Hello,
I would do it like that.
1. Download zip file of the rom you want (CloudyFlex 1.4)
2. Check first page of the thread where u downloaded ur rom.
3. Read everything carefully and if there is nothing wrote about to flash baseband then u dont have to.
4.Follow flashing instructions
5.Enjoy

4.2.2 files are listed here not as .zips though. these are complete stock so you would have to reroot after the fact. Directions are also listed in how to perform the stock flash

Hey guys, is it possible to flash CWM via stock recovery using update.zip method and then flash a custom ROM for example finless, from what I've read this isn't possible because finless resizes the partitions can this not be done with CWM? And what custom roms are available that will flash directly via CWM or must first custom ROM be flashed via OTG?
Thanks in advance guys!

I flashed cwm that way and it worked on my mk809ii. Then flashed superSU in cwm and that's as far as I've got, not flashed another rom yet...

Thanks for the info which version of CWM did you flash? Does it have the partition int /ext sd card option?
Sent from my N7100
I flashed this one:
http://files.androtab.info/rockchip/rk3066/20130213/MK809II_CWM.zip
Not sure if it has that option, will check when I'm back home...

I'm still waiting on my 809 to be delivered I already have that CWM thanks and the option should come under advanced
Hopefully if I'm right a PC won't be needed to flash finless first time

I'm currently looking at this thread considering flashing a finless ROM with cwm:

Thanks for the link sounds like CWM was thrown together and resize partitions isn't implemented properly oh well trial and error here I come lol

Yes, for now I'm just happy I was able to flash cwm and root without a windows PC - I'll be trying out leolas instructions for flashing finless 1.7a or 1.7b via cwm (haven't decided yet). Will be sure to post my results...

Let me know how it goes and which ROM works best
Sent from my N7100
Will do. I'm basically pretty happy with the stick just stock rooted for my main purpose (HD media player) but I would enjoy more space for apps and getting a bit more performance out of the hardware so I'll inevitably be trying to flash finless in the days ahead...

Hmm used the update.zip method and seems it's bricked, just black screens after 2 penguins flashing the cwm zip you linked to

Hello
Did you manage to unbrick the MK809II ?
If so can you tell me how did you do it ?
Thanks
Have you tried the mk808 unbrick method, think the reset switch on the 809ii does the same as shorting in the nand

Alright ive kinda hit a wall im not sure what i can do i can't seem to get my s4 to flash to any custom roms. just picked it up it came with the latest MF9, ive followed the instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2257101 to get root access and to install twrp. i can get it all to install just fine and have verified that i have root access. but once i flash a custom rom ie. CM 10.1 or even Slim mod either through goomanager it will say it installs successfully but once it reboots the new rom splash screen shows up and just sits there forever spinning and it never goes any further.
ive even restored my device to factory and unrooted the device and im still unable to get any roms to load up. am i missing anything that someone might be able to point out
heres the steps ive tried or gone thru
1. CF-autoroot via odin
2. install Twrp or CWM either thru odin or their manager aps
3. copy rom and gapps to sd card
4. boot to recovery and try to install
5. get stuck at splash screen!!!!
You probably need to install a compatible kernel. If the Rom doesn't include one that's the problem.

If you want a good aosp rom try this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43120823 it is very stable and awsome except there aren't much customization options update your recovery first then wipe data, system, and cache then flash the rom. Use this as a backup rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2357471

There like a 99.99999% chance you won't brick going from odex to deodexed
So yes you can install Sacs ROM .

All you have to do is flash Phiz recovery via PC Odin to give you a custom recovery. Here's the tar
However if you own Mobile Odin PRO, and since you say you are rooted, you can flash the .tar through Mobile Odin PRO. [just make sure it's updated to latest version]; then select 'recovery' in the options then the .tar.md5 file.
Download Sac's latest on you PC check the md5sum and transfer to you externalSD card, boot to recovery and flash 4.3
Then follow Sac's install instructions. Especially important is the wiping procedure. rlmiller has a good writeup here.
Spend some time reading and searching through the OPs and follow-up posts and you'll do okay.
Good luck.
Did you get it up and running?

And if you wanna re odex it... DL titanium backup and hit menu then press "integrate dalvik into sys" then reboot!

Go to Philz thread for your phone.. In the FAQ he tells us how to get past that. It has to do with the updater script and alls you have to do is uncheck the option in recovery that says something like... Use old updater script... Something to that effect. Again read his FAQ and you'll see what I'm talking about.
I had the same thing happening with my phone just a few days ago and that fixes it.

Hey,
Recently I tried to flash PA Rom Beta (KK ROM) with CWM, and got the status 7 error - installation aborted.
Tried all the fixes that there is on the internet... Nothing works.
Tried to flash CM11 instead - same error, again.
Downloaded CM10.2 (JB ROM) and it works.
So I think that I'm not able to flash any KK 4.4 ROMs to my device.
Does it maybe have to be something with my Modem version, or the Recovery?
Help :crying:

I installed CWM Advanced Edition, but when I'm trying to enter it, i get "secure booting error"...
After a search, I found out that I need to flash the stock KDZ file for my device.
I've tried using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
But I'm getting an error that says "Please update R&D Tool" after choosing Upgrade Start. -_-
Is there maybe another tool that I can use for flashing the KDZ file?
Thanks a lot!
