[Q] Samsung Spare Battery System LED (never gets green)

Hey everybody, does anybody have a spare battery system for Galaxy Note 3 with the led always red?
I can leave it on charge for 10 hours and it never gets green
ps: The battery charges fully!

That's normal, red led is only if you charge the device with display off.
Never goes to green if full charged.
You can just switch it off in Settings - Device - LED.....

OP asking about the spare charger, not phone. And it is unusual for the led to remain red, it should turn green after charging is complete.

I am talking about the spare battery system, not about the device. I am doing some tests with two batteries and also with diferent sockets.

Are you using the Samsung USB head unit to charge? Not sure what its called. But the part of the charger that plugs into the wall outlet. I had the same problem when I was using an aftermarket one but when I used the stock Samsung charger head, the light on the unit changes to green upon full charge.

I have had this happen when I put the battery in the charger AND THEN plug the charger in. Try plugging the charger in first (it should cycle through the colors) then put the battery in.

weird issue with the battery

I have verizon g6 and the battery doesn't charge more than 35% i kept my phone on charger for 8 hours and it just charged 35% it shows me that its charging

Have you tried to reboot it? After that use it up to 0% and than try it again.

Yeah i did that , but still the same , it charges to 35% and stopps there

That's weird. Maybe look on the LG support website. Looks like a guarantee case. (Sorry for my English)

Have you tried charging it while off? And or wireless charger

How To Manual Charge (temp)

Hello everyone..
I need your help. I want to manual charge my nexus using diy usb charger. But i saw 2 red and 2 black. I dont know which one i need to port in + and - .
Currently waiting a new spare part usb port from aliexpress. Maybe take a month.

You can use the pogo pins from the dock.
No qi charging...

don't try this at your home! don't connect li-ion(pol) battery to +/- USB directly. battery may burn or explode.

I have the same issue, I hope one of those jabronis forwards my message to Google devs.

I know this doesn't solve the issue on Google's end, but using Flash Kernel fixed this for me.
ElementalX Kernel did not, @flar2 said that his kernel is the same as Google's with respect to the charging.
Never asked @nathanchance if he made changes to charging in his kernel, but it charges within 2-2.5 hours for me.

This issue really fu**s up. My third pixel and it also charges from 0 - 100 in 5 hours.
Can you link to the kernel?

It's the same 5 hours whether at home, work, and anywhere else?

I only charge at home.
But i don't think it would charge faster at work

I just find it difficult to believe that 3 phones in a row all have a slow charging issue. The common denominator is the place you're charging. Doesn't hurt to try somewhere else for more testing.

Other phones haven't any problems with charging here.

I've had this issue also, but not every time.
For me the fix is a reboot and then charging goes it down to 2 hours or so.

What prior phones did you have with some kind of fast charging?

We have iPhones, S8+, S7 etc. here. All are charging well. I had the first Pixel XL, too. I had no charging problems with it. But the 2 XL is charging very slowly. 4-5 hours for a full charge. Some guys at android-hilfe.de have the same problem

Very strange. I've heard of the issue but to have a few replacements with the same problem. ??

I'm having this 5 hour charge issue as well, but I started using an old moto z play stock charger and the phone now charges in like 1.5 hours. Crazy.

Third Party Samsung Dex HDMI after Oreo Update

Hello,
I am using a Third-party USB-C to HDMI adapter with my Galaxy S8. My question is, has some one tried to use a third-party USB C to HDMI Adapter after updating to Oreo? Is Samsung dex still working?

Mine is not working anymore. Brand Scorel.
In settings doesn't appear the option to select Dex/hdmi.
Before Oreo it worked perfectly.

Got the Melopow model M002 from Amazon. Very small and light - pocket size. 1 x USB 3, 1 x USB-C (power supply), 1 x HDMI.
Works perfectly with SM-G950F AQL5 (Android 7.0), yet to be tested with CRAP.
Supports DeX and Mirroring, seamlessly transfers audio over HDMI, charges S8 during playback, stays cool all the time.
Pros: as above, also tested with Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse with no issues connected through USB dongle, supports USB flash disks

I have a Melopow model M002 and it doesn't work anymore. All I get is HDMI connected which mirrors the screen. Not showing DEX.
I am on official Oreo update G955FXXU1CRB7 / G955FXXU1CRAP.
Any ideas ?

I have the c-force cf002 I think it was. Dex still works with Oreo. Also the new touchpad functionality ?
