G LTE...and on and on......Handtec in UK spec does call out 4G LTE, and we know Handtec and Clove UK will be getting the same device. Handtec spec:

There sure is conflicting info everywhere.
N7100 is non LTE,
N7105 has LTE
The galaxy s3 I9300 has no LTE
While their I9305 model does have LTE
Look for the 05 to identify the LTE model. Now whether a European LTE model will work in The USA or vice versa is another headache

That is the million dollar question, will the N7105 LTE model work on the LTE carriers here in the USA.
If it does that would be awesome.
I am also slightly peeved about this. Then again, it's not like I will have it in my hands the moment I know the LTE bands. According to the Engadget article it states no "US-FRIENDLY" LTE bands, which may no imply the device not having LTE altogether.
I would suspect the LTE version sold outside America will have LTE 800/900/1800/2100/2600 (meaning it will work perfectly on all LTE networks in Europe and almost everywhere else in the world) and then America will have their own versions that support your (AT&T for GSM version) 700MHz LTE band.

There are at least 5 different versions if not more. Although it is LTE capable, the version sold for England does not have a LTE chip, The German one does but it will not work on ATT. There are no LTE networks in Europe that I know about compatible with ATT LTE bands. If you buy one in Europe plan on using 3G and 2G on ATT. Make sure it has these bands:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
ATT uses 850 and 1900 for 2G and 3G. You need both.
To use ATT LTE you need a chip for this:
LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 1700 / 2100.

You need to confirm LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 2100 is on board the model they are selling you. There are a lot of different versions and not all have LTE chips and the ones that do have LTE chips for different areas. There is a CDMA version that US Cellular has up for preorder.
apparently there is a bunch of Gnote II types...this is just confusing why wouldnt they just have a 4g for all?

I hate looking at mobile phone websites the first thing you see is iphone5! Then search for phones coming soon and galaxy note 2 isn't even there!
Samsung needs to get their marketing sorted 4 days to go and nobody knows for sure wtf going on. Carriers are equally to blame for lack of information.
I spend 50% of my time in the US and 50% of my time in Canada and have a contract with both AT&T and with Rogers.
I am going to buy the S4 soon. Should I get the SGH-I337 variant with AT&T or the SGH-I337m variant with Rogers?
In about 14 months, I will be back in Canada (on Rogers) permanently. So far, I am leaning towards the AT&T variant due to greater rom availability, but I am worried about whether the S4 will work on Rogers 3G bands and LTE network.
The reason I am worried is that I am currently using an unlocked Sprint BB Tour 9630 Quadband on Rogers with specs:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 2100
CDMA/EVDO Rev A 800/1900
And the Roger's EDGE network barely functions on that phone (many disconnects).
I am a little unfamiliar with network bands, but can you let me know if the phone's 3G radio and LTE radio are identical across Rogers and AT&T?
I read somewhere that Rogers S4 uses 2600 MHz LTE Band and AT&T uses 700 MHz LTE. Is this true? Or does this phone have both LTE bands built in?

It's pretty frustrating in 2014 that Samsung *still* appears to be forcing regional divisions on its customers; especially when the Nexus 5 has already proven that support for many different regional frequency bands can be included in a single device.
There's no reason for it whatsoever except to inflict artificial restrictions on where customers can buy, and where they can use a phone. If I buy a phone outright I expect to be able to use it anywhere. If I travel, why should my original carrier dictate who I can get coverage from?

Try to get the S5 Google Play edition. Google Play edition smartphones and tablets are carrier unlocked and unbranded. Instead of having a massive Verizon 4G LTE logo, or a phone that only works on AT&T bands, buying from the Play Store you’ll receive a completely untethered smartphone. The Galaxy S4 Google edition works on AT&T, T-Mobile, and around the world. There’s no contract required, and you can use it on a variety of carriers in the US, and abroad. So, I think, the S5 will work the same or better.

That sounds reasonable and logical, but is that really the case? What were the hardware specs of the S4 GP edition? Wasn't it just an unbranded SGH-1337- which then has no LTE support on T-Mobile or anywhere outside North America?
What I'm looking for is a device that is universal around the world, or around the country (US/Canada/Europe/Asia). I want a phone that (like the the N5) for example won't be kneecapped to HSPA or vanilla GSM when I travel to Europe, Japan, China or Hong Kong; or if I switch carriers within Canada. The N5 claims to support over half a dozen LTE bands, ensuring it can find one supported in essentially every region. Samsung still appears to be trying to artificially partition markets by radio and other features, much like many electronics manufacturers do with artificial trade barriers like region-encoding on DVDs, Blu-Rays or video games.

You should really read the specs of the phone before posting wrong information.
S4 GE won't support LTE abroad. LTE will only work on AT&T and T-mobile.
S5 GE is not yet even announced.

There is no such phone.
N5 of North American edition doesn't work on LTE in Europe. Neither N5 of European edition works on LTE in the US.
NA and EU LTE bands are different.

I'm not going to get any carrier renewal benefit, so I'm just going to have to pay full freight for this phone. So since I'm paying full price, I might as well get the best phone. I want a 32GB version (have the 32gb s4), that does LTE in NA. I'd rather not get an AT&T phone (locked bootloader crap that has forced me to get repairs on my own dime on my phone so I don't get a locked version from the mothership).
Sounds like the GP version is best, then I can slap it on At&T network, any other ideas? The Rogers S4s seems to have so many issues with ROM upgrades and such... So painful!

It would have been better if you started a new thread.
To answer your question, the 900F shares most of the LTE bands that Rogers uses. So assuming that your 900F is provisioned for Rogers LTE.. yes you will get Rogers LTE data. The 900F does not support Rogers LTE bands B4/17 (or 3G B4), but they are not much used yet, so you shouldn't incur any gaps in coverage.
In the future you may miss B17 more as it is new and uncongested spectrum that just rolled out in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto. And being a low frequency is particularly good at penetrating into buildings. But for the moment, you'll be good.

My G9008W work perfectly in France with LTE with band 1800 and 2600
But it seem that it has no B20 (800Mhz), but i am not sure ...
It work also in 3G (900 and 2100) and 2G, of course
Just ont think: unlike the Galaxy S4 Duo, it is not dual active, only one sim in communication at a time ...

I have Samsung S5 G900F and i am using it in pakistan with Warid LTE Sim but i did not seen auto connect menu for LTE where as i am able to use LTE perfectly with hidden Service Mode. any body can guide me how i can get aut connect Menu for LTE without Rooting my phone.

No 4G on OPO in India
I thought of buying one, but seeing that it uses FDD LTE instead of TD, 4G will not work on this device in India.
WIND Mobile in Canada uses AWS Bands 1700/2100 in Canada. This phone is compatible with 4G 2100 as it shows, but not 1700. Do you think I will have 4G connectivity? Or 3G?

Well, yes and no. I brought back 3 Chinese OPO from Beijing, and flashed the first via fastboot while transiting in Tokyo - that one would NOT work in any of the Japanese carriers (using two different SIM - Fido from Canada and TuneTalk from Malaysia) while Samsung Galaxy S3 worked fine. The second one I flashed once back in Canada via the standard recovery method as described by GizChina, and that one does not work on AWS band when tested with Wind Mobile SIM while Fido & Speakout SIMs worked awesome
Given my Japanese experience I'm not inclined to think the fastboot flash is any better than standard recovery flash

Has anyone using the OPO on ATT and have no problems with 4G LTE?
I heard some people got it to work but then when it looses LTE connection it doesnt drop to 3G so the connection is lost or the call is dropped.
Please let me know if anyone has this situation happening.

Will this S5 work with wind/mobilicity in Canada? Its has the 1700/2100 frequency but it is listed under LTE. Now wind/mobilicity have 4g not LTE. But it is on 1700/2100.

Wind Canada uses the sm-g900w8 model on AWS. If you want to try using another variant model, you have to check if it supports the same frequency bands or not. Have a look on Samsung's web site for the other model and find out.

Anyways it is this model: Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900A
HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100; LTE 700 / 850 / 1700 / 1800 / 1900 / 2100 / 2600
Now this supports 1700/2100 which is used by wind/mobilicity but they dont have LTE. Will it work?
