I think you'll have to get in touch with Verizon and have them unlock the IMEI for you.

I want to know what the best method is for unlocking my Galaxy S4 SGH-1337 MF3 build Currently running on the airvoice network. I do NOT have an AT&T account but should I still give them a call and ask for an unlock code? or use an unlocking service? also from my understanding there is no sim unlock method for the MF3 build currently.
Thanks in advance!

If you pay full price, give them a call and they might give you the code.

First, unlocking the sim card is not related to the version of your phone.
So if you bought it from At&t with full price, some of them they will tell you to wait 90 days before asking for the unlocking code.
If you bought it from someone, ask the previous owner to call them and to ask for the unlocking code. Otherwise, use google, and try your luck.

are you talking about unlocking the phone to works with other carriers? yes you can on any version.
or unlocking the bootloader so you can use other custom roms? is yes, then you can't. only roots.

I'm talking for other carriers. and I tried the *#0011# method and the other one witht the long string of numbers I cant remember but it never goes to the menu to let me choose [1]UMTS.
free unlock method has been known to screw people's phones up. There are several warnings throughout that thread the mention it.
Just go with the options that I mentioned, or use google, such as "Auction website" they do some kind of these service I guess.
Actually, on the AT&T MDL and MDB firmwares you were able to sim unlock it through service menu:

http://gs4.wonderhowto.com/how-to/c...y-s4-so-you-can-use-another-sim-card-0148110/
MF3 blocked this, so the only way you can get your phone sim unlocked with the update is using ebay or cellunlocker but at a price.

Wrong forum, the G900F is the International variant and this forum is for SM-G900V, the Verizon variant.

Sorry, why buy an SM-G900V when what you likely need is an SM-G900F?

because I ran out cellphone in the states and a family member gave me without knowing that there were differences between these two.
and I would not say, no thanks, especially when we were going off to the airport

So you're asking if you can flash the SM-G900F stock rom on a SM-G900V? Before even answering that question you would need un unlocked bootloader which is less than likely. And even if you had one, what you propose would more than likely result in a brick.

Fair enough. You may have to wait for root to be able to modify then. Sorry for the inconvenience.

but it is possible since the bootloader is unlocked, right?
I do not think wrong?
as long i get rooted the cellphone the chances of brick the phone are minor?

Verizon Bootloaders are NOT unlocked... I don't know where you found that, but Verizon has not offered these phones unlocked to my knowledge.

Hi, I have a samsung s4 9505. as it's a spare I decided to play arOundle with the firmware so I installed the latest stock one. Its now locked to EE. Is there any firmware / Rom that I can install without it being tied to ee. If so , where can I download it from. Do any of you guys have one. I am uk based. I have tried the unlock method that I found on the net. By keying in *#0011# but I can't get the service menu up to change it. I had a insurance claim on my other phone and that give you the choice to use whoever you want. Is there a way of cloning that one and putting it onto my s4. There both S4 9505.
Thanks
You need to downgrade your modem or possibly the entire ROM to an Android 4.2.2 version before the service mode exploit or RegionLock Away will work. Once you do that and unlock the S4, download this ROM and install it. Then you should be good to go.
Thank you for the reply, can you link me to the downgrade the rom to andriod 4.4.2 , I'm not that techy so please be gentle . Lol

I tell ya my opinion. The best you can do is unlock your device by IMEI buying a simple code coz downgrading is always one big risk.
I have tried 2 online unlocking company's but both said they can't generate the code.

Yes you do have to unlock the bootloader and there are any number of guides on rooting the phone that can be found with a quick search.

Hi !
I'm a Canadian that bought an "USA Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S8 (SM-G950U)". I love it, but I'm confused about a thing : Why is there a folder called "Verizon" ? If my phone is really unlocked, it should not have Verizon applications on it, right ? And the "region" of the phone is VZW (Verizon Wireless)... Is it normal ?
But, I read that Verizon locked phone are "SM-G950V", not "SM-G950U" and have a "Verizon" writing on the back... Could anyone enlighten me ? Thank !
Verizon phones are unlocked, and support both CDMA and GSM. It is possible that the phone was originally a Verizon phone, but it is still completely unlocked. I wouldn't worry about it
Oh great ! But, is it possible to delete the Verizon applications ? Because I don't need them
