N900T Camera blur pictures problem - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When ever I take a photo for anything the quality is not good at all its blur without zooming but when u zoom in it looks like oily painted (people or anything)
I am not good at photography...
So if anyone could help me out with the setting or is it the camera?
U can't see the photos for yourself and if it's good for the note camera please tell me?

1st quicksnap note 3

Note 3 camera is different from Note 2.
It has so many mode, and a lot auto settings.
especially when you are using auto mode, it will try to adjust the picture you shoot for the best result. So if you use this one under low light conditions, it will go into processing. When it is still processing, and you hand move/shake a bit, it will turn into "blur".
Note 3 camera is good in processing under good lighting conditions.
Under low light, use blitz will be better, but color result will be different compare without blitz.
This is so far I know about this camera, I just use a while only, and most of the times I'm still using my Note 2. perhaps others can tell you better.

[Q] Flashlight

Since i was i previous owner of a Galaxy s iii i have realized that the flashlight is around half as bright as the SIII, i was wondering if it was possible to turn up the brightness a little?
Or if it would cause any damage

The flash does not need to be as bright as the camera sensor is more sensitive.
It is really there for camera.
So since the s4 camera does not need as bright a flash as the s3... the light wont be as bright as you want.
Turning it up could cause a damage however but you would need a custom kernel to achieve that.

When using the flash while taking pics on the S4 the flash goes 100% bright like the SIII but only for a second, if the SIII can handle 100% brightness why cant the S4?

The LED does go 100% bright if needed...
but the LED itself on S4 is set up to be more power efficient.
Remember the sensor on the S4 is more sensitive and performs better than the sensor for the S3 ...
S4 camera DOES NOT NEED as powerful a flash / video light from the LED as the S3
so by default the S4 can run the LED at a slightly lower intensity because the Camera sensor by itself captures more light than the S3 does.
---------- Post added at 07:21 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:11 AM ----------
Its not that the S4 cannot go as bright as the S3... but by default it DOES NOT NEED TO.
and almost any app you use on an un-rooted device is going to use those default settings.

I remember an app way back on my HTC Desire that had an option to enable experimental Max brightness, it was a flashlight app in
cyanogenmod. I dont suppose that something like that could work on the S4?

You supposed wrong.
As long as a custom kernel properly exposes the relevant LED variables an app can be constructed to utilize them (if it doesnt exist already)
Running these camera LEDs far outside nominal design limits for long periods of time may cause damage.

Well, my task this weekend was to go to some dealer's store and test the S4's camera on the display units.. (I9500 as there's no I9505)...
I noticed the difference in between these 2
Faster focus and capture on the I9500
Less blurry shot on the I9500..
My I9505 really outperformed by the I9500 and I am kinda a disappointed I9505 user now after all I read good reviews.
I am sure something must have gone wrong with the I9505
P.S: The plastic is for sure being removed and outdoor daylight my I9505 has crystal clear picture but not when indoor even when you have good lighting..
Rear facing camera not working
My sister just got a i9505 from the UK.
The rear-facing camera doesn't work, meaning that it's just showing black, but you can still see the on-screen menu buttons.
The front-facing camera works fine.
I tried to ODIN back to stock, but it failed since the device came with a locked bootloader.
I restored it to the latest stock firmware using Samsung KIES, but that didn't make a difference. Any suggestions before I have her send it back for a refund?

Camera shutter lag or not?

Several ads are claiming 0 shutter lag on the note 3, yet say it's the same camera as in the s4.
My s4 lags (like my s2 did). S3 strangley had no lag.
Can anyone confirm?
I've read a couple reports saying the s800 might be using a Samsung sensor and the exynos is probably using the same Sony sensor in gs4. Hasn't been proven but evidence has been given, just not confirmed yet.
Any lucky people got one now and can confirm?

So, if you take a single shot it's instantaneous, unlike the s4?
Good news if so, I guess they do use a different Sensor in the N3.

Have you played with an s4? Just wondering how it compares. I'm tempted by the note for a few reasons, the 32gb internal storage, the 3 gig ram, the s800, oh and the camera without lag
Might give my wife the s4 and get one

Just had a play with one in phones 4 u. Definitely not the same camera as the s4. 0 shutter lag indeed now to find one at a good price, may wait a month or so but prob end up buying one next week lol

This S4 camera lag thing has been driving me insane for the longest time.
I've got both the Galaxy S4 and the Note 3 ( octa versions ) and can confirm that there is no lag on the Note 3 like with the S4 camera,( takes 2 to 5 to 8 seconds to load sometimes ) and yes strangely the S3 doesn't have any lag either.
the Note 3 is BLAZING, even with all of the Sammy bloatware on it. :good:
Wish my S4 camera could run like this.(am using Perseus kernel , seems to have made the cam snappier on the S4 , will update after more testing )
Cheers.
From what I read when the s4 (i9505) was launched, the lag is due to a hardware design, something to do with the sensor/shutter speed. I don't think software could fix this or surely samsung would have by now.

Don't know about the I9505 but with the I9500 it seems to be a memory management issue( wrt how long the camera app takes to load after you hit the icon). If I clear the ram before launching the camera it opens up almost instantly. ( but we digress )

Ahh I think we are talking about 2 different issues. The lag I refer to is when you hit the take picture button. It's out of sync with the 'click' sound. The image on your screen changes by the time the picture has been taken. I seem to still get the actual picture I took in the end but it really bugs. The S3 and note 3 don't do it, S1,S2&S4 all do. I don't know if the note 1&2 do it too.

Camera functionality?

Hi all... are there any plans to improve the camera at all on the note iii? I heard somewhere that they were going to improve macro focus to some degree. I just find that I can't take pics of anything moving unless we are outside in brilliant sunlight. Even sports mode isn't a big help. Tripod helps.. but it's still blurry to some degree.
When I do get a shot just right it's amazing. Clarity is something else with this camera when you mail or just right.

maybe different setting
and maybe problem with ur variant and will solve by an update
and also it can be hardware problem in last step IF u become sure no software problem
so
1. play with settings
2. search for other users that exactly in same firmware with u and compare photo ...
3. if u find any different (bad quality in urs) try to flash another stock rom (from another regions)
4. if nothing change take it for service to check lens

The camera has Jeckel and Hyde characteristics.Outdoor shots are superb for a smartphone but when you venture indoor or at night,it takes pretty awful photos.Smart Stabalisation brightens things up and limits noise but you lose all detail. If you crop in, faces and objects look like cartoon drawings. There is only so much you can do with a small sensor so I think the N3 needs a dedicated night mode and better software.don't hold your breath though.Samsung will fix this issue up but only when the N4 arrives with their isocell technology.
If you want decent photos at night you need to use the flash but the flash doesn't work well past 10 ft.
