Switch off the phone then hold volume up + power button at same time, a menu will open where you can choose ti wipe cache and data, but remember to back up everything first.

Hi,
I've been having problems with the hotmail app recently and as a result did the reset function in settings, only to find the same problem when everything is reinstalled.
This to me indicates that this is resetting everything but somehow traces are left bwhind.
What is the sure method to erase eveything?

To erase everything go to settings -privacy -reset phone with erase everything checked. (this will erase your sdcard so make backup first)
Switch off the phone, Then go to recovery mode by pressing volume up + home + power key until recovery screen -wipe data /factory reset. Reboot...
Enjoy

or even easier go to the dialer and dial *2767*3855# that is the full hard reset/format...it WILL ERASE EVERYTHING...
So: Settings>Back up and reset > Factory Data reset is just resets and doesn't really bring it to 100% factory default conditions?
If you have rooted your phone and is on a ICS ROM please read up on brick bug issue before wiping.

Hi Forum
I'm experiencing an odd thing with the P7510. I've been using AOKP for weeks now and all the sudden the thing froze up on me. This time I'm not able to reboot and go any further than the booting screen after the Galaxy Tab logo.
I thought a Wipe data / factory reset would help but It freezes as soon as I select the Wipe data function.
Nor am I able to wipe Dalvik Cache nor fix permissions (heck you try everything at this point). - All instant freeze except for Wipe Cashe Partition and using the install zip from sdcard, back etc.
Unfortunately I do not have the AOKP zip on the tablet anymore but if I'm remembering correct you need to wipe data when installing AOKP which I won't be able to do no mater what.
Do you guys have any idea what I could do to save the unit?
Fixed I was able to bring it back using the unroot guide. Unfortunately everything I got on there is gone - Either way thank you for looking!
That's really weird.

The interesting thing is a number of cases seems to happen in mid June this year.
Is this problem date related?
I'm using roman rom by the way.

HELP!
So I tried to go back frim stock ICS to stock GB via ODIN as per instructions in the dr ketan guide and tried to load an older German Debitel ROM which is what was the original factory version.
However upon first boot, before initial setup I get several force closes with the following messages:
Google Services Framework "process com.google.process.gapps" has stopped unexpectedtly
Calendar Storage "process com.android.providers.calendar" has stopped unexpectedly
"android.process.acore" has stopped unexpectedly
Then the phone just goes into a reboot cycle.
What have I done wrong?
The only thing I did was try to synch my contacts with google before I attempted to install the new ROM. Is it to do with the synch not completing before I switched the phone off?
Urgent help needed - any guidance welcome...
Many thanks!

Hi
While downloading and installing updates of apps my tablet stopped on its own and now it's showing only google word on screen and its not proceeding further to restart OS. Upon long pressing volume key android logo appearing with other info like
Fast boot mode, product name, variant, hw version, bootloader version, etc etc etc.
On the top its showing options like start, restart bootloader, recovery mode, power off. None of the options won't be able to restart my tablet. Can anyone help me as I am new to tablets and android.
Thanks

Are you 100% stock, stock/unlocked/rooted, unlocked/rooted/flashed custom ROM....?
Were you updating your apps via the Play Store and the tablet just rebooted, now it won't boot up?
Yes. I got notification that 4-5 updates available on play store and I selected update all 4-5. Couple of apps got updated and os shut down on its own

Problem got solved after manual factory reset using power n volume buttons. Looks like bootloader got corrected. Hence os is not able to restart. Thanks.

Hello friends,
Since i updated to 4.3 i have a problem with my recent apps.
If i hold the home button my phone vibrates strong and goes just for a second into the recent apps then it jumps back to the homescreen.
I cant go for longer into the recent apps.
Tried reboot, dalvik and cache wipe but nothing helped.
Any help?

I think you need to do full reflash...
I mean HERE.
Go to recovery menu, wipe data and cache + dalvik cache. Pull out battery, put it back, turn your phone to DOWNLOAD mode.
use PIT from that link, use Odin (for me worked very well 3.09 version) and... I don't know, try. This method should work
Ohh, and also, How I upgraded:
0. Am on 9505 model
1. I used pit file (re-partition)
2. used
Germany DBT (October 2013) (firmware with Enforcing SELinux. SECURED BOOTLOADER WILL BE FLASHED, NO DOWNGRADE)
PDA: I9505XXUEMJ5
CSC: I9505OXAEMJ5
MODEM: I9505XXUEMJ5
Version 4.3
3. Did what I said - wipe data, cache, dalvik cache... same method.
For me works, but I only see few text lines at every boot (but they don't change anything, I just ignore them. I added photo so you can preview
You wiped dalvik and cache, so that means you didn't do a system/data wipe? Try that first.

Sorry i didn't understand your question...
This is what I did:
I wiped user data
I wiped cache
I wiped dalvik cache (under advanced)
and that's what i've done in recovery menu
P.s. I didn't give you instructions (even it looks like LIST) but it's not... Or do you need step-by-step instructions? Huh.. am too lazy but if you really need I can write, just tell me what
