looking for a ROM with built in speaker booster - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

With all the ROM's out i'm looking for a ROM that has a built in phone call volume booster. My S3 running illusion had this built in. I would like to find a rom with this running KK. So if anyone is aware please let me know..
Thanks.

Search yourself. I already know of a few Roms that have it built in. Its easy to find out by reading the first posts of all Roms where the features are listed. So go and read.

If you know of a few Roms then point them out. I'm not looking for those that have the viper or dspmanager, that just controls media. I'm looking for a volume booster so that when i'm on a phone call the option to increase the volume of the call button would display. Now unless I over looked it, I have not found anyone listing that in the feature with kitkat.

Yeh, have been looking there, but couldn't find any special... is it because they update so fast or something?

Yeah, I tried it... It has no advantages over AOKP. It makes no sense. I don't even know why they develop it. I don't think they know either, whenever somebody asks them what is special about their rom, they are silent.

Don't go around saying what u don't know.Yes now Omni has nothing too special apart from multi window and a special performance control centre. But the rom was created as a rom and project. You think @Chainfire @XpLoDWilD @maxwen and many others will just get up and stupidly start doing sth? Those devs are some of the top and best devs on xda with both alot of experience and software knowledge any of us may never get.You want to know what is special, learn to read before posting shear ignorance.Watch videos, read blogs!Omni was launched to create and gear dev ideas into this rom.If sth new is added and works well they would then open source it for anyone to continue dev't.If they take an idea they can make it better and after publish their methods and tools for others to pick up and make it even better. If they create sth, same thing they'll publish it for others to use. They also aim at ending half baked features by using user feedback to choose what features are more relevant and what not. It's all about ideas coming to one place, becoming pulished and leaving stronger all with a user having great input. It's bare now but every rom started there even CM or your AOKP.Btw if @maxwen stops Find 5 AOKP dev't I'll see how you'll brag about AOKP for this device. He drives AOKP for the find 5 and now Omni.Do you even know the meaning of AOKP?Show respect for that!

[Q] Hello all. New again to Android with questions

Hello all. Im new again to the world of Android. My last Android phone was the HTC EVO with Sprint. I left Sprint and went to ATT for the iPhone. I have left Apple and came back to Android. I look back and ask myself why I left Android. I don't have an answer for you.
I have a few questions and I apologize if they have been posted before but I cant seem to find a clear answer using search on the forum or on google. Perhaps my means of searching suck. That could be 100% true.
So I have the S4 with ATT MF3 build rooted. I have been looking into getting google wallet so I can use it to pay for my things in the stores. I have seen some methods for the rooted phones but the dates are older and they don't seem to work. I don't know if there is a way for me to get google wallet to work. I would love to know. I have tried one method i found on the internet but nothing seemed to work.
When I open google wallet I get this message: Insufficient Privileges. Insufficient secure element privileges for this system images (release-keys).
I dont know what to do or if there is anything that I can do. Please help me find a method or direct me in a way I can find one that will work.
Thanks for your time in advance.

Questions should go to the q&a section. But you should look in to safestrap and install a custom ROM with Google wallerlt already working.

Search "safestrap i337 xda"
Read the "pinned" threads in the General and Q&A sections. In those threads, you will find a list of ROMs that are available as well as a lot of information you need to know.

When I'm using the xda app via phone I don't see pinned threads. So if he is using the xda app instead of web browser he'll have a harder time looking for it if he doesn't know what he's searching.

Then he needs to wait until he has access to a PC or laptop. How is he supposed to get "wallet" on his phone without a PC or laptop anyway?

I flashed Roms without the use of my PC before, using safestrap. Takes awhile to download but it gets the job done. I just flashed mj6 but had to use laptop for that.

On my GS3, all I had to do was edit a couple values in my build.prop with ones from a Nexus. Then install Wallet, let it setup, and after your cards are saved, change back your build.prop.
This process may be different for a GS4. Though I don't see why. It only requires that you have root.

Solid TW based rom..

Looking for a solid TouchWiz based rom, any suggestions?

Same goes to you. This has some connection to the "What's the nest ROM" threads that are always getting closed. For that reason I will tell you to flash the Roms your find interesting and see which fits your needs and wants.

Its amazing how people come Q&A Help thread and post comments without the intent to help at all. All they do is waste your time and theirs, Unless they have nothing better to do, which seems to be the case.
Anyways, to answer your question on a good solid TW ROM. Try Sacs ROM. It's the most solid one I've tried to date.
Here is the link to Sacs latest ROM.

Thank you very much my kind sir. I was looking at San ROM earlier. Looks to be quite nice, is that the rom your currently using?

Dude just try a few roms out and find the one you like. It's not about what's the best rom it's what rom is best for you. Making a what's the best rom thread is very offensive to developer's.
Love the 90s good times
Can we just close this thread please. No point if he already got his answer.

I'm currently testing a CM11 unofficial. I like to test out different ROMs. When it comes to a TW ROM I tent to go back to Sacs ROMs. They are stable and include good useful features and also allow for some UI mods.
Thread closed. We don't do "best of" here. Please do like I do and in the future take the time to read the ROM threads in development to see what looks like a good ROM. There's plenty of feedback in those threads... And only takes a few minutes... Q and A is generally meant for HELP with something YOU can not solve... This was easily solved with just a little reading... Thank you...

Does it exist?

Been looking for a new rom recently and still aint found 1 that i really like,
But i've come across the carbon rom and just wondered if anyone knows if its available for the Note 2 N7105
I've been through the list and I'm sure i didn't miss it. but if it does exist, can someone please link me to it.
I really want to give the carbon rom a go.

I did find this thread and have a look, but when you click the download link, it guides you to another page where the N7105 is not listed, but i've seen a few youtube video's where people have got it and mention being on N7105, so just wasn't sure if they had removed it or stopped updating it ect.
thanks alot though :good:
its there... N7105 also known as t0lte...

rom recommendations?

i've been using LiquidSmooth for a few months and love it....except for one problem... ASOP doesn't play well with the Sprint network. before that Triforce was my driver
I've been trying to get my APN working on this "Echo" s5 port, but ive never had any luck changing these settings (help me!)
I really love the look/feel/options that come from ASOP roms, but apparently I need to go back to an ugly Touchwiz rom in order to reliably connect to sprint's towers (PRL/Profile updates)
So what do you all recommend in terms of stability and tweak-ability (xposed, etc)
right now im looking at NegaLite and Sac's
+1 for Nega. Super stable and devs his own kernel.
Sent from my SPH-L720 using XDA Free mobile app
This should be in the Q&A section, but to answer you, both Nega & Sacs are impressive, Nega is more inverted however, I believe you can get the stock theme for it however, Sacs to me has more tweaks from multiple galaxy devices, but thats V6, the recent NG2 is still being updated.
Thank you both for your input. Nega seems good so far so i'll just stick with that until Sac has a chance to update. Parkourkid93, care to elaborate on what Sac used from other Galaxy devices? I'm quite jealous of ultra power save.
