Hellscore for CM 11 latest nightly? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Will it work together? And if it will, when I update my CM nightly, will it revent back to stock cm kernel?
Is it better then stock cm kernel? ;p

[Q] confused on cm7 latest versions and kernals

OK.
been out of the game for a couple of months not really keeping up to date.
i am running cm7 rc 1.5 at the moment.
all is well but i have noticed as few niggles and would like to flash the latest rc or maybe even the latest nightly.
so ok i see from doing a bit of reading that the latest is cm7 rc 1.0 and the latest nightly was 02/01/2012.
but i am now a bit confused as i see there are 2.2 and 2.3 kernals.
so question
do i need to flash just the latest cm7 rc1.0 and then flash the newest nightly over it or do i need to flash a kernal with them as well.
finally am i right in thinking these are indeed the latest releases?
answers appreciated before i flash them tonight.
cheers
If you want to use any defy+ builds (both cm7 and cm9), you have to flash cm9 kernel (i.e. gingerbread, 2.3).
Otherwise, just flash the cm7 kernel (i.e. froyo, 2.2).
Here're your options:
1. Flash any of the latest SBFs. You'll get the latest Gingerbread kernel in the process which works everthing - Stock, CM7 nightlies and CM9 nightlies.
2. Flash the CM9 Kernel. Then flash CM7 nightly, or CM9.
thanks for the replies.
ok i did quite a lot of reading of the cm7 and cm9 threads last night.
so it appears that if i want to use cm7 after the 12th decemeber i need to flash the 2.3 CM9 kernal but before that it is simply a matter of flashing the cm7 zip.
if i do flash the cm9 kernal and want to go back to cm7 2.2 then i simply flash the cm7 zip and the cm7 kernal.
pretty straightforward if i have it right.
however i am now not sure which cm7 is the latest stable release as i have found cm7 1.0 rc1 and cm7 1.0 rc0.
now i am gonna hazard a guess that the 0 is the latest but if someone can clarify that would be good.

now i use the lastest nightly version, if i wanna upgrade to the cm9, do I have to flash the Gingerbread kernel ?
Not necessarily. Quarx's ICS build is for the Froyo Kernel.
CM7.1 stable on tmobile USA
How does CM7.1. stable work on Defy with Tmobile USA. Any bugs like Wifi etc.
Thx

Will the CM10 Nightlies be merged with 4.2?

Or will there be a CM10.1 nightly for the Nexus 7?
I am currently running Cyandelta and the CM10 Nightlies on my Nexus7 and am wondering if I could just stay on that and wait till I get the 4.2 changes.
Best regards

[Q] Flash new cm nightly.

In cm updater I noticed newest updates were Experimental and also a nightly build. I have been installing the nightly builds but I flashed the Experimental build this time around. Do I also flash the newest nightly along with the Experimental build or just stay with the Experimental build? Am running CM 10.1 on my nexus 7. Thanks.
Realized that the new cm 10.1 experimental M1.zip is a more stable build than the nightly. I have opted to stay with experimental zip for now. May move back to nightly until M2 build or stable build.

Can I flash a jss build over the jwr stock ROM?

Hello! Can I flash an AOSP based ROM like Cyanogenmod just flash over the JWR stock ROM and it will be fine? The screen issues are only kernel related so I guess the CM kernel is based on AOSP and I can just flash it?
And when for example there comes a 4.3.1 stock ROM leak, I can just flash it over the CM ROM in recovery?

Franco Kernel On CyanogenMod 12.1?

Hi,
I want to see if i can get Franco Kernel on my Nexus 4 running CyanogenMod 12.1. I tried using auto flash on the Franco Kernel app on the app store and it gave me a warning stating it might not work... Any suggestions whether it works or not? I don't want to ruin my phone
I tried this yesterday and my Nexus 4 was stuck in a bootloop after until I reflashed CM 12.1.
In short; no, don't do it.
There is two different types of Rom's and kernels. There is those that are based on AOSP and those who are based on CAF.
You can't mix different types of Rom's and kernels. So to you can't use a AOSP kernel on a CAF Rom and vice verca.
CM is a CAF based Rom and Franco kernel is an AOSP based kernel. So you can't use those together.
