Accidentally pressing capacitive buttons while locking screen - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello xda fellas,
Since i switched to a i9505g rom i have a problem with my lockscreen.
Almost everytime i lock my screen and put the phone on the table i accidentally touch the capacitive buttons what causes the display to turn back on.
It turns just back on if i hit the capacitive buttons 1-2 sekonds after locking the screen but its enought to turn the screen everytime back on and drain some battery juice.
Does anyone know how to disable the screen off blocking with the capacitive buttons?
Thanks in advance

[Q] Lock and screen on different timers?

Is there any way to set the screen timeout and the lock screen to have different timers? I'll be browsing the web currently and the screen will timeout. If I want it back I have to hit power and unlock the phone again. What I'm hoping for is a delay between the screen turning off and the phone relocking. That way if the screen turns off while I'm using it, all I have to do is tap the screen again.
Any ideas or apps that will do this?
Tasker can do that for you.

[Q] Strange Lock Button Behavior

Hi guys,
I've been using the Optimus 7 for a few months now and recently I noticed this strange behavior. When i pressed the power button immediately after I turned the screen off, the display still remains off. I had to wait for a few seconds, then press the power button to get the screen back on.
Does anyone notice this strange behavior? On other phones the screen just turns on/off immediately after the button is pressed.
I too. But I think it is normal...

There is a purposefully implemented 1-2 second delay. It is a "feature". HTC WP7 phones do this as well.

is it possible to disable that 1-2 second thing? Must be in the registry somewhere.

Application to turn on the screen without press any HD2 hard buttons

Hi
I am wondering if is it possible to have a application to turn on the screen without have to press the HD2 hard buttons. Like turn on the screen if you touch the screen for 5 seconds. Is there any application to do that, or is it possible to any developer do this ?
This is to save the HD2 hard buttons.
Thanks
no. if they did that then the phone would unlock in your pocket. touch screen is disabled when screen is off.

searched for another method to unlock the phone: Shake to unlock.
But found no app, that can do somthing like that with the stock lockscreen.
with Lockbot, which replaces your stock lockscreen there is a functionality that unlocks your phone, if you shake it.
Didn't tried it myself...
Thanks for the tips.
I will try the Lockbot, I put the results here.

Sometimes knock knock is unresponsive and when power button is pressed screen turn on

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and maybe found a fix. My LG G2 is stock with att software the phone is rooted. Sometimes it feels like the knock knock does not want to turn the screen on so I press the power button once and the screen comes on but only for about half a second then turns immediately off as if I pressed the power button again which I don't. This is becoming kind of frustrating. Like I said my g2 is stock with att and only rooted for trusted apps that I trust. I am also up to date on updates. Thank you

Maybe you're covering, or a screen protector or case, is covering the proximity sensor. Knock-on won't turn the device on with the proximity sensor covered.
Also, it's more reliable when it's more like a touch-touch, vs tap tap. Hold the finger on the screen just a bit longer than a quick tap.

Screen not dimming before timeout

Before updating to lollipop, the screen would dimm for a few seconds before timing out, giving you a chance to touch the screen again. Now it just turns off after the set timeout period, and I have to press the power button to lit it again.
Does anyone face this issue, and how to circumvent it?
Thanks
