I have an AT&T D800, and my stupid ass flashed a D802 rom. Now I assume the build.prop in the phone is D802 instead of D800 and the LGFlashTools recognizes it as D802. There is no way to get it to go into recovery mode. I've seen a lot of posts about being stuck in fastboot mode, but I there's no way for my phone to get into that either. I assumed that if I could get it into fastboot mode, I can do something about the build.prop. I have seen some people who did this exact same mistake within threads, but there are no solution or follow up to the issue as far as I have seen. Is there just no where to get it back?
Thanks.

okay so it may not be as bad as you think as long as you can get into download mode(volume up and plug into pc) you can use a custom dll from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2483043(go to downloads and get the dll(what it does is that it skips the model check so make sure you flash 10d, 10o, 10q or 20c for the d800)) you will be able to flash back to stock d800 firmware using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
p.s. I've read that the only easy way to get into fastboot mode is by flashing a corrupted kernel just to let you know

I have tried flashing with that dll file before, just tried again now and it didn't work.
Here's what it showed.

Hello, I'm new to this forum, and like every newbie, I'm asking for help.
My problem is this:
I bought a LG G2 D802 32GB, it was rooted and with CMW. I intalled LG Mobile Support Tool and it appeared that there was a new firmware (apparently 80220C) so I installed with that software, but when it finished, the phone restarted and got stuck on the LG logo. The only thing I could do was to get into Fastboot mode and from this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477595 I managed to get into the Download mode (That one with the Firmware Update message: btw it appears: "USER B100 ROOTED"), the thing was that I didn't know which exact version of 80220B had my phone, so instead of getting the laf.img mentioned in the thread (the one of cms88168 was 80210B), I used one named: "Europe OPEN D80220B_00". In that way I managed to access Download mode. I then proceeded to use LG Flash Tool 1.8 (Used first 2014 without sucess) both from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 and this message appears:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
BTW, I used DLL: LGD802_20130912_LGFLASHv160.dll
And the rom I extracted the laf.img was a KDZ (Europe OPEN D80220B_00.kdz), the one I try to install with the LG Flash Tool is a TOT (BIN_LGD802AT-00-V10b-SEA-XX-SEP-04-2013-32G+0.tot)
Please, if someone can help me to fix my phone (I've only had it for 10 days, no way to return it), please.
Thanks in advance and cheers.
UPDATE: I used the DLL from the KDZ file and the same TOT and the LG Flash Tool (v1.8) reached a higher status in the update but failed with this message:
And now it gets stuck in the "Download Mode" screen and in Device Manager theres is no track of the phone.
I don't really know what to do.
Why don't you try with kdz ?
Here
+ you took the ota or ?
Hi, thanks for replying.
All this happened because I updated it connected to my PC.
I tried that and it throws this error: "Problem with communication between cell phone and PC"
The phone won't enter in download mode and when I turn it on, stuck at logo and connect it to PC, it appears like this: "LG AndroidNet USB Serial Port (COM41)" -41 set by me.
Is there a way to access the phone through COM to restore partitions?
No adb or fastboot working.
What can I do?
Hello, I want to update the info about this post:
I definitively had to return the phone for refund.
Now I own a Z2, it's a great phone, although the G2 is a great phone too.
If possible, please close this thread.
Cheers.
LG G2 D802 European Unlocked.
Rooted.
However, I then (stupidly) flashed the CloudyG3 ROM for the G3 instead of the G2 version. Now I get a black screen when starting up with the following messages:
[930] Fastboot mode started
[980] udc start ()
[1150] port charge
I can access download mode but when I try to flash the stock ROM it gets to 49% and freezes.
I've tried to disable the LGE modems but that doesn't help.
I can't seem get into recovery to wipe/format all the data.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Mr. Wright
Are you sure about you're flashing stock ROMs in CSE Flash mode?

Thanks for the advice.
Type is 3GQCT and I've tried flashing in DIAG, Emergency and CS_Emergency modes. Always with the same results as the process freezes at 49%.
I've read that a reset may help but I can't get the G2 into recovery mode.

As you can see, there's "Normal Flash" and "CSE Flash" options. Which button do you click to start flashing?
Ah, my apologies.
I was using 3GQCT so the CSE Flash button was not showing. I changed it to CDMA, the CSE option appeared so I chose it and voila!
Stock ROM loaded and my G2 is up and running.

Hey everybody! Please, I need urgent help!
So, yesterday, I upgraded my G2 D802 from rooted stock KitKat to the official European Lollipop, v30b. Before that, I made a TWRP backup of everything.
So, I rooted Lollipop, installed TWRP, and was about to install the new Xposed for Lollipop. Then, **** started freaking out and "LGSmartCover" kept crashing continuously, making it virtually impossible to navigate the UI.
Soooooo, I decided to revert back to KitKat via the TWRP backup.
Everything SEEMED fine, but now I cannot boot. I get the LG logo, then this message appears:
ERROR : boot certification verify
[800]_______________________
[850]
[900] Secure booting Error!
[950] Cause : boot certification verify

I do not seem to be able to enter download mode or recovery either.
My computer does recognise it as "qhsusb_bulk" when plugged in, though.
What do? I'll be eternally grateful if somebody can help me solve this.
UPDATE: I somehow managed to get into this "Hardware key control mode" by pressing and holding all three hardware buttons at once, while plugging the phone into the computer.
UPDATE2: Somehow, I managed to boot into Download mode, after doing the same thing over and over again! Trying to recover via LGMobileSupportTool now..

same error
How did you solve it ?
Hi,
I had a similar problem and I managed to repair the phone by using the TOT method with LG FlashTool v1.8 by reaching download mode.
Good luck!
If you can fully enter download mode(first screen and then the second screen),then try to flash a stock rom with LG Flashtool(KDZ method) or TOT method.
Since you were using TWRP,official LG Update tools will kill your phone if you try to flash the stock rom with them.
i have the same problem and i dont know how to reach download mode. when i connect my phome to the pc, it shows the same secure boot error. any help?

Supposing the drivers are installed in windows, you need to have the phone plugged in to comp. and then hold volume-up+power until you get the "download mode" on your phone's screen
I'm connecting the LG G2 D802 to the Windows 7 in download mode, with LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.0.4.exe drivers installed, however the drivers fail to install.

Install drivers manually and disable windows update to override whatever windows wants to install from there...
The issue was happened when trying to flash some LG G5 adapted rom on the LG G2, so the bootloader or the recovery got damaged. What I finally did was to force qhsusb_bulk short circuiting the capacitor and then using SRKtool_2.1_droidth.zip to use the unbrick method.
Then, you can reboot to download mode to use LG Flash Tool or reboot to recovery to flash the partition of your particular rom using dd (once you upload the partition images to the smartphone sdcard).

Hey scandium, I know it's been years since you've posted this,
but I was wondering if your phone symptoms were unknown device on any pc+slow charging with any charger. I currently have a G2 in this situation. It works, but has no USB connectivity whatsoever, and takes ages to charge. Do you think that shorting the capacitor and flashing the phone from scratch would fix it? I'm afraid of trying it and when connecting to the PC still get the unknown device problem and end up with a brick. Thanks in advance.

I did not have any problem with charging.
Trying to flash KDZ via Uppercut 1.0.0.0 but it keeps saying that it is an unknown model.

I have LG UP 1.14 installed with LG Flashtool 2.0.1.6 as well. Uppercut is installed in the same folder as LG UP exe.
EDIT: I would like to inform that the reason I'm doing this is because I can't seem to boot to android, no matter what I do. I keep booting into TWRP. I've tried flashing stock rom and restoring older ROM, nothing works.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance
EDIT 2:
Ok a bit of a bigger problem I guess. I got Uppercut to work and flashed 15A KDZ but now only boots to bootloader and is now locked. Cannot OEM unlock with unlock.bin because i have to allow OEM unlock in Android Developer settings which I cannot even boot to... I'm at a loss. Should I flash a modified boot image? Not even sure where to get it.
Thanks again.
A bigger problem indeed. I'm no expert, but I've heard that flashing a stock KDZ is the only escape from this all. I see in the screenshot it mentions fulmics; are you running a rom other than stock lg-g6, or deviating from stock in any other way?

I actually flashed stock 15a kdz but it still shows fulmics for some reason.
I ended up sending it to LG for warranty repair. I saw another thread that addressed this issue. Apparently it is a common problem when updating via OTA when on Lineage OS
Hello,
I'm in the same situation.
How did you solve it?
Did you send him into service? I have a guarantee for him.
Thank you.
I have same problem with flash v20b kdz firmware via LGUP. LGUP not recognized phone no model unavailable. Do you have any solution? I dont want root phone or unlock bootloader only I want flash new stock firmware

And I have that problem after installing v20b. If I can not find a solution here, I'm probably going to put it in service.
Our problem is that you do not get into the download mode, get into the fast boot when we try to get into the download mode.
I've managed to make it work!
Download the firmware here: https://mega.nz/#!sZJV1K4D!V6-UNTdsc...uOuSVlxVJ5WJjE
There's also a way to get downloade mode:
Just hold down button and power button. Just when you see LG logo leave power button for a second. Push power button again and hold with down button. Now press yes twiche for the hard reset prompt. Now IMPORTANT, when screen goes black immediately press and hold up button. While holding up button plug usb cable into the PC. Now use Uppercut 1.0.0.0 and flash your kdz.
